Strategy: Firefly Festival

They pop up 1 at a time. If you don't click on it they keep adding more from what I understand.

 

Ohhh ok thanks Doc .... i thought i may have been doing something wrong and getting short changed lol

 

I can't quite decide if it's better to leave the scarves alone and collect all 6 at once or collect 2 of them every 45 mins or so. Does it come out to be about the same? Am I right in thinking that collecting them resets the timer? Don't know why I find this bit so confusing I'm sure it's not that complicated.

I went back and reread the original postings by Mooboy and Mir. According to those postings the first one pops up. If you pick it up, click on it, the next one pops up in 15 minutes, but if you let it lie the next one pops up in 20 minutes, and so on... From reading that I would say , if you have time and can, you will get more quicker by constantly picking them up. I've been trying to keep picking them up when they first pop up and I've got 30, not counting the gifted ones and I'm in the western USA so I've still got quite a bit of time to go today.

 

@Doc425 Yup been collecting them all day and got 40 (have not gotten any from friends) and I am on the east coast so calling it a night. Real pleased with my progress. 4955 event crop, 279 flags and now 41 scarfs . This event can be done, just have to keep plugging away. Good luck again and good night. The Quickest Way to Build Up your stock of Firefly Scarfs is to Click on it Every 15 Minutes !!!

The Max of 6 Firefly Scarf Remains in The Main Field after 2hrs 45 Mins until they are clicked on...this will happen overnight unless you are able to Login in Every 2hrs and 45 Mins ok....

FarnerMolly22.....The Lantern Chart Above list the requirement to unlocked 16 Different Lanterns....what i am saying is to those farmers who does not have all of the requirement in Their Barns to unlock all 16 Lanterns....Do not Donate Requirements of a Lantern if you are unable to complete the certain pattern of dots.....during this Event But I am sure you and Many other Farms will be able achieve this Fingers Cross

 

But even if you can only do a couple of the lanterns, the individual prizes are still very generous and for newer farms may make a difference to further advancing or getting much valued CCs. And while yes there are even greater prizes for completing a patterned row, there is still value in doing what you can even if you cant complete a row/pattern.

 

I'm still confused.....I've started to unlock that which I currently have....if I now click a pattern, do I start over with the lantern-pattern...? What about the random few that I've unlocked so far...? I really don't see me getting ALL the Pattern Prizes when I unlock all 16....that sounds just way to easy...?!..

 

i must say i'm lost on this one also ..... i dont know if i just unlock all 16 lanterns if i will receive all the prizes or if i have to go about unlocking them in the "bingo" patterns

 

Once you light a lantern it will stay lit for the rest of the event... and then it can be used in creating every pattern that it fits in. You do not have to re-light lanterns each time you create another pattern.

As you progress thru the event and create each pattern (eventually lighting all 16 lanterns) you will win each of the special prizes one by one. So once all 16 lanterns are lit up (no matter if you do this pattern by pattern, or by lighting one lantern at a time)... you will have won all of the individual lantern prizes, as well as each of the special prizes.

that was where i was stuck in understanding.... i wasn't sure if you light them up once and collected the prize .... then next time round you had to donated all over again to collect the next special prize ....

GuineaUp is right.

If you unlock the 16 lanterns, you get all the prizes and also all the special prizes for the 10 combination.
Even if you do not follow the combinations you get the rewards for the lanterns. Also if a combination is made out, you get the additional combination prize automaticlly.
Lantern once lit stay lit & you need not do them once again.
Many players might not be able to do all the 16, so it might be helpful for them, if they can chose the combination based on its reward & start working towards them. If you feel you can do all the 16 lanterns, you can j\ignore the combination & do all the lanterns. You will get all the special rewards automatically.

I am doing all the lanterns. So not concentrating on the pattern/combination. Trying to acquire the requirements one by one and finish each Lantern

 

I agree FionaSky, but I think what Mooboy is advising (if I understand him correctly) is that if a player has limited farm resources and has a goal set to win a specific special prize then they should stay focused on lighting only the lanterns needed to create the pattern for that specific prize... otherwise if they light other lanterns along their way that are not in the required pattern they may run out of resources and not win the desired prize before the event ends.

I did understand.

Sure if you only have limited number of flags or ability to make the packs (for example), then it is better to concentrate on the pattern that gives the prizes you want most first or the prizes you want/need the most first.

But there is value in a lighting a lantern even if you arent able to create the whole pattern.

4,800 for each egg? That's crazy. They're still in the 200's on my server and that's up from their normal 130ish.

And here I thought I made a killing when I had 4 extra White Cows (275,000 each) and 63 extra Brown Cows (85,000 each) to sell.

At this point I'm just waiting for the crops to grow and the drops to be accumulated. I ended today with 202 Flags and 55 Scarfs. So it looks like I'll be finished before Saturday. I'll probably make the transition to making a field full of dogs as soon as I have the event crops completed (tomorrow).

 

Have done the breeding of the 20 white cows .... So far what CC's i have made from this event....have been put back into buying things to go in it LOL
Hopefully at the end **** that is if i ever reach the end **** I might have made something

Eggs on my market are around 260! My baby farm's market is around 163.99! You are lucky with your market, David.
I find that this market always sells higher than Chevrefeuille's ... no idea why. The irony is the baby farm needs the CCs more!

Back to topic, think I am on track: crops will be done by Friday morning at the latest, Flags by Saturday and Scarves will probably take the longest ... I have 36 so far but am working this afternoon, Friday and Monday so will not be able to grab as many. I will make up for it on my days off in between. I am quietly confident, though I might be joining Pepsi in the SOS thread in the final furlong!
