Tractor Racing Strategy Thread

Just started race 5
I'm still doing a mixture of trees, pens and crops as I didn't want to change my farm.

Need 90 more turbolines to finish Race-4

 

Sorry if this question has been answered again but I can't find it.
I am in the first race and I only have 5 steps. If I use a premium fuel will the one extra step count to the next race?

 

Finished race #4, then tomorrow or the next day do race #5 at least for the cloud row. Don't need all those extra tractors or do I?? Does anyone know how many turb drops needed to complete Race #5?

You are doing well, still 50 hours to go. You only need to do 12 steps in Race 5 to get the cloud row, anything after that is a bonus.

 

according the Decree #1 post, extra step don't count for next race.
1 premium fuel used 20 turbolines drops which give you 6 step, if you used only turbolines ,5 step
also used 20 turb. Since you are only on race 1, there is still lot of races comming up. So,my adivce
is you save your premium fuel for next race & only used turbolines to finished.

just used turbolines to finished Race 5 need 256

 

Dbayes,,, there is 64 stages so i think its 260 Turb needed ... If using Biofuel

@igotfrogs, Thanks, I just might finish with plain ole drops but not going to Mill any drops/crops unless there's leftovers.

my strategy of swapping between the event plant and carnations seems to have worked for me i just finished up on race 5 with two bio-fuel and 3 turboline left over

Thought this event was going to be FUN ...in fact it has turned out to be a nightmare to me LOL
Only ONE good thing i can say about it IS ...
The graphics are BRILLIANT and i thank the designer for at least making it great to look at ....while i am saying NORTY words at the screen or in my case the SCREAM on every step of it
Have just noticed 4 of the cars we get twice it seems

 

About half way through race 4 now, I've been growing whatever long term crops I need to stock up on, so this is great for me. I've grown no event crops . I will definitely manage to get the cloud row at this rate and anything else is a bonus that can go on my shipwreck bay.

 

Well I bottled out on my experiment - got a bit nervous that I would miss by a few drops so have converted one field on each farm for crops, the longest possible with my time limitations (working weekend in other words). I am sure I am just about on track, with the right number of drops up to this point in the event but I would hate to be so near yet so far. Started Race 4 on both farms so, as said, not ready to rush over to the SOS thread ... yet!

 

Completed races 1-4. Just started on race 5.

 

I was traveling just before the event so had 3 days of tree harvests saved when it started. I did well the first few days with 3 fields of trees and 3 of long time crops, but it slowed after a bit and have just this morning completed the 4th race. I will get the cloud row, but not sure that I will finish the event, I only got 110 turbolines this morning which I used to finish race 4. I have 15 for use on race 5 and 45 hours to go, so will need to finish tomorrow evening. Internet today is very slow here, rural america, so am hoping for good drops. It took an hour to harvest this morning as I kept getting a spinning flower. Will be traveling home on Tuesday to better weather and internet.

 

Have that problem with the spinning flower sometimes sunshineaz ...i live in a small hamlet surrounded by fields in the UK

 

I finished this using premium fuel, and it worked out well for me. I am glad we had multiple options with fuel and we could each choose the path more optimum for ourselves.
