@Noelle ~ thank you to your husband for sharing the name of my mystery moth... Sphinx moth huh? :D So cool to be learning new things!
@Brooke~ Yes, we like our rings too! My hubby wrote the vows centering around the symbolism for them. :inlove:

I used my cell to get the picture of the moth... ;) I was breaking apart a rotted log left on the property and saw a bit of color, looked closer, and then ran for my phone. Luckily the moth was kinda "sleepy" as it wasn't moving much. I do have a nice camera that was given as a gift, but only recently rediscovered where I had packed the charger lol! I took a couple pictures of the super-moon eclipse with it and will try to figure out how to post them next time I am on. :)

Hope your weather in CA has been cooperating and your olive and almond harvest is doing well! Will keep praying for you for wisdom as well as for rain/snow in the right times! (As a side note, I recently read some very interesting things about pollen count and olives/almonds... I think I remember that you have allergy problems also?)

PS I am jealous about those fish!
{{Waves at Willow}} The house closing is set for Thursday! :D We are excited to finally be able to close and make needed improvements on the house. (We kinda had to fix the plumbing issues, but other things have been put off for a little bit...Who wants to fix things and install shelving, etc. when it's not yours yet lol??)
;) On the plus, I was able to pick up a very nice used washer and dryer... the price was very reasonable, so they are now sitting in our basement! (Actually I am doing laundry in them as we speak!)

Hi solo! Hope you get the passport in time for Mirah's birthday and for Valentine's day!

Well, gotta run! Hope everyone is doing well!! And if you are not, then this is especially for you! {{really big hugs}} ~CJ

It's so nice to hear from you CJ!!! :D That's terrific news about the house closing this week!!!;) How wonderful...you will be all settled if not by Halloween/Thanksgiving...at least by Christmas!!! Don't leave any boxes unpacked.......... or they may never get touched if you do. LOL:wuerg:xDxDxD
Hubby & I are headed up to the lake today...need to winterize the cabin...and perhaps sneak a few hours of fishing in.:p I've been busy at the store...have all of Halloween & Fall out now. The next 3 weekends will be devoted to preparing to put out Christmas. Lots of work..but hopefully I will have lots of elves to help me this year.:music:
Solo - I hope all is going well with you & Mirah....and there is no problem getting the passport. If we get any fish this weekend...I'll report back.

Hello all. Just when I thought things would finally get to be a bit on the calm side of things.... [IMG]

All I can say is, I'm tired. I need a break. I think I could sleep for the next whole week 24/7 and still feel mentally exhausted.

Oh well, been trying to catch up on some of these threads. Congrats CJ on your find. I was thrilled when we found our washer/dryer for a steal. Made my life so much easier.... Solo, hope everything goes smoothly with your passport and plans. Look forward to hearing how your trip goes. Brooke, I don't think I've ever been successful in catching any fish. Congrats on your 5 trout! Whenever I go fishing, it's just to hang out with my dad. Haven't actually held a pole in more years than I can count. xD Which is just fine by us all :D:pxD

@Brook, You're making me jealous by talking about those fish. I wish I could go fishing in that lake and catch some trout :D
However, congratulations. You're becoming good at fishing like me xD

@peps, Thank you, I'm trying to wait patiently for all those upcoming things.
Been saving for the trip and it's all going better than expected.
Once I purchase the flight, I want to create one of those countdown timers that display how many days till the trip.

@Cj, By the way, that's very true about not wanting to fix stuff in the house when it's not yet yours. xD

Just swinging by to say hi.. ;)

We closed on our house yesterday!! Had some stress earlier in the week crunching numbers, but everything worked out wonderfully. We even ended up with more in our pocket that we were expecting! (So very thankful!) I am so glad the house is finally ours so that we now have the freedom to do all the little and big things to it that it needs!

@solo - It's not so much that we didn't want to fix things in the house before buying it, but more that it wasn't wise to fix too many things with it not yet being officially ours yet! We did make some fixes before buying it, but we weren't charged rent the first month, so it evened out! ;)
@Brooke... unpacking?? Are you suggesting I have a problem with unpacking?? I don't know what ever gave you that impression.... {{{blush}}} (Please define "unpacking" for me. Isn't that where you decide to give things away because you don't want to store them and you haven't needed them in quite a while??)
    ;):pxD

Please tell me more about this store you decorating... I kinda remember reading something about you and (decorating?) a store in the past, but my brain is not cooperating yet this morning about recalling those details.
    :music:

    @pnp ~ Good to see you dear!! {{{big hugs}}}

@pepsi ~ Will be praying for you to find time for yourself and get that needed rest and time to recharge! Also for wisdom for you in day to day choices. {{{big hugs}}} We care about you! It's so important to find some time to rest, especially when you spend so much time giving of yourself and taking care of others.

@Willow ~ My hubby had priced some used washers and dryers at a resell shop in town, but I wasn't as keen as he was on buying the sizes they have. (I like buying the larger sizes of machines so I don't have to do as many loads). Plus we kinda wanted to own the house before putting appliances into it...
    ;)

So we decided to put off buying anything until after we closed and then just pray that something would turn up. We had noticed the washer and dryer sitting out on a lawn in town, but didn't really think much of it. After a few days of driving past and seeing them sit there, I noticed a for sale sign on them and decided to stop by after work and check them out. All I can say is that I was there at that right time as they had been promised to someone else who had backed out of the deal! By that evening, they were sitting in our basement! :inlove: So very thankful! Not only were they only $200 for the set, but they are pair of Kenmore "Heavy Duty Super Capacity Plus" that were estimated to be about 3 years old! Yeah, it was just a little bit hard to pass that one up!
    ;)

Well, I need to run... have to make cookies this morning yet and take care of some other essentials! (I got up early and got onto the computer as I couldn't sleep).

