Dress to Thrill Event Strategy

I wasn't criticizing all of you're hard work BlackCaviar, it's very much appreciated. I just noticed something wasn't matching up when I was trying to mill enough of the colored fabrics to complete the first room (the first room shown on the event window anyway). Maybe the FAQ will get updated...

 

24 hrs into event and I have a little over 7200 creepy cotton, 342 spidersilks, and 82 glimmershrooms And I didn't rip my trees out Now off to the mill I go

 

Thanks Banjoman. I have used it but I was afraid to use precious MM crops to get the trees first in case I was a few short to finish one of my FSQ levels ... yeah, I know, it would have been more logical to get the trees in but I didn't have the new crops sooooo, I thought the trees could wait. Might see how many I can get in at the end of the MM event and blitz the last levels, if I have enough of the appropriate crops. Oh, so many choices!

Also, I am trying to get some control on my FOCD and not go into my evenings with farming. I spend way too much of my time off pottering about the old farmsteads so I try to aim to "stop" by about 6.00 or 7.00 (when not working) - though I sometimes slip on to do "important" stuff!

For those who will fit the milling in slowly, putting in a few fabric at a time, I just calculated that we need 33 of each color. I find it much easier to track how many I made, then counting how many crops and drops I have received/need. This way when I snag the prizes as I quick as I can, I won't end up with extra event crops or milled product.

 

I am into the event - full-pledged from now on.

It Seems I missed the login issue as I had trouble getting stable internet connection even for a minute from day before yesterday evening. I tried logging in yesterday morning. Got a white screen with alphabets. Tried several times. Same result. So I just left it. So I missed the tension. Sweet are the uses of adversities ! Did what I could yesterday night - the stalls. Today my net problem has been solved. Now everything is fine. Pulled out all my stalls & planted seeds. Stalls gave me very good drops. So no complains. Feeling happy.

 

Yes, there are lots of different ways to keep track! If you read BlackCaviar's summary (post #1), you will see that totals have already been calculated, including milled products, for that very reason. But it never hurts to have more than one person doing math (as long as it's not me!)

Where do you get Glowmold?...haven't heard of this before

 

It's the event drop from MM crops in the new field....

Actually I should ask are you talking about the Glimmershrooms (event drop) or the Glow Mold which is an MM crop? either way you find on the new MM field.

 

Hi... actually glow mold is a MM crop, it's found with all the other MM crops and takes 8 hours to grow. Glimmershroom is the event drop in the new MM field.

And I cried when I used up one "broke Spooky Poo" worth 397ccs on that market when doing the tutorial

Okay day 2 and I feel a little better on my results, 7900 event crop, 508 silk, and 81 Glimmershrooms Closing shop for the night Night all time to count the sheep

 

I think I'll begin the event tomorrow.

 

Limited amount of time to participate - only at 218 Spider Silk, 50 Glimmershrooms, 2775 Spooky cotton.
4 days to go avg at this point (above/2) should get another 436 Silk, 100 Glimmer, 5550 Cotton
total 654 Silk, 150 Glimmer, 8325 cotton.
I need to change up something b/c it looks like I am going to end up short a lot on Silk and Cotton.
Current strategy planting roses at 6am main fields, baha cotton full time, MM bat flower - cannot log back on until about 10pm then I run full fields ghost cotton/MM glow mold - up at 5am harvest repeat - takes me about 45 minutes to manually harvest all these 1x1's.
