Finished easily yesterday evening, despite being away most of the weekend. No complaints on an easy event with nice prizes! But also, no Top 1000 for me.

Please tell me why I decided to go on a spending spree at the height of Harvest Hoedown! Never mind, I love buying stuff in big lots!

 

I locked the barn doors...
I made sure I timed to my best what to leave to make CC and grow mushrooms.....
Then I found out there be another way to burn the barn....

Market prices were just singing up to me in my barn loft and I had to answer.
Next thing I knew whole areas shut down, as I hit my bottom line, farm needs to operate bare bottom.
All the time I spent filling areas ~poof~ gone. The not even looking to see if I have enough safety feeling *poof*
And one would think it's ok, the CC grew and looks all purty....I don't think so.....
Prices on other items were so low I had to keep buying......Then had to open other areas in order to make-up what I spent....

The re-stocking will be a ..pain, but what a trip! I learned a lot.

And a huge thanks goes out, I made a blunder that should have burned me selling at the same quantity <1000 lot> in animals as I did in crops..I got scared
But someone's need made my need sleep mind mistake a good on me thing. Thank-you.

I am still working on a mushroom type but will finish, not so sure on small farm, but it's no biggie it's the main I care about.
If it's this mind bending to just sell and re-stock I never what to know what doing prep for a year to do the big harvest!

On my last round of blue shrooms for farm2 - farm1 had technical issues so behind and still planting blush and blue.
On farm1 the orange shrooms are the highest BEP plant so since I had extras did some calculating and figured out that if I mill the Grow Grain I will profit an extra 24ep&cc on the echange at the end.

For the amount of shrooms plus vermiculite on their own would net 101 ep & cc at the end.
1 grow grain nets 125 ep & cc at the end.
Not sure if anyone did this calculation - but for those of us that have extras shrooms - max out your ep & cc!

The only thing I have parted with is poo - my crop levels for majority of plants are barely over 1000 and animals are in the hundreds range - no selling for me - no sir ee - not even a lookey loo - so I dont get tempted. Although hearing all this talk I am so tempted - would be nice to make back all those CC's I spent on the darn dogs last event!

 

Just waiting for the seeds to reset since I need 4 more and then I'm done here too. I also got caught in the cc frenzy and sold most of my tree fruit for silly prices.

I know you're watching. That "lights out" deco item is mildly tempting to the broke farm. It doesn't care about ep much though. The price to pay for it is a little too steep and thank goodness. The mud_pie_man farm just leveled to 70 something to see maple sap and it's too young to know what ep is. By the time it could see maple sap the tree fruit prices were too inflated and the trees too expensive to recoup the cost. (The farm only donated about 10,300 sap.)

I'll watch for you. Lots of furry with that lower 500 bunch as usual and plenty of time left.

No thread was ever done on how to stay away from the shinny shine of the evil coin....<and we all know I get distracted by shinny things easy like>
I was just helping others in need I can't even keep a straight face on that one.....
Yep farmer_broke I be eating crow, but can say I never opened the big doors just the upper half of the walk-in door ...
I did not need to put out any fires... just well it's a little breezy in here with all the empty shelves.
I now see why big dogs warn about the harvest..... beware the fields one never knows what's in the fields......

frmrlife, all I can say is on one side jump it!!!! they be given the coin away hurry!!! the other side says keep your stock till you got good numbers <1st side jumps in, slaps the 2nd side regret is not a friend you will never forget the CC you let go by jump! jump! jump!!!!>

 

I finished the 1st and only part I will participate in yesterday. I've managed to make a nice chunk of CC's so far without overselling my stock and despite buying up bargains. So I'm pretty happy with the event all in all. We have severe weather forecast for my area tomorrow so I'm just about to drag out the comfort fields, workshops, long term stables and hope for the best.

Some are selling tree fruit. (Example: Mingling who hears the "sweet clink tingle tangle clang of free falling CC.") There is price competition between the tree fruit prices, parrot feathers, eggs, and roses. To see this clearly and sell (or buy for donation late):

1. Take the market price of parrot feathers and divide it by its EV (1824) and this will give a rate. Do the same for eggs (EV 300).
2. Take other common tree fruit and divide by its EV and this will give the rate(s). Compute as many as you like.
3. Rose is the only crop which should be included now (EV 113). Compute the rate if you wish to buy or sell.

With simple comparison of rates one will clearly see there is a rate which the market centers around at this time. Some do not wish to see this during the year but the rate exists! The mud_pie_man farm played the rates across the board as did the farmer_broke farm last year. While no one seemed to want the useless lemon this year with an EV of only 80, the mud_pie_man farm donated more than 250,000.

Want easy ccs now without burning your barn (as Mingling is loving so well with the clink tingle tangle clang )? One can play parrot feathers and eggs and tree fruit and roses just like playing lettuce. Simply buy the out-of-line offers and price them a little more competitively.

Thank you so much Farmer broke, your advice is spot on in my market! I have a spreadsheet for the market that calculates ev/cc ratios that I used to fill the black hole for my trophies and it is ever so useful now. All of the high ev tropical treefruit, especially parrot feathers and lemons that I bought months ago is really paying off. Best of luck to all those going for the top 1000, perhaps I'll try next year.

My Dark Horse Progress Up Date for Top 1000.... papas7077 has been Top 1000 Specialist for some time, been geared up for this for some time currently lies in 6th Place and doing very well. Mud_Pie_Man is a younger Horse but Trainer and owner has plenty of experience in this kind of Top 1000 is currently place in 11th Place ......Yagki2000 did Enter Top 1000 so did AnnTAngel but both are inexperienced in this kind of Event is seem the Going of Ground is not to their Liking but had to Pulled Up

Mooboy is currently at Back of the Top 1000 Race is currently not among the Leading Contenders......But is at the Back of The Pack What is Special about My Dark Horse that it is know when is the Time to Put it into Over Drive have plenty of Stamina knowing many Horses in Top 1000 Race will Burn out Their Barn a bit too Soon....

Fryico71 is also in The Race....Please Try and Hold on to At Least to be able to get a placing in Top 1000 as Lowest Donations is at 62 Million CC worth at the Moment with 75 Hours to Go I am Currently got My Island and Rain Forest Full of Morgina. Seagrape and Parrot Feather Trees as I always Eat an PAC before i harvest these Trees as I am Building up as Much Reserve as I can...

But Many Fruit Tree Prices and Products are already very pricey in the Markets, as I Try to snap up any good Exchange Values as i can keep at this until at least nearing End of this Event due to Fact Many might have Donated Prematurely into Top 1000 without a Doubt there will be a splurge of Millions of CC Barn Stock Values that will Knock out Farmers out of Top 1000 it is Huge Risky Under Taking....could End up in Vain, Wasted Effort, Barn Stocks as I have seen quiet few Farmers have been almost Broke for Real not to get confused with Broke aka as Many Farms.....Currently Mud_Pie_Farm is in 12th Place

My Fingers are Crossed, Wishing All English Forum Farmers to hang in There, Yes I have known the Rewards is not as Great as Last Years Top 1000 but Fame into Top 1000 seem to be the Best Reward lol
