Since there is no strategy after FAQ , So I decided to Try my 1st post

You may call this as 2015 harvest Hoedown
This is a very special & different event compare with previous is:

There is no need to care for any drops, mill item if you do not want
    to enter Top 1000

So, basically farmer to finish part I of this event is just do the below 4 room
(that mean grow the qty of crop required)

There is no order for this 4 room/Lv , you could donated your crop at any Lv/room you like

Orange honeycombs grow time is 8 hr
Blushing stars grow time is 4 hr
Blue parasols grow time is 5 hr
Forest lanterns grwo time is 6 hr

    the cloud row give you : 7500 EP, 7500 Baha-EP, 7500 CC
Cooling time is just 10 hr , so I think it is really attrative & doable.

Lastly talk about the huge challenge : Be top 1000
Remember do not need to do this if you do not think you could get into
    Top 1000

First, Do you really need to collect those mushroom stew?
As a farmer do not even think about enter the Top 1000, My point of view is not really
correct, But I think ,if you want to try your best & you got time, CAC(you surely need it
if you need to grow those event crop(FB call junk!) ,then you should not miss one of the
donated stuff: mushroom stew (value : 15000)
make me think about those golden chestnutxD

Mushroom stew will start to grow when you finished the 4 room, grow time is 8 hr, how to
speed up it, you need to give them GrowGain (Mill item A)
according to FAQ, You could add GrowGain multiple times, that mean you may reduce the
time upto 1 hr or instant(it need to check by those try top1000)

To mill GrowGain you need : 1 x Secret Ingredient, 3 x Vermiculite (drop item could be gift)
What is Secret ingredient (I call it Mill item B)
    Ingredients: 12 x Blue parasol, 4 x Orange honeycomb, 8 x Blushing star, 6 x Forest lantern

So, No one could tell you how many drops & GrowGain you need to Mill as none will know
how much mushroom stew they could grow!

Lastly, what could be donated ??
    FAQ give you good answer:

Overall, Only do 4 room for those don't want to wash up their barn or used up their
CC or BB to fill the bottomless TOP 1000 Pool,
I here announced that I will only do 4 room. those top 1000 although prize is attractive.

Best wish for those well prepared
Anyone got mess up with my post, pls go to FAQ to get clear idea :wuerg:
    https://board-en.farmerama.com/index.php?threads/mushroom-harvest.22527/

Edit: sorry, I forget those genius could calculate how max. possibility one day could grow mushroom stew.. But let them tell you, I am not good at this !

2nd Edit: Oh, I copy the light out giver for Cloud Row, Must edit !

3rd Edition Base on Mooboy's point of View (post #18 )
    Don't Mill anything!

It will be waste your CAC & time, space of your field to grow 4 event crop
in order to speed up collect the mushroom stew since you could best use your
field & CAC to grow more efficiency crop (look at your own eight hr crop)

    Thank you dnin21cent.

Curious about the lights out giver, though I doubt I will even try for the top 1000. The rewards seem rather light compared to what has been given in the past.

Thank you dnin21cent. Even though I went through the FAQ, I didn't think of this...about not wanting the drops to complete the event.

I want to stress on some other points too:-
    • Mushroom Stew - Can be collected only after you have finished all the 4 events & TOP 1000 is unlocked.

    • So for those who wish to compete for TOP1000, its advisable to finish the 4 rooms as soon as possible & start harvesting Mushroom Stew. Because the value of a mushroom soup is 15000

I must agree with you woody, If I look back to last year FAQ(thank for Mir85 for post it on
the hoedown thread), I think the prize for top1000 really less attractive in comparison

Thanks dnin21cent for all your work.

    Cloud Row
    Gives: 7500 EP, 7500 Baha-EP, 7500 CC
    Cooldown time: 10 hours
Requires: the 3 event items (not the Top 1000 one)

    Lights out
    [IMG]
    Size: 1x2
    Time: 8 hours
    Gives: 850 EP/Baha-EP +30% more EP for 4 hours
can be placed on all the fields except MM playfield

Somehow I missed how much seeds we will get. Probably five. Since it is allways that way when having more then one species.
    Love that giver.

I am relieved it is just a grow, grow, grow event and I don't have to part with my barn. :)

While it may seem the rewards are not as attractive to some players, 60 PF is nice and a cloud row that can be harvested twice a day is a good thing for me.

The top 1000 prizes are less than last year but remember that last year we had to donate millions of EV in crops, trees, animals and breeding stock to even begin donations to top 1000. This year it is just crops.

With the addition of products being able to be donated, I think we will see very high donations in the top 1000 as the players who have been acquiring stock for a long time were able to build up a nice supply of inexpensive items (consider parrot feathers as an example).

    Good luck to all!:)

Yes it is nice to have an easier how down.
    No breeding animals and tools.
I just wish we could get "lights out" without being in the 1000.

We might be able to do the 4 steps just on3 fields.

    thanks Dienstag & flyfree

I had copy the wrong item for CR,
The FAQ had not tell us how much seed we get, maybe it will be as usual 5 seed for
more than 1 event crop introduced !

After growing the mushrooms, I will watch from the sidelines. At least no need to time those long growing crops for the initial good harvest pf drop items.
    Good luck to all...

    Can someone advise me.

I had fields full of workshops. Removed them just now. For drops, what shall I place, comfort fields + Carnation + supergrow or Trees/XL/XXL whose Ep is more than 100 ?
Which will give more drops ?

