[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] I messed up. Because I wanted to see the new event scene/whatever it's called, I went and gave my drops before using them with the crop to make a better fuel. I've wasted too many drops [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Glad it's just day one but still, I've got a crazy busy few days coming up with doctor appointments and will be away most of the day(s). :sleepy:

Just logged in and harvested 2 fields of rye - everything else was a mix of trees, workshops and stables. I got 163 Turboline, so I don't think think I will need to grow any Camelina. I am sooo glad :) Now I will go racing somebody xD

    Good luck to all!

My 1 watt bulb of a brain is really having problems! :p

I completed my first harvest and had 111 turbolines after harvesting everything, so I thought I would try step 1 to see how it worked with 4 turbolines. I clicked on, "fill er up", and watched them go and go and go and go ...-.- At first I figured they were slow tractors. (I grew up on a farm and the ordinary farm tractor in the USA goes around 25 mph top speed.). Then I figured it must be a really long race! Then I started wondering if the race took longer to run than the event crop took to grow? >:( Finally I clicked on, "Fill er up", again and shazaam! I finished step 1. :(
Now I know that just because the tractors are moving doesn't mean you are actually racing. Even if they are in motion you still have to, "Fill er up!", before you actually start your race. :(
I really hope I wasn't the only one dumb enough to do this. :wuerg:8)

LOL @Doc425... maybe it's time to upgrade your 1 watt bulb to an LED light bulb? J/K! xD
I admit, I did the same test you did this AM... I'm sure we aren't the only ones tho. Now let's see who else admits to it, lol.
Good luck with your racing, may the drops fall heavy on your farm :D

@Nellie Did you try editing your signature and deleting/backspacing the graphic out of the editing box? (Hover over your username up in the upper right corner of this/any page, and it will drop down a menu where you can click on Signature). If not, try that... and don't forget to save your changes. Good luck!

Well... I'm getting a much needed break from sifting thru the ashes today, rain delay. Much needed rain for this drought stricken region for the next two days. Best part... the rains we've been getting are light rains, no flooding. Going to spend the time tending my much neglected farms and... tending to the other fire damage "stuff" that I've been too tired to tend to... and resting. Physical, mental and emotional exhaustion takes a terrible toll on ones health. Something I can ill afford.

I would not bother with CFs during the event unless... I used my longest crops AND SG, water and manure and and CRs that might effect the crop.

I got a late start, as usual, due to my time zone. My initial harvest:

    Farm 1, 5 Howies, Level 95: 162 event drops
Farm 2, No Howies, Level 95: 164 event drops
Farm 3, No Howies, Level 94: 166 event drops

These numbers are consistent with previous events. While my farms are not identical they are VERY, VERY similar. Meaning drops should be close, but not the same due to "randomness" of drop rate. Once again I say Howies have NO effect on event drops. They do seem to be quite helpful with all other drops, however. Difficult for me to be sure since my main, public, farm is more likely to get toolboxes from random players, which the other two farms do not receive.

Since it is possible to finish the event using event drops only I decided not to change the configuration. I have two fields for, long-term, crops. One field with pens. Two fields with trees. The trees are mostly only harvested once a day, so... my second harvest will be lower than my first. But, if the drop rate is consistent thru the event... I should be well over the daily average needed to complete the event. It just means waiting until the last day to finish. OK by me. I'm THRILLED I only have to harvest twice a day. Or three if RL permits, depending on which crop I want to use.

My fall back position will be "instant" roses. I'm not at all interested in the tedium or time sink of growing event crops if I don't need them to complete the event. Anyone not familiar with them can search for info. Or someone with time on their hands can find a previous post and post the link. I believe it's in Arrouquelas' thread re: refinements.

Anyone with questions on how to improve drop rate:

Good luck, y'all! I'll try to find time at the end to post my drop totals.

So Racing Event has Started....This Event has given us more Alternative options or methods to complete this event, which makes a change from Events in the Past.

(Happy to Focus getting on 1224 Turbolines Only)

    • No Need to Grow any Camelina Event Crops at all, nor the need to grow or use stock of Sunflowers crops
    • Simply need to Reap a Total of 1224 Turboline Event Drops to Meet 306 Race Steps to Complete all 5 Races
    • Maximise Drops of Turboline at Beginning of This Event...Continue to use Effective Method to get as many Turbolines at you can
    • Get your Neighbours and Buddies to send you Turboline as Gifts
    • Use Tiki Timer,Water,Manure, Crop Refinements in Shorter Growing time to Boost Reaping of Turboline in lessor Growing Time
    • Just Grow Crops that gives Good EP or Crops you are short on instead of Camelina Crops
    • Grow Crops to Sell for CC, Which you cannot do with Event Crops !!
I am going to stick with this Strategy, as i did grow some event crops are reading postings and read through FAQ i had second thought that had better advantages to take Advantages of so Change of Game Plan as got 266 Turbolines only 8 Hours into this Event so made a good start :p

    Main:
Doing ok so far, 135 drops with tree/stables so I know what to sleep on :).
I am doing event crop too, always good to get out the gate with everything I can to for farm, likie the prem. fuel so far.
I am sure by now all know my gray matter sits in thick murkie stuff not all quick silver..... but I noticed that the plant has no ep valueo_O I, not being math compatible, sort of relied on it will be turned into CC/ep at the end, as I am always over sometimes way over.
So many changes, no more turtle peoples was bad enough, I hope no CC/ep for overage is not to be the norm

    mingling farm:
needs to grow up some before it can play, it's trying but we will see so far sad...
