I maximised my drops by instantly growing roses with supergrow with white innocence, fruit cake and the flowers cloud row, along with the Chestnut cloud row and the roses refinements that help super grow.
From 2556 supergrow on comfort fields of roses, I got 1950 festival blossoms....

Hi davidb1yth007, can I ask you?I am not sure if understand your last sentence well. How can you have 2556 comfort fields? Or do you mean it from beginning of event? Sorry, if it is stupid question and thanks for answer.

I mistakenly posted in the feedback section, but here it is. I hope everyone is like me and only really able to make about a ball a day. Not sure I can get any cloud row. xD :music: ;)

Edit: TC, I only have less than 100, now that I know the strategy I will have more.

Out of 15 balls you will only get to shoot 12 two stars - no more will appear.

Hi Davidb1yth007 Thanks for your input on the use of Comfort Fields and Super Grow I was wondering did you use any Howie Donuts since you used 2556 Super Grow but only got 1950 Festival Blossoms I now come to the Conclusion that Getting Festival Blossoms during this Event is giving us Below Par Drop Rate as Compared to using Comfort Fields and Super Grow gives us Better Drop Rate on Previous Events

Without a Doubt now this is hardest event to Obtain Festival Blossoms by any Means as I now using only Rainforest for Trees to get Field Bobbles i have to use to Rest of The Fields to get as Many Festival Blossoms as I can. For some reason even refined crops it not making that much of a difference to get better drops of Festival Blossoms.

Hey meba you can catch up with us as you got reasonable amount of Festival Blossoms from your Carnations. As I think that I will grow Carnations as Overnight Crops as i did not get that many growing roses overnight :wuerg:

xD I hope you are not coming for me TC! [IMG]

I got 500 bobbles from double auto tree harvest at event start and I've invested 900 super grow to get 900 festival blossoms. For crops I am only using refined crop squares, will try to get as many harvests in as I can. I've set a very very high goal for this event...

Mooboy, you can't expect to get 1 blossom per comfort field with roses (at least not without several Howies) it is just not a long enough crop. I used barley, but onions or longer should give 1 blossom per comfort field, i.e. 1 blossom per SG :)

Results published by david using instantly finished refined roses on CFs derive the exact same effectiveness I got: 76%. It's in fact a proof that blossom's drop rate indifference crop length was risen as compared to other events: the only other example I have data for is same instant roses during the Kitty event had a 90+% effectiveness. So, yes, refined longer crops should yield 1 event's drop per SG used on a CF, maybe the onions or higher as Mir points out. EDIT: Second thought: if that 76% effectiveness means anything, then one could safely estimate/expect 100% effectiveness with crops with maturation lengths higher than 10:48 -roses base time-/0,76, that is, from kohlrabi upwards (onions are the next ones in the duration line); hazelnuts should have almost 100% effectiveness.

I'm still trying to find the right balance between space dedicated to crops as opposed to that dedicated to trees. I haven't succeeded yet.

Anyway, I won't make so strenuous an effort: I don't have the time or the will to spend several dozens of minutes per mini-game; the more the drops I may get and the more bags of balls I'm able to mill, the higher will be the pain of wasting so much time on those mini-games. So, I'll get content with the drops I'll be able to get through normal farming from now on but I'll keep on trying to find the right space dedication balance. The prizes may be awesome but that pain is certainly not....... So, less prizes for less pain for me, my sudden ephemeral event motto....

Regarding blossom drop rate, I did not get good results with refined carnations and water on 1x1s at the start or with my second crop of refined roses, manure and water on 1x1s (and I am unwilling to part with my limited supply of supergrow on comfort fields). I switched to unrefined cauliflower and water on 1x1s and got better results. I also tried unrefined Lady's Bedstraw and water, which no surprise, did worse than the roses. Overall, the new rainforest has been the most useful, as it has had the best drop rate. This confuses me because I thought my "best" trees are still on the island (highest BEP) and I have planted the same crop, green tea with manure and water on both. While this may prove stripping trees of XXL upgrades improves drop rate, having two opportunites to gain drops and tree fruit equalizes that for me. My Living Legend trophy is at 28%, but no howies or pets to boost my results. With 177 blossoms to only 20 bobbles right now, I am putting all of my trees out next which are just enough to fill the glade and most of the rainforest.

