Mushroom Harvest Strategy

Illy, I think I saw Yaki2000 yesterday too and Brookeham and Ajjg/Mooboy (playing around). And thanks surprising me with Wilson on the mud_pie_man farm.

Mud_pie_man has donated only roses ..... and with smiles remembering teddy.bear and how the farm began. All goals for the farm were completed with that single donation and appearance. (Mentor Brookeham sent Wilson. I know she is on-site so I need to behave....try.)

Decisions are continuously being made during preparation regardless of how routine and methodical they become. There are two remaining questions. The first question, a decision has been made as to the limit. All contributing to the TOP 1000 are displaying and destroying their farms. With no doubt, one may conclude that their barns are burning; and brightly so. Some items have been saved or sold and they would been/are foolish to donate anyway. Only certain items in three classes make sense to donate.

As the barn is burning one naturally begins to think of recouping ones losses and the long-term survival of the farm. (Some farms will never return to what was previously regarded as healthy.) The question which MUST be answered as one donates is NOT which item in a class do I donate but: Which item(s) within a class do I NOT want to donate. Not in any order of class:

• Products - parrot feathers, eggs, cow milk, honey. (The "broke FOCD Clinic" cannot help one donating anything else, the clinic does not perform brain surgery.)
• Common tree fruit (Too numerous to mention items)
• High level, high EV crops.

A participant will not know the correct answer with any certainty until after the event, perhaps several months afterward. But one will learn the answer I promise. One knows one is burning their current ccs (barn and items which can be sold at a profit.) But one should not be so quick to burn ones future profit potential.

An actual example:

Last year I acquired (by the most efficient method possible at the time) and donated a portion of Lychee and finished 19th. I did not receive any answer. The importance of an answer, however determined, was known. The effects of an error in judgment surface as one continue to compete and thin. Several months later, Lychee turned out to be a component of Chameleon feed. The acquisition method cannot be disputed BUT I did throw away the future profits.

The additional price was paid after the event. Due to the above final decision by me, the farm as yet to return to the level of Lychee it previously held. And it will not for sometime to come if ever. Even with an answer there is no one to blame.

The broke farm has completed growing the event crops, completed Part 1 and is now holding.

Caution to those contributing with questionable holdings: This is a long event and the growing of the highest EV crop in order to donate it, which fits into ones RL schedule, is essential in order to remain competitive. The mud_pie_man farm is growing crops and will continue.

I have seen a few names I recognize - Frycio, davidb1yth007, yagki2000, and mud pie man. We are all rooting for you! I apologize if I left anyone out.

Rookie mistakes on day 1 of the event plus being gone a lot that day led to muddled thinking from fatigue has left me still growing event crops today. I did not take down the glade or Rain forest as it is just too tedious to put back the xxl upgrades on trees. So...I am still growing, growing, growing. I hope to finish on both farms today.

 

I saw david1yth007 and Frycio too and apologize for not previously mentioning them. I was elated to see them both.

Remember the junk CAC you sent? The mud_pie_man farm used it before this event in order to practice growing on the farm and test its readiness. There were no "rookie mistakes" made on that farm in growing this time. Again, your gift to the farm helped long long ago.

hahaha And you are right along with teddy.bear and Mentor Brookeham to blame for the farm even existing.

And Illy's chevre whatever farm played a part (too often with her stunts) and I blame her ..... with now her dumb pom poms.

 

I made a really stupid mistake I donated my crops but was in the wrong room now have to wait to get the 5 seeds and start again!

 

ops- a - Daisy - my mom did the same thing except she donated her first 5 seeds and had to wait for them again! You still have plenty of time

broke - I am just overjoyed that you are growing more junk crops this week for donation. Had I not read earlier in this thread that you already have enough CAC for the event duration, I would hunt up another jar of that junk magic crop yielding CAC! LOL As it is, I did learn a lesson and sent you a Wilson to supervise all operations

 

I finished the event in the afternoon.

Here is the list of English Forum Members who have found place in TOP 1000. There are 3 lists in the Event Window of TOP 1000 - All, neighbours only & English members. I took the following list from it. I am not able to find david1yth007 now. I am sure I saw him in the list earlier today. Can someone check it out. Anyway I am including him too. He might spring up suddenly by depositing more.

Remember there are 3 different English flags that get you to the EN forum and it will be why you see some but maybe not others if you are looking under the English Forum members. The filter only lists one flag and so the other players who log in under a different flag are not visible.

I took at all the three flags. Logged in through all of them. Third one did not have any English speaking players in its list.


Even though we have three English Flag listed, the English Forum is same for all of us. Isn't it ? I think so. But not sure of it.
I missed something exciting

 

Good luck to all who are competing for top 1000. I highly doubt I will participate. If I do, it won't be until the last minute. Basically, even if I could do it, the rewards just don't seem worth the cost to me. Maybe when I am done with all the farmer quests or such, but not now.

I did more or less the same thing, thought I had planted a field with the blue ones, but did not. It is a delay, but not a huge one.

 

WEll I've finished the initial mushroom Harvest and I love my new cloud row. What to do about making more .... or milling.... I'm not sure what to do. I guess I could make some more event crops and reap the rewards afterwards. I do not intend to mill, as I can't compete and even hope to come close to top 1000....... I work far too much and am gone for long hours at a time. I am however going to be about tomorrow and I hope to keep a close eye on all your progress reports..... I will cheer you on with glee! I finished the event early this morning but I won't be doing the top 1000. I wasn't sure at beginning of event how long it would take to grow the crops without ripping up my farm but was very happy to see that it was actually easy for me to complete without disturbing my farm. Good luck to those going for the Top 1000!!!

 

Had finished one room (blue mushroom)
other 2 room will wait for last harvest, only the forest mushroom(green one)
I stop grow them at round 1200, then I just wait for system replenish for get
the remain qty. however, if I got no patient in near future, I will just grow the
replenish 5 seed with 2x2.

take a look at top1000 the rank 1000 rise to 32M,
105 hr remain, will the min. entrance rise to 100M at end of event ????

Opened all the windows and now a very proud owner of another Cloud Row....that's me...done and dusted..Do not comprehend the next step of the Event, but really not interested in going "belly up" for a few prizes...Cloud Row will have to be it...

That is Excellent Mud_pie_man at 11th Place I Hope you will stay roughly in that place until the End of This Event....I am still keep an eye of Top 1000 to see if i go for it or not still
