People, really, just stop selling some items 1 at a time, like animals, products and crafting trade ( with exceptions)

example: most times somebody comes to buy Red Punch will not buy just one it will buy 20, 50, 100, that means 2 clicks per item to buy it, it hurts our hands and makes the game run slowly

and since i am on the topic of selling, stop selling manure in quantities smaller than 100, that adds up to more than 100
    example: 70 and 30 is ok , 51 and 51 is not !

I just see a rant here rather than any strategy
But if it bugs you, why not sort your market by quantity rather than price?
maybe some people don't have 20 red punches to sell?

i was talking about the ones who do , like the ones who list 10 items 1 at at time or 20, 2 at a time , you know what i mean, the only one ranting here is you , if you don't have anything constructive to add please restrain yourself Sir !

and yes it is a strategy, first of all helping to make the game run faster especially during events is a good thing, maybe you are just that type of person who like to disagree with everything and everybody without bothering to say why the contrary is a good idea ...

And maybe there are those who can only afford one item at a time ... new players have to start somewhere. :)

you are right, i did said with exceptions tho, there are items you don't need more that 1 or 2

that being said, how would you like to buy crops or manure one at a time ? just because some may not afford them ?

    usually then i sell to the market ( crops for example, i list 8 x 200 and 2 x 1000, or 5 x 500 and 5 x 9999 , depending on the item )

also when is like an event where you need 50 eggs for ex., it would be great if sellers would list 50 items or 5 x 10 items instead of 10 x 1 and then even if is clear they were all sold at once they do it again and again ... and we have to click like crazy people trying to fill the bucket with a spoon

Also in terms of manure, you can only buy as much as you can store. So if you haven't opened all of the runes for the manure pile and you are still on 100 manure you can't buy 100 unless you are empty. So it would be pointless buying 1000 manure all at once as I have not opened all of those runes (I am up to 150) and I would be wasting the rest. People do sell things in bulk. I sold 2 lots of 100 mulberries in the last event, and 3 lots of 100 acorns. Because that is how much you needed for the event. I thought it was common sense. But especially with breeding animals and products made in confectionary etc. you don't always have large amounts of these things to sell. Or things like snorkels.

Would you be angry if I had a single lot of 1,000 eggs listed when you only need 50? (Done and sold successfully several times during the last event.)

or 9,999 apples listed when you only need 10? (Have sold several times and there is a reason.)

I began the game buying one apple tree in the tutorial. I began "somewhere."

I came here and read and just listed 10 lots of one apple. Angry? (My objective is to sell them while polluting the market.)
My offer for 3,333 apples has just sold.

Some need 2,000 chickens. Why or who? (Maybe a mass breeder or some milling anaconda feed)
Some need 3 chickens. Why? (For a quest or a farmhouse order)

I have also been so broke I could only list one poop. (It sold and I began my antics again.)

Don't like manure in lots of 51? Too bad. (If I have 102 manure and want to sell all during and event I am going to list two lots of 51 to sell all of it and not just a single lot of 100 and be stuck with two.)

I feel your frustration with the lots of 1's when I want 10,000 of something. Easy though! Watch TV, have a max price you will pay in mind and simple speed buy. Eyes on TV, one had on the mouse and one hand on the return key. No thought.

Sorting as Mr_Grumpy suggests is not such a bad idea if one wants a specific quantity to view. One may pay more for the item than buying a few more. Each to their own.

Some know little about the game in order to apply price and quantity. I think one is fighting a continuous loosing battle if trying to stop others from selling in what may seem illogical quantities. And the same goes for price. We can only control our own behavior.

RL calling to work'. I'll come back later and see if my ten lots of one apple sold.

    -------edit--------
The ten lots of one apple sold. Which is better, the ten lots of one or the one lot of 3,333?

One other thing to mention which hasn't really been addressed. Posting rants like this to the forum are rarely worthwhile. Generally speaking players on the forums are connected and operate at a much higher function than that of the random player who doesn't care about the community a game like this has. Essentially a rant like this is only preaching to the choir. Most of us prefer even quantities of whatever we're trying to purchase. However, as everyone else has already pointed out, there are plenty of reasons to deviate when selling on the market.

I totally agree, when I started I did not have enough cc's to buy loads and was grateful for anything I could get with my limited funds

Sometimes it is frustrating, but sometimes quite useful, when manure is high and all I need is 1 or 2 poop I really don't want to buy 100. As for crops when I was a newbie buying one starter seed from the market that was cheaper than the shop was a great way of saving my cc. Also last time they messed with the market it was with poop and look how that's turned out so the last place I want any tinkering is the market just in case :wuerg:xD. So, I shall respectfully disagree with this one.

I'm not a fan of purchasing things on the market but when I do, it is always in lot's of one or two.

Several ways that 1 amount items are posted.

Some just are out of CC and can not post more
Some just do not understand that they can make bigger lots
Some are just plain and simple KIDS, that is what happens with a child friendly game
Some are new to computers/gaming, like little children and grandma's etc.

And last but not least, only a small amount of players are actually active on the forums.

Just buy them all up and make somebody happy, and be happy yourself that you did a community service to others that hate it.
Or maybe just click to the next page and be done with it..

BTW: You can fast buy the market items if you click the buy button and then press enter with the pop-up. The market window does not go anywhere and you can fast buy a page empty in seconds.

  15. This is still a rant about how other people sell produce or products, based on an irritated self-interested requirement. What does it matter if there is only one of something, you don't have to buy it - it's not a mandatory purchase - and it hardly takes up more than a few seconds of your precious time to click on another page. Or, as someone else suggested, just sort by quantity instead of price.

This has been an issue with some players on and off since the dynamic market was first introduced a few years ago; their irritation that a few players put up one item for sale. It has been discussed over that time and the same arguments come up on both sides with the same conclusion - the irritated player(s) are just wanting others to accommodate their personal game plan.

I shall sell 1, 10 or 100 as I please, not as dictated to by another player. I shall also, if I decide, sell manure in 51 or 15 or whatever to suit me, not someone who wants an even number.

Can I also correct your assumption of the royal 'our', since it doesn't hurt my hands and you certainly don't speak for the majority (as you may have noticed from the subsequent comments). I'm also not an 'it'.

You are also incorrect in assuming others wish to buy or can afford even, for example, 10 or 20 red punch - I often buy one craft item; and again if I wish to sell them in ones, I shall not be governed by some other player having a tantrum.

There are many hundreds of new players who are short of the ccs required to pay the 10% market fee. I often click on a few 1s, just to help out other players, even though I sometimes sigh when I see a list of single item, low priced produce. Mainly because I think of this game as more than just 'my' personal fiefdom and hope that purchasing those will help a a broke or new player.

Since this is not a strategy discussion as such, I have no advice to offer the OP nor others on how to develop a strategy for selling or buying at market.

    you look irritated, very
your response is just a rant about how other people opinions should not be heard while you sure exercise your right to say that you don't like something, this is what a forum is all about, if you cant socialize then don't, we are all entitled to have our Own opinion if that makes me a royal ~edit~ then so are you, and everybody else, we all see things thru the royal our , however that does not give you the right to insult me, however subtle that might be, if you don't want people to post their opinions on this forum go make a post about it ( see how that stupid sounds ? ), while you reply to my posts keep it civilized !

and yes, i posted my personal opinion, Problem ?