I am happy as well that only event crops are needed for the basic rewards! And I agree with Pnp; the rewards are nice prizes. The PF, CAC and SG benefit all players; and the CR is has a good EP reward for 8 hour reset - very attractive for those farmers who like the long term benefits of collecting cloud rows!:)

Thanks for This Posting Dnin21cent Well Done to your Posting. It was not easy to work out Mushroom Festival FAQ as you did well to Clearly Explain What The Strategy is in order to complete this Event.

On Basis on my Analysis of This FAQ compared to Last Two Harvest Hoedown of 2014/2013 Respectively as we Need to Complete 4 Rooms for This Event.....Which is very Easy to Do to All Farmers even with or without using Rainforest...with CAC running it all can be grown within 48 Hours of This Event.

It Actually we do not to donate any Animals,Crops,Products or Even Breeding Animals to these 4 Rooms at All Which is Great News for All of Us as it always been a Tough Event to do in the Past !!

All we need to do is Grow the Event Crops Requirements. There is Event Drop Item called Vermiculate is is not compulsory for this Event at all

Reason for This Most of you will not be Entering into Top 1000 as it be at your Peril unless you know what you are doing !!!

    NON Top 1000 Method

    • No Need to Get Drops of Vermiculate
    • No Need to Send Vermiculate to Neighbours or Buddies
    • No Need to Mill any Special Ingredients
    • No Need to Mill Grow Grain
    • No Need to Collect Mushroom Stews (after 4 Rooms Completed)
    • Make CC in The Markets to sell Your Barn Stock of those selling for Crazy Prices
    • Send Pheromones to Your Neighbour or Buddy That is going for Top 1000 as they are worth 500 Exchange Value
    TOP 1000 Strategy
    • Do not Grow Surplus Blue Parasol for Top 1000 Donation
    • Do not Grow Surplus Blushing Star for Top 1000 Donation
    • Do not Grow Surplus Orange Honeycomb for Top 1000 Donation
    • Do not Grow Surplus Forest Lantern for Top 1000 Donation
    • Roses and Carnations are best Crops for Top 1000 Donations both of these can be Enhanced using Refinements which can be grown quicker
    • Do not Bother with Animal Donations as it is too Costly and Ineffective to Do !!!
    • Do not Bother with Breeding Animal Donations as it too Costly and Ineffective to Do !!!
    • If you have Parrot Feather Trees use Suzy Super Grow on these to Boost Quanity of Parrot Feathers, Also using Pineapple Cake Buff too
    • Any Island Fruit Tree Guava or Higher has better Exchange Value than Maple Trees plus you can reap +5 Fruits per Tree using Pineapple Cake Buff only Island Fruit Trees !!!
    • Fruit Trees has a much better Exchange Value than Crops so Try Donate all the Surplus Fruits you have into Top 1000
    • You may have notice all Fruit Trees Prices have climbed steeply in the Markets but it will be very expensive to snap these up to Donate into Top 1000 we have to see if they is ample amount of these is the Market which remains to be seen
    • Do not Donate any Tropical Crops they have terrible Exchange Value
It is going to be interesting about Quantity of Exchange Donations in Top 1000 ;)

Mooboy, although I'm not go for top1000, just curious:
according to your words, for not grow surplus event crops, So, do you think
to speed up mushroom stew , making the "GrowGain" is too costly & time consuming ?
Just wait 8 hr to get mushroom stew is better than make those GorwGain?

This is going to be the easiest Harvest hoedown I've ever seen. Just grow, grow grow and here I've already started clearing my farm....no need to. I think it will be possible for almost anyone to finish the basic part. The prizes are really nice and I for one am relieved I don't have to part with my breeding animals this time.

For those that are going for the Top 1000, please let us know so we can support you. As Mooboy said we can send you pheromones to drop down that endless pit. ;) Good Luck to you all :inlove:

It is not worth the Effort and Resources to Produce Grow Grain to Get Mushroom Stew as you Mushroom Stew is only worth 15,000 Exchange Value without using Grow Grain they take 8 Hours to Grow than 3 Per Day that only 45,000 EV This Event only Active for 6 Days on average Taking Two Days to Grow all needed Event Crops leave you 4 days Leaf Getting on Average 12 Mushroom Stews that only going to be worth 180,000 EV which is hardly going to make any Real Impact into Top 1000

On Statistics on last Two Hoedown Events The Top 500/1000 are making Millions of EV Donations therefore 180,000 EV worth Mushroom Stews as you are better off growing either Roses or Carnations to be used for Donations

If you have Vegetable Cloud Row which gives +1 then is worth Growing Leeks for Top 1000 Donations Growing Crops to make Special Ingredients plus Milling Grow Grain is Time Consuming and Pointless !!!

    12ss12

To Whom who have Workshops Ready for this Event...if you not going for Top 1000 there is no need to Panic and Pull our your Workshops and as it pointless to Mill Grow Grain which needs 3 Event Drops Items therefore Event Drop Item is not Essential at all...But those who are going for Top 1000 I strongly advise to grow Carnations or Roses or Leeks using Vegetable cloud Row to be used with CAC...

Anyone have clarification that scented trees, which produce pheromones, are now classified as a workshop product? Where may I look at the workshop?

I plan to get through the first four harvest goals quickly to start collecting the mushroom stew in the event window every eight hours. No, I will not be making GrowGrain or throwing my farm into the event black hole, but the stew has value. There is no cost to just collecting them every 8 hours and they are worth 500 ep and 500 cc at the end of the event. Not alot, but free is always nice.
