Nellie, your MM field should give you glimmershrooms (funny green looking things) as a drop not spidersilk.

 

I'm sorry Nellie, but you're right. That's just wrong! You should at least get 5 to 7 Glimmershrooms for an 8 hour crop.

Maybe you should get with desi20 and find out what he said to the drop gods to get them start giving drops again.

I'm getting much better drops today and I only need 7 Glimmershrooms and 119 silks. Then I will start milling. I haven't done any milling yet. I was just accumulating goods before I started my milling.

 

Yay, despite the pathetically dismal start I got off to with this event (due to getting caught up in BP's login issues and being unable to plant good overnight dropper crops to start the event with), I finally got far enough along to win the CR plus one of the extra givers . I planted refined carnations for today, but I'm not sure if I'll manage to get the last 2 givers and finish the event... but I am trying. I still need quite a few Spider Silks to finish. So we'll see. I really don't want to resort to posting on the SOS thread... I try to only go there to see who else needs my help!

EDIT: Congrats to all those who have finished the event or at least accomplished their goals!

 

Add me to the cloud row completion. I think I still have enough time to complete the entire event.

I was really afraid that I'd get caught in another login problem and that would screw my progress up even more... so I decided to mill what I needed as I went along. I uhhh (ahem) grew far more event crops than I needed to, but that's ok, I'll get reimbursed for the extras at least.

Yes I was planting bat during day and glowmold at night and CAC eating round the clock.

Banjoman gives me hope that maybe if I just have a go at it for all fields of ghost cotton maybe I can do this 64 hr to go! Current stats austg1 349 Silk 86 shrooms 6135 cotton and austg 446 silk 104 shrooms 7623 cotton

I saw another post about using crypt vase and rose jam - does boosting ep help with drops or only the length of time on the crop?
Was just looking through artisan list and nothing except gnomes look to reduce growing time on main/baha crops - am I missing an item?
I think reducing growing time is only through the greehouse - which I have not dared go there yet

 

OMG!!!!! i still need 160 silks the drop rate for me on silks has been terrible and i have 18 hr crops going .hope i make it i dont like not finishing an event .but all in all was a fun event no new trees same old stuff dont know about pens yet havent put them out

 

frmrlife, EP boosters like crypt vase and rose jam affect Ep, they don't increase drops. In addition to the things you mentioned, tiki timers (from carousel music box) reduce baha vegetables times with 20% and the flower cloud row reduce growing time of flowers with 10%

playful, your average is over 200 drops per day, so with 2,5 days left there is plenty of time to get the last 160

I did buy the carousel and I used one on chili's was a nice booster - saved me from buying water on the island.

 

with 3 field overnight raspberries, got enough spider silk to finish whole event.

Only need 115 spider silks to finish! I'm putting off planting the overnight crops yet as I opened the gift box so I'm trying to take advantage of the +1 harvest. I'm really low on some of my essentials. I've a plan to plant my refined carnations and hopefully scoop up a big chunk of those needed silks.

My feeling on the glimmershrooms is that those that have the LL rune opened are getting decent drops and those that don't can't place their trophies so they are getting really low drops. Not completely fair but I can see where allowing the trophies on that special field is just a nightmare waiting to happen. Just more incentive for those working on the LL rune to open it up I guess. I seem to be doing fine on the glimmershrooms, but am not sure yet about spidersilk. I still need close to 300.

 

I have completed This Event Got The Last of Spider Silks I needed......As we are Rewarded with +1 Crop for 36 Hours....I would suggest to Take Advantage Particular Spooky Crops and Vegetable Crops combined with Cloud Row that gives +1 Vegetable on Top of that gives +2 Vegetable or use can use Spring Boutonniere Giving +1 on Sunflower Crops or Use Oat Bread Giving 25% More Wheat on All Wheat Harvest

As you Know that CAC Gives +2 Crops on Top these combinations....But Also Suzy Supergrow can be used Giving you another +2 Crops on All Non Comfort Fields too. But Both Spring Boutonniere are Oat Bread are both Gold Slot Buffs. As Terror Bouquet is needed to speed up spooky crops growing time which used Gold Slot Buff but just leave us with 1 Gold Slot which limits our choice which buff will be most effective to your kind of farming.

But it does mean we need to strip out our Dog Kennel Pens which i have done then put these back ready for Dog Breeding once +1 Bonus Runs out. I am going to use Suzy Super Grow on some Long Timed Spooky Crops to Take Advantage of giving me + 3 while my CAC is still running can Boost this to + 5 by using Suzy Super Grow on Top of That which Help us in Super Way....

Please Make best use of this +1 Crop as you have only 36 Hours Window Good Luck Happy Halloween to All Lovely Farmers

 

I am in the same boat woody. I've got more than enough glimmershrooms, in large part due to my great neighbors, but I am still 112 short on silks. The drop rate seems to vary quite a bit from one day to the next. I should be able to finish since I've got 2 more days, but the first 2 days I was getting over 160 silks per day. Then it just dried up yesterday, but it picked back up today. You may have to resort to the SOS thread to get 300 though, depending on where you are. I'm in the western USA so the event ends at 6 am my time Wednesday morning. That gives me 2 more days to get 112 silks, which shouldn't be too hard if my drop rate stays like it was today. With over two days to go, this farm has made it to Room 5 and now I only need 40 Spider Silks and 21 Glimmershrooms. Cheverefeuille is not far behind, needing 97 Spider Silks 40 Glimmershrooms - well within the daily average requirement so no worries there (famous last words!).

I have been working a long weekend (with the associated tiredness) so I am very happy with my progress in this event. Two days off to finish the event and maximise the rest of the prizes from the Seven days of Halloween (what a lovely surprise - I have been seeding manually as I didn't want to waste vouchers when I wasn't around to use them fully - yeah, I know I'm a skinflint ... but what can I say!!!) .

 

Have completed my goals! Finished the event; got the extra givers; and collected the Calderon Cat and Cerberus for the other MM cloud row. Have the stables and trees out in hopes of pleasing results.

Love your suggestions Mooboy! I hope to finish off at least one MM FSQ during this remaining time.

Have sown all my fields with carnations and Cactus...they seem to be my biggest giver of drops
So hopefully i will make 243 spider silks before the end of this event

 

Still have the fox & the 5th room to complete.

@Willow I too got the Calderon Cat and Cerberus. Got the cat yesterday & Cerberus today. Activated the Jack cloud row.

I started the event one day later, I use again comfort fields and today I started milling
I don't know how far I can get but I really liked the 36h or harvester helpers that they gave us I think it will help me a lot!
