That's what I am trying to do. May be next year instead of 2017. I might give it a try in my another farm. May be growing trees all through out the year. Not tearing them off. Not doing any quest. But trees harvest..harvest...harvest..

Will it be effective ??? I was hoping someone would open this thread & post strategies to approach the event.

Statutory Warning : TOP 1000 is highly injurious to your Barn. TOP 1000 causes your Barn to go empty & makes you bankrupt.

I have been playing since almost the start of this game (six years in March) and even now some events catch me out! I have recently taken more notice of "rumours" but I still tend to be last in the queue - not sure if I miss the vital elements or whether that habitual distraction from farming (work :p) is to blame. :D

I have tried to be a hoarder but I still find it hard to sell my stock even when the prices go through the roof. I am getting a little better - at least I think I am! :music: But I am nowhere near the high hoarding league of Broke, Mooboy or many of the other market/barn wise farmers out there. :inlove:

Now, having said all that, I toyed fleetingly with the idea (sown so adeptly in my poor little noggin by Broke - thanks Broke, another Lonely Chicken going to Muddy for that!) and looked at what I laughingly call my fruit store! I don't think I can make a tenth of what was required last year so ... I am preparing for 2026 now! xD

I too will support all those who are going to go for it this year. Good luck to you all! ;)

I hope there won't be a Breeding requirement. Just donated most of my animals to the poor FSQs...

Seeing how I've only been playing for a few months I'll be sticking to the basic event and hoping I can get it done. I do have a decent stockpile of animals, both regular and breeded. I've got a decent amount of tree fruits saved. Last but not least my crops are kinda spotty, but I think I can make due. I'd be lacking severely if they came after products.

I certainly won't be going after the Top 1000. I just hope I have or can buy what's needed for the event. I didn't even bother to go to get the cloud row, and now everyone can do instant roses. It would be nice sometimes. It does depend on the FAQ if I do the same thing as last year and not even finish the event. I admit products is the only thing I'm really hurting on, that and possibly breeding animals. I am much better than I was last year. :p ;)

I have been stocking up my barn, but I think what I may do is sell and then buy some breeding animals to make some pretty pink pens!:inlove: I'll probably do the basic but even that can be painful with the breeding stock required.

It does not look like I have reached my goal for taking part in Top 1000 this year, even though I have tried to make up for lost time. Still calculating, but it appears as if this farm will fall short in a few areas.

Whether this farm is able or not able to compete, no worries, because It will be supporting those farmers who do. You all have my best wishes for success!! :D

As mentioned in an earlier post, Until the allowable items are posted, one does not officially know what will be required. While Maple Saps, provide a high amount of EV, it won't do you any good if one year they are not allowed for donation. In some eyes anything/everything is good for the right price. Only a few XX's have spots in the field, They vary and only because they pretty up the place. I was surprised the Cork trees are pretty.

I have noticed the Kiwi's just love to sit on their nest, they sit and sit. The sun rises and sets and still they sit & the Wolves just love to roam, for hours... A few are found on this farm, but I'd rather see the pups and kittens playing about. They tend to scare the moose, so cute!
Sitting/roaming vs. playing to each his own...

Same can be said for products some just take forever... and some are done in a jiffy, but here though the tide turns.. forever = cha ching, pick a day, any day during the week and litter the fields, becomes routine....Jiffies are snapped up from shopping trips.

Good Luck to everyone who's numbers are spot on ;)
Good Luck to everyone scanning the markets :p

    Edited- brought to my senses.

Top 1000 is also highly addictive, causes a great deal of excitement,is a great challenge, and is highly possible to continue actively our farming operations , just for this.Of course participation in this event requires an excellent preparation, commitment and devotion to this issue all year .My message is quite simple ,go for it,when you are ready!!:);)

I looked for to see what products were excluded last year from donation but could not find it. I do remember reading it somewhere. Does anyone remember what products could not be donated to top 1000 or know the link?

Thanks Mir:) I don't know how I overlooked that in the FAQ! LOL I do remember a discussion about eggs, parrot feathers...but couldn't remember if they were included or not. That's what confused me...I thought some were included but not others so thank you for pointing me in the right direction.:)

Gosh, this looks difficult - but now I know where all the 'chestnut' things come from!

Wish I'd known about this sooner; now I know to save up for next year. :)

I am Monitoring My Market to run up to Festival Hoedown Event. As many of us are seeking combination of Things which has best or high Exchange Values which is needed to be able to Tackle the FestiBuval Hoedown Event.

But Everything has gone up in CC Prices in the Markets compared to last year or even the year before that. Which might gives indication that not much Good EV stuff is set at cheap price any more which is going to make this Event Far more Expensive to Fulfill in this year Festival Hoedown to All Farms who has Certain Shortfall of Requirements which are required to Complete Each Level of The NON TOP 500/1000 Part of this Event

Even Breeding Animals and Products have Climbed in Prices, if you do not have a health Barn then you might or will struggle with this Event. I am being to wonder how much Barns stock can be access for those who needs to purchase certain things which have shortfall off or is thing of Going for Top 500 or Top 1000

But I have a Hunch that the amount of Donations into Top 1000 last year, will not be a high as this year compared to some who have donated about 175 Million of Barn Stock who finished in 1000th Place Last year I cannot remember the Final Figure but rough guess of it

It will be interesting to see that values of Event Crops which certainly will be Coloured Mushrooms I am guess Each Colour of Mushroom have Different Exchange Value Each. Which we can Donate Surplus Amount of Event Crops towards the Top 1000

But having said that we do have an additional Field RainForest to Might Helps Build up Event Crops....it would be nice they have high Exhange Value even Near all the Fruits have gone up steep % Increase lately. What i also noticing the Quantity of these Fruits in the Markets seem to come in small bundles which not going to be huge help if it is not going to much of dent to donation Requirements it is asking for if this Trait continues for those who need to stock up their barns might turn out more tougher than you hope it will be so we will see how it will Fathom ;)

Anyone know what time we should be looking for the starting post - with time change and all are we still going by CEST or CET? Assuming CET

Mooboy, watching the prices too. I think this is hilarious. Anyone shopping for items to compete in a TOP 1000 event is really overpaying. I did sell some maple sap in lots of 5000 at what I thought was a ridiculous price and they went.

I know we disagree on minimum donations required of TOP 1000. I'll stick with 240 Million minimum. Remember, lots of dog money out there, a rain forest addition, and the opportunities to prepare while doing events. If not, I'll harvest a cloud and send you a "junk CAC." But I definitely understand your logic here.

Agree, the quantity of tree fruit in offers did drop. My baby farm rode the market up since last year. It began acquiring at 22.6% of EV across the board and at 50% of EV it said enough with the foolishness. I'm seriously thinking of NOT trying to send the baby farm and selling all the stock.

The baby farm is making a really risky move. At the last minute it is shifting items from one item into another in volume. This is very risky and I do not advise it to anyone unless they know their market, how to play it, and thoroughly understand EV analysis in detail, trends, uses, and correlation.

Seriously, there are some large lots on this market. I am definitely aware some a not for this event. Several of us on this market are repositioning inventory among ourselves for our own reason and logic. My baby farms cannot even dream of playing that game.

Thank you farmer_broke, Mooboy for your knowledge, experience, and protection.
I know you have given me a different perspective in regards to the Top 500/1000.
This Farm & Myself are no where ready to take part in this years event.
yep, so out classed it's
