Exchanging Gifts

During event times:

- on the day of the event wait for the 14 hour difference between the server time reset and the beginning of the event, so you can exchange event items from the first day
- make a list of all the items you will need for the event, see what you will fall short of when you have multiple event gift options
- contact your friends and let them know what you need, ask them to make a list so they don't forget your preference
- let your friends know if you participate in that event, and if now what items to send you in return
- ask your friends what they think they will need , offer suggestions if they haven't done the above
- contact your friends if your need changes, asap
- Don't send somebody the gift that you want to receive ! , maybe they want something else, ask first ( especially because you expect to receive something useful in return you have to make sure you also send them what they want)
- during breeding events i see a lot of people sending Pheromones, but those can be bought with CC, while other items can't, people have different needs depending on their economical status, while 1 Pheromone might not be of much help, using yourself and advising your friends to use the Pink Jelly buff and to activate the breeding runes from the tree will be worth a month + of exchanging Pheromones
- let your friends know you finished the event and what items to send you from now on


Off event times:

- contact your friends and let them know what is your general preference during the off event times
- some items from the garden items are the most desired items as you can not buy them with CC, most people prefer the toolbox but remember to ask first as some of us don't build workshops
- again, talk with your friends and make a list, some may prefer sugar, salt, herbal elixir etc ..
- as a general rule try to exchange items that you can not buy or get with ease by other means

In our country it is considered extremely rude to ask your 'friends' to make a list of your preferences.
Not all players speak your language, so asking may not help at all.

You can suggest your gift preference instead of demanding it.
Sending others the gift that you want can work perfectly for others that do not speak your language. And that way you make your preference known without mailing them.
If others want different gifts they are free to contact you if they wish.

How can you see a lot of people sending pheromones? You can only see your own farms...

Having a lot of changes in your preference is not a desirable action for many. Most do not have list and/or do not care.

I would suggest to simpy send 1 mail if you want event items and toolboxes for example. To ask to please send toolboxes and during events the relevant event items. And ask what they would like themselves.

 

I think the player who suggested making a list for gifts is rather rude! All gifts have their uses and should be received gratefully!
