Strategy: Firefly Festival

I keep looking at this and am thoroughly confused. If a lantern is lit, can you toggle it on and off again? If it stays lit, I can't see how you would manage more than 1 pattern because others would need some of those turned off. I am really not sure which of the special prizes to go for first as I am afraid that may be the only one unless you can turn them off again but that may mean having to do them over and over.

 

It stays lit and once you complete all the lanterns in a pattern, you get the pattern prize. This means that you may only need to complete one or two more lanterns to complete another pattern and get the associated prizes. The best strategy is just to fill them all in and not worry about the patterns. Once you get them all lit, you should have all the special pattern prizes.

 

I have temporarily given up thinking so am growing and then will go back over this thread when my very tired brain can cope! Checked my barn - 4 white cows, oh great! Breeding outside BBDay it is then.

 

My first harvest gave me 79 flags and I've got 18 scarves, including 6 gifted by my wonderful neighbors. I haven't had any problem with scarves disappearing. My biggest problem is the 20 white cows. I still haven't replenished my power feed stock from the last breeding event and they are priced way out of my range in the market, plus with the movie theater not working properly, I am low on BBs. I'm growing rosemary right now while my first crop of Glowberries are growing. Like Mooboy I don't understand why people are spending so much on rosemary and peppermint when they can grow it themselves using CAC.
We are our own worst enemies when it comes to prices. The haves make a fortune off the have nots by pricing everything so high, but that's the basis of a free market economy. Supply and demand. I, too will make some CCs selling rosemary and peppermint. I'm not complaining about anybody making all they can. I'm just saying.... For what it's worth.

Edited" I just got 1 flag from harvesting two parrots and another 1 for harvesting a couple of trees.

 

I think a lot of people are fairly unhappy with the amount of white cows. As a result, I wouldn't be surprised if they announced another BBD at some point because it's a fairly long event.

 

Finally have my white cows. Even had an"extra" one. Decided to sell it. Not sure why. I'll just now have to breed the silly thing again for my quest to build a pink pen. Oh well. The CC's were nice to see added to my account though.

Just waiting on the crops and drops. Not worried about the crops but am a little concerned about those stupid drops/scarves. It's just like the Easter eggs in the city. So hard for me to log in that often to pick them up. Ugh. I'll do my best and hope I get enough. Might be seeing me over in that SOS thread

Got a total of 29 flags and 23 scarfs. The ones that were on the field when I started, disappeared before I could catch um!
Happy to sell my cows with a big profit...kinda makes up for the lost drops

well now brokie boy .... I must admit i may have solded a few moo cow or two the past couple of days ......
But i must tell you ..... soap and water was invented for a reason, wouldn't hurt you to use it once in a while ..... and no a quick swim in the creek ISN'T! the same thing! ..... and as for the way you rub that scented car pine freshner over your body let me tell you it isn't fooling anybody! ..... NOTHING can cover up that stank

And when city folk are tired of me smelling like a cowturkey then

I'm NOT using the lake you use that's more like a muddy puddle with green stuffs in it! disgusting!
I have a couple more cows in storage not any where near the numbers you keep .... still deciding if i should market them now or hold out that lil bit longer lol ...

 

Frogs, white cows have stabilized in price on this market it seems. Surely some are breeding regular cows and brown cows. Brown cws have even dropped in price. Just sold a lot of 400 regular cows at just over 2140. No one needs that many cows unless breeding.

OMG Rosemary Selling over 500 CC Each.....Peppermint Over 400 CC Each..... This Certainly never been sold as high as this in the Markets in History since Farmerama Began......This is Huge Reward in itself to those Hoarder Farmers....

I Reach Third Harvest of Glowberries planted about 625 of these into 1x1 Fields ready for overnight, the rest was Rosemary Crops I need to have Re Think here weather to Focus on Maximising my Growth of Glowberries in all Fields or just used Bahamarama and Rainforest Fields for Glowberries crops only focus growing either Rosemary or Peppermints with Refinements I am going to do a test while i typing this posting.....

Cool Peppermint with Refinements only Takes 2hr 38 Mins to Grow from usual 4hr and 30 Mins I shall keep an eye on the Markets on these crops as at some point soon the prices will start to fall when most farmers have completed Lantern Number 4 and Lantern 14 so those Marketeer Farmers Keep an Lookout....

Hey Broke I am Focus on Crops Rather than Animals for this Event as 50 Rabbits and 50 Turkeys not making huge CC increase compared to Rosemary and Peppermints...Refinements on Peppermints is a big Help ....Frogs and Broke you can have all my manure anytime lol

 

Is the spawning of the scarf very slow for anyone else ?
They say they will spawn 6 at a time ... But i only get one spawn at a time .... so far i only have 16 .....

 

From what I've seen they are pretty consistently appearing between 15 and 20 minutes. I've got 33 so far, including 6 I've received from my awesome neighbors.

 

do you get 6 at a time Doc or just one like me?

 

What do you mean when you say "Do not unlock an specific lantern that is not lit up in the Pattern Prize you are aiming for!!! Unless you intend to all 16 lanterns?
