Are you ready to burn your barn? What are farmers doing at the last minute? The market price for some items has gone wild.

Best? Best for YOU should work out fine.

Lots of crops selling at good prices right now and will continue until the faqs surface. Just as with any other event, holding a little of this and that should give us the choice to decide which part(s) of the event we choose to do. Many barns seem to be already on fire and will quickly tumble to the ground.

Best for the TOP 1000 competition? I originally said have 225 million minimum ready to seriously play with the big boys and girls. But with the rain forest open and knowing many are using it to grow tree fruit for this competition, I must revise my estimate to one should have 240 million exchange to play or leave it alone. hahaha Ah big ol barn fire!

The farmwife (tlcmom) and I will be sitting in the skybox cheering on the home team in the TOP 1000 competition. I just wonder what are these farms doing at the last minute now? Some are miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighty quiet.

I don't know broke. :music: I've been slowly trying to hoard all valuable (ev wise) all year. The island has the highest ev source as far as trees..as in the Pitomba & Goji berry @ 444 each. Then products much the same...Chopsticks, flying carpets, peanut butter and bikinis are all very high.
As for main land products..the best are timber, fake mustaches & snorkels. Mainland trees & crops are pretty disappointing as far as EV is concerned.........so I would need boat loads. But there are some high ev mainland animals.....I'm not going to mention...b/c prices have already started to skyrocket.
I can't wait to see what the requirements are going to be this year!:p And what is or is not allowed to donate.:wuerg:;)

@farmer_broke I dont think you need 240 millions. It depends on the prize, but I expect the last one would donate less than 150 (last year it was 127).
During previous years, maple sap and almonds went down right after Christmas to 20-25 CC. People woud stock hundreds of them during this time.
This year, I recall seeing them below 30 very few times and since May they've been over 80. And lately is over 100 (at least in our market).

Last events have been highly demanding and I don't think lots of people have enough CC, so the ones who are going, will have to use what they already have. That's my guess.

I'm still thinking wether to go or not. The prize is the key, but I want to earn some CC to complete some breeding quests. Hard to decide without the FAQ.

    What am I doing?8)
    1. getting new pc notes ready, to see what is the most wanted areas.
    2. Sitting back with the barn doors locked, reading tips, when to look for good buys and when to grab.
    3. Wishing players brave enough to play the best making EP treats incase I know anyone so I can send a pick me up.
    4. check the locks again, as I watch the dance from far away.

Prices here are odd some things are lower than my notes as base price, other things make me go you got to be kidding I will grow it 1st lol.xD
well back to growing.... as I said some areas people are buying faster than I can grow, loving the CC's already.8):inlove:8)

Nope, not by the hair on my chinny chin chin love the <Ming dynasty go figure> I don't scare my barn, he's just a baby.

I cannot believe you farmer broke, with all the flying in and out of products you got going on I really can't see you keeping the doors let alone stopping for a lock, think you may have sold the 1st one long agoxD

    @mingling

I just don't believe you locked the barn door. hahaha xD I like the idea of growing what you plan to sell though. Selling into barn stocks seems to be just another way to burn your barn at this time. (I don't think we will be able to replace goods sold with much cheaper stocks although there will be exceptions.)

    @escalonilla

Hi Escalonilla. I have been watching sap prices too. Before answering I listed two lots of 5000 at over 101 and they are gone. Some have ccs waiting to give to you. I certainly would not bother you especially in the market. (I did clear ALL the Baha animal feed today as you probably guessed....have any for sale?)

I have a baby farm, mud_pie_man, that is looking for fresh ideas how to prepare at the last minute. It already said to heck with the event, cleared the mainland trees, and did the Mingling act: locked the barn door and planted crops to sell.

I'm looking for last minute preparation ideas from others. Mingling's way is my way for now. xD

I have locked those barn doors tight. Only spare manure is going to market.
Currently raising animals to donate very low on numbers in the barn so trying to boost.
Looked at numbers for last year and hoping I have enough to complete event.
Then to cheer the home team luck to all the great folks here in EN forum - GO TEAM!!!!:inlove::pxD

I have raked the courtyard and lit some candles to show the rich farmers that my door is open 24-7. I will deliver whatever they ask and as long as I can if they got the cash to pay me.8) If they are nice I will give them a candle to help them light their fire.:p

Besides that I am trying to navigate on this chaotic market. Prices are going crazy on some stuff and other are way below average. Several products, animals, feed, crops and tree fruit are being cleared! o_O Haha I just love that.xD

I play the products like lettuce and some are selling at ridiculous high prices. I admit that I love this market chaos. And I must remind myself not to play too risky…

I wish you all the best of luck in the top 1000 race! You are sooo cool!8)

Good luck to those going to the top! I will cheer you on from the sidelines. I will quote a good friend that I have "attachment issues" and will not burn my barn. I have not prepared adequately for top 1000 as I have gotten distracted with shiny pink pens.:p Best wishes to you all!:)

Am only doing the Basic part of the event. The Top XXX will be attempted once I am over L100 in the Game. Which is next year, and also if I am still alive and playing.
Good luck to all who will attempt...

I'm such a hoarder my barn is well stocked and ready for whatever they throw at us for the Basic part of the Event. I will not go for the Top 1000.....I like having a full barn :p

For the Top 1000 I will sit on the sidelines and cheer the players along [IMG] Good Luck

Good luck to all attempting the Top 1000 run!:D

Thank you for the links Mooboy!

I am hoping it is like last year event - everyone can participate if just asking for Animals, Fruit, Crops and Breeding Animals. No specific item just general XX amount of value is very nice.

Asking for tools and product items makes it difficult because a lot of farmers will not have the pens to produce the product or enough tools for what is being asked.
A nice gift if BP release the requirements now to give everyone a few extra days to prepare.:music::inlove::D

@frmrlife even the basic part of the event is challenging. If it is similar to last years you need to have a really good stock of animals, fruits, and crops that are high in EV value. Then there is the breeding animals....last year it broke my heart to part with my hard earned breeding animals. But the prize of the Chestnut Cloud Row was worth it.
The problem is we never know what they will ask for...so be prepared for anything ;)

Nothing was more disappointing to me than last year's Chestnut Festival. I was totally unprepared even for the basic part of the event though I had been playing for at least 6 months. I don't remember ANY rumors about it but maybe I just didn't understand what I was reading. I was only able to get the first deco item (the chestnut deer) and the cloud row (that sits empty to this day). I was fortunate to get the second deco item (the chestnut spider) by coming in second in the Christmas food contest. I was also lucky enough to trade for the third deco item (the chestnut hedgehog) in the most recent G&T. However, I don't know if I will ever be able to get the last deco item (the chestnut farmer) to complete my cloud row. I know I am not the only one trying to trade for these elusive deco items. I remember that there was no way I was going to complete the Breeding animals even though I had participated in numerous BBDs where skips were more generous. I just hope I have built up my barn inventories enough to complete the basic part this year. I will support any of my friends and neighbors in a quest to get into the Top level part of the competition but I will not be joining them.