I think the thing lower level players should do instead of looking at all of the prizes as something to lose if you don't get enough coins, concentrate on how ridiculously easy it is to get the really great miscellaneous prizes. Earning 60 powerfeed just for growing treefruit and crops for one day and a few minutes of mill time is pretty awesome. This really is no different than browsing in the market, looking at all the lovely items for bbs that you can't buy now, but maybe one day would be nice to have.

I agree, Aetheria. I've gotten my stables, trees and PF. I'm now collecting event star tokens and will evaluate towards the end of the event what I will purchase.

    Aetheria,

Consistently, since event start, for me, XXLs are showing a much better bobbles' drop rate than any plain 20 hs. ones. That may not be evident when one compares one single harvest, but it is evident when comparing a 24 hs span of time. XXLs, harvested twice, are in all cases, either in Farm or Baha, yielding better results per 1x1 plot, at least for me.

Hey everyone. Not had chance to be on much and I don't really have the time to scour all the posts, so would someone kindly tell me if there is an SOS thread for drops? I know it's not the same as the usual SOS but just wondered if there was one. I'm struggling to get the correct ration of drops. Just had a move round as I was getting far more bobbles than blossoms. Was rather surprised that I got NO blossoms at all on a field that had mostly trees but or so I thought, enough crops to warrant at least a show of blossoms! Just waiting for my first batch to mill (went for the premium balls) so not had a go at the shooting yet.

Back from work, (which is strangely quiet after yesterdays icehockey shenanigans xD ) and did a second harvest of the 20 h trees, I now got 323 bobbles from 4 fields all covered in trees, harvested twice. Also done 2 harvests of refined Raspberries on Main since the event started, 198 1x1 and my blossom count is 103, not too bad I think.

My strategy is to keep all the trees on the islands: an eclectic mix of rare, high EV, XXL and XL (could this be the first time they are useful?). My longest crop on Baha is Ginger so I reckon I'm better off growing my refined raspberries all over the main for more blossom drops, and stick to trees in the tropics.

I hope everyone is enjoying the event, and have a great weekend all!

I only had 27 comfort fields as I wanted to keep good trees on the glade. With the instant harvest, I was able to repeat as quickly as I could click..... plant, add supergrow, harvest... repeat 95 times !!!
The reason I use roses is That I have All the supergrow refinements.....

I got my worst drop total so far from refined raspberries this morning. Two complete fields only yielded a total of 26 blossoms. I normally get that or more from one field. So instead of planting a twelve hour crop I planted an 8 hour with the thought to going back to carnations for the long overnight.

I must remember I'm still only a fledgling farmer and my being able to do 2 to 3 premium bags a day are actually decent results. ;)

Aluntino, I'm finding the same increase over a 24 hr. time spam with XLs and XXLs on this farm and the mud_pie_man farm. I removed all of both though because the harvesting is not fitting well into my RL. Much better drops with the XL and XXL trees over 24 hr in comparison.

As the drop rate is not great for crops, I am cutting back the number of trees and replacing with crops. Also manure was nonexistent on one market and only a few offers on another.

Finding in both market that some are selling the tree fruit for way under the market value. Not so good! Some farmers are preparing for other events such as the Harvest Hoedown by producing the tree fruit with the highest EV and holding the tree fruit in anticipation. This event is an easy way to strategically prepare for another event where tree fruit may be necessary.

Since we do not have to submit crops, my farms have set reasonable goals for this event but will grow in areas while anticipating requirement for future events.

Finally, I have noticed a significant increase in the market value of higher level crops. This event may prove to be a good time to grow those crops and also receive the drop benefit for this event.