Love you guys! Hope this finds you doing well! I am only logging onto my farm once a week or every couple of weeks so usually when I post here, I have visited there too!
    ;):D

Congratulations CJ on the closing of the house and finding bargain appliances. :) It will be nice to now do all the little (and big) things you want to do on the house to make it 'yours.' I hope you continue to like your new job and community. Big hugs to you. Miss you but know you are always thought of and wished well.:)

Congratulations CJ!!! :D Yipee....the house is yours!!!! Kudos on your "swoop & scoop" on the washer/dryer set!!! LOL...I was only kidding about the un-packing thing. We are all guilty of leaving boxes in the attic/basement etc. At some point it's just best to donate the things we don't need/want anymore.
Which brings me to your question about my store.....a worthy destination of gently used everything & anything. It's a high end thrift store that benefits needy school children to buy new school clothes. We also support abuse victims. I am in charge of all display. I attempt to make our store look & feel like a beautiful boutique! This is a bit tricky at times...due to the fact, I am limited by what is donated. But our community is incredibly generous and our store manager is extremely industrious! Every week we scour & pick up items large & small from estate sales to add to the weekly huge amount of donations we receive. Last year, we clothed over 3,300 school children!
We have over 200 active members, many of whom, have become very close friends of mine.
It's a National organization begun over 50 years ago by one of my Grandmother's friends. I am now the 3rd generation of our family to be honored to serve.
You'll like this story(being an educator)....My Grandmother's friend was a schoolteacher in a poor section of their city. She kept a closet of new clothes, shoes, coats for her students who didn't have proper clothes at the beginning of the school year...or were ashamed/cold or scared to come to school b/c of their clothing situation. Betty Ann was her name. So she started to become known as the clothing teacher. Many, many families started coming to her for help in clothing their children for school(especially before winter). As you can imagine, on her income, it was becoming more & more difficult to provide. So she started asking businesses/friends/stores to help her fill her closet each year. Then she recruited all the teachers at her school to do the same....and my Grandmother also became involved, along with many other women Betty Ann inspired. It became known as Operation School Bell.
Okay....are you sorry you asked??? LOL:wuerg:xDxD
If you would like to know if there is one in your city igm me and I will give you the name.

Thanks, I am trying to find my recharge time. It's just hard to do sometimes. I have to search extra hard for it.

Brooke - Your store is amazing. I'll be looking into if there's one close to us at all.

@CJ, congratulations on your new house! Now lets have a party at your new house. xD
I'll be bringing pizza and soda.

@Brook, Sounds like such a nice store. When my mom was alive, she used to shop at a similar store like that.

    *Added*
Looks like if everything go's as planned for my future plans. February is now officially the month I'll visit Mirah. I'm currently 57% for reaching my goal with saving money for the trip. Still have, November, December, and January to earn more. I say by the end of this month, I should be at 73%. ( I will get a monthly attendance bonus)
Should reach my goal by the end of November.

I have been thinking since it's kind of expensive with visiting, maybe I'll proposal to her while I'm visiting. That way we could start the K-1 visa in a few months after I go back home. I have spoken to a guy at work about this. He done the same thing with his wife who's from the Dominican Republic. He said the process took six months till she was able to come and get married to him in the United States.

However, it would be very nice to be together soon like that, but I'm not in some hurry and can wait as long as it takes. I'm still young and I understand that people will be judgmental because of my age. Anyway, I don't let peoples negative thoughts affect me. So far I haven't encountered any negative people. At work I have spoken to three people that I'm dating a girl from the Philippines. They all have been very friendly about it and said nice things. Also my family doesn't seem to be against my future plans.

CJ Congrats on getting the house! I hope you are settled and having a good time;)
Solo I am sure you will make it and visit her on February:) It is good that your family agrees with you, Mirah's family is okay with your plans too?
How could it work? We can't look into your eyes because you turned your back to usxD (I am talking about your avatar):p

This week I had free time to visit the forum and play Farmerama like I used in summer because I didn't have school. I didn't have school because students took over the school so teachers can't get inside. The school I go is in the same building with the school with students younger than me and the other school has no teachers so this is their way of protesting. This happens every year because every year we don't have all the teachers we need but this year the problem is even worse...

so sorry Arielh! Did this last all week? How long do you expect it to go on? I hope the situation is resolved soon.

@Arielh, Wow I am quite shocked that has happened. I hope things will improve and everything go's back to normal.

I believe her family is completely okay because we're very close in age. Also I have spoken to her father and he seemed fine. I plan to talk to him again before I visit. I would like Mirah to meet my family as well. So I will be asking her to do video calling with them soon.

The visiting will happen if of course Mirah stays faithful to me and doesn't change in a bad way. You have to consider, we been chatting to each other every single day since February 10th. If the relationship was to fail, it wouldn't have lasted this long. Even after the fights, we still want to be together with each other so much. We both have said things we shouldn't have, but we never wanted to end our relationship.

Anyway, my passport comes on the 11/06/15 or 11/07/15. I will search for the best flight once I have it in hands. Or maybe I'll wait till like December and see if any 50% off flights again like last year.

Willow Maybe we will have to make up for the time lost in the Easter Holidays. But my school(senior highschool) will not have to because we weren't the ones who did it so the junior highschool may have to come to school in Easter.
pnp Yes it lasted all week! I don't know if it will last longer. I personally believe closing the school is not solution but most students want that.
solo you don't need to be schocked this happens every year. Every year we don't have all the teachers and every year we close our school but not for a whole week! At least we have books, because 4 years ago we didn't.:oops:o_O

Today one TV channel showed us in all Greece. Live the president of the junior highschool was interviewed and I also was there:D Moreover our problem is written in the newspapers! But still it is no where near to be solved:(
