As I was enjoying my "one" ;) cup of coffee earlier, I was thinking about another thread I was perusing recently. Can't remember which one it was, but the discussion got to the topic of hot refreshments (think it might have been one of the grapevine threads, actually, lol). Several posts were strictly tea drinkers, which is great, I love tea, I drink bunches of it all winter. I'm also a lover of coffee, tho, and will partake in a daily cup after my husband goes to work (he hates the smell):music:. Got me to wondering; what's your favorite brew? Do you love to curl up with a spot of tea? Or are you a joyous java imbiber? What's your favorite brand/flavor? My personal favorites for tea are both made by Bigelow; Caramel Vanilla (or is it Vanilla Caramel?:p) and Eggnoggin' It - what lovely ways to warm up when it's cold outside! In the coffee department, I used to adore Chocolate Caramel Truffle, especially since it came in decaf, but I can't get that locally anymore:cry:, so I switched to Double Chocolate. But I just discovered Caramel Macchiato, and oh my, it's heavenly!:inlove: And of course, there's Egg Nog flavored for when I'm feeling festive xD. If you can't tell, I'm a lover of chocolate/caramel/eggnog:D. So, what's your poison? As the fall days turn crisp, pour yourself a mug and tell us all about it.:)

I love many types of tea!:inlove: My favorite tea recipes are black tea with fresh lemon and two sugars; green tea with honey and fresh lemon; and orange pekoe with honey and fresh lemon. :)

    Coffee... Strong and Black
Kona or Sumatran are my favorites.
Has anyone tried Jamaican Blue? It's out of my price range but I had a quarter pound bag that I won for buying X amount of coffee from a mall shop. It wasn't bad but wished I had more to judge now that I am developing a tongue for flavor since I quit smoking 4 years ago.

I'm with you Banjoman....Coffee...all day long :p Sumatran is great!!
I use the K-cups, I have various flavors but I like mocha, coconut and caramel. I also have a cappuccino and espresso machine.

8)Like you, Spots, I enjoy both coffee and tea!! In the coffee Dept., I like Gevalia coffees, and their coffee club brings it right to your door......which avoids those horrible early morning forays into the coffee container - only to discover...it's E-m-p-t-y!!o_O Eeeek!! A true disaster to any coffee lover!! (COCD!!):eek:o_O

And Tea, especially Green tea, in the cold and flu season, as it is a natural antibiotic AND antiviral solution!! My favorite is also Bigelow, spots, and their Green Tea with Pomegranate is rich with flavor!
Taken with honey and lemon (or w/apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp. ea.), and added vitamin C powder (2or3,000mg.), it makes a very enjoyable 'medicine'!! Or - as the famous song says - "...just a spoonful of sugar(honey) makes the medicine go down, medicine go down.......in the most delightful way!":D

Perfect timing for this thread, too.....as Fall is sweeping our trees and bushes with gorgeous strokes of Orange and Red, and Yellow... .and all the shades in between, with the deep rich greens of the evergreen trees for background!!
What an utterly Perfect season to take your favorite cup of warm beverage out on the deck and mingle it's aroma with the deep, earthy scents of Fall!!:inlove:Aaahhhhhh....

I love both coffee and tea...wine too!!! Just saying:)

Being raised in New Zealand and Australia, of course I love my tea time! Good and strong...steeped for a long time....mostly during the winter...mmm love those herbal teas in the summer!

But the Canadian way has taken over my morning time beverage choice. I enjoy a strong cup of organic "Kick Ass" (I kid you not that is the name) coffee. Company name is Kicking Horse. And believe me when I say they deliver on the "Kick Ass" for me in the morning:)

I like both coffee and tea but shy away from coffee most of the time. It is usually too strong for me and I like flavored creamers too much to be good for the waistline.;):p

Hot tea is one of my comfort foods. I don't care for any lemon in it. Just plain decaf tea sweetened a little with honey or Stevia. I have it anytime I don't feel well. It is just the perfect thing for soothing aches and pains. I like iced tea too but could really have hot tea every day. My sister suggested adding a splash of milk to it and it is good that way too.

I like coffee. I only drink tea when I'm sick - maybe that's why I don't like it so much...
But red punch is great too and I don't have to be sick to drink that :p

I forgot, but JJ reminded me; my last trip to town I found S'Mores flavored coffee!o_O:D It's in the K cup thingies, which I don't have, but I just open it up and pour it in a coffee filter, then make a "tea" bag out of it and steep it xD. Whatever I drink, it has to be steeped for a long time before it's just right. Actually makes my husband nauseous how long I'll soak a tea bag :wuerg:. I've pretty much cut out sugar, only use Splenda, but I do like it sweet, I have to say.:music:

I am a coffee drinker,24/7:p I love French vanilla and caramel drizzle to name a few, and plain old unflavored coffee :)! I also enjoy a nice cup of tea with lemon for a change. I also love raspberry tea, very yummy. And when it gets real cold up here, I love to sit with a mug of warm spiced apple cider and watch the snow fly!

has to be coffee, black & strong - preferably Italian, double espresso or americano
    [IMG]

After I've had my caffeine fill for the day, I might have a tea in the afternoon, lemon green tea or rooibos (redbush) or sometimes fruit tea.
I'm rather partial to Earl Grey (with milk) and a slice of cake too

Do you have a favorite "comfort drink", KHiggins? Hot chocolate is at the top of my warm-me-up favorites, but I never seem to be able to make it taste as good as the stuff you get out of the gas station coffee machines, weirdly enough :pxD.

Neon, love the owl, he rocks!:inlove:

I am an equal opportunity caffeine consumer. ;) Although I take both coffee and tea with sugar and milk I don't want any other flavors going on in there. On very rare occasions I might add a bit of chocolate, baileys or kalua to my coffee as an after dinner drink but that is about it.

My favorite tea is Fortnum and Mason's Royal blend and since I have a wonderful friend in England who is willing to send it to me in the States I'm well supplied. I also like English Breakfast and on occasion Earl Grey. I don't like any flavored or herbal teas at all.
I like most coffee but I guess when choosing I lean towards Kona, Columbian, Kenyan or Costa Rican, depends what's on sale. :p Best coffee I ever had was Puerto Rican but it's frighteningly expensive. I'll mostly drink any of it except for Starbucks, I've never had coffee from them that didn't taste like it was over brewed and then left to sit for too long.

Coffee for me - or Hot Chocolate!

A tip which was given to Hubby by a very old lady some time ago is that, if the coffee is too bitter, put a few grains of Salt in. It really does take the bitterness away without having to add sugar. Go careful though, use sparingly.
