Tractor Racing Strategy Thread

Got the CR on Turbolines only.

 

Haven't used any super fuel. Kept farm as it was, used 2 fields for long crops (partially refined) in 2x2s. Now about a third the way through no 5, think I may just finish. I'm trying to find the easiest way to do events as RL is full on.

 

Same here...also haven't used any super fuel, half way through Race #5, got the CR and two spare tractors! Lost out on a few drops from baby boom but that's ok, thinking I'll make it to the finsh line! Feel sorry for my racers stuck on hold in the middle of the track just spinning there tires and movin' no where..LOL!

 

Been busy and out of town today so running a bit behind. Finished race 4 and race 5 now underway - looking good to finish despite the holiday interruptions!

I first Mill the Premium fuel for Race 1, when see drops seem quite good.
I further mill 10 premium fuel as reserve, But 2 days later, got a bit nervous
So, when I got to last race. I grow some more event crop as to use up
remain event crops for making fuel. Now Finished with 114 drops remain.

A helpful hint to my fellow farmers... If you haven't Maxed out your Crop and Animal Trophy's and gotten the Living Legend Rune that you make this your number one priority. Doing so has made my game play so much more enjoyable and worry-free.
I had trees on Baha's fields, a field of animals and two fields of long term crops. I grew some of the event crop and made two Bio-fuels and I did two rounds of breeding or I would have finished sooner.

 

Finished Race-4 just now and started Race-5, got up to the cloud row gift Did everything on turbolines no milling

 

So I'm heading towards gift four in Race #5 and the Fox tractor is ahead of my Turtle tractor...getting nervous!!!

 

I would like to back up Banjoman on this, as the benefits are big. Drops on all fields are improved, without moving trophies at all ! . . . . After a 'while' you will be astounded at how many tools and artisan village drops that you will accumulate....

 

A bit disappointed with drop results from Roses (both farms got 13 on one field, this farm has just three Cooking Forges on the field but they weren't "cooked") so Chevrefeuille has gone back to animals. I am pretty confident, , that I will get the Cloud Row. Day off tomorrow so can jiggle a bit as I see fit. May even try the "instant Roses" that I have never actually succeeded in growing (due to silly mistakes on my behalf!). If I get to the end on either I will be happy but won't be too upset if I don't.

Edit: Did I just say I didn't mind if I didn't finish an event?

 

Hoping it's not to late to lend some helpful tips. Yes LL Rune, Howie donuts, Ep buffs, flying pets are a big plus....also If you have Pink pens and Jumbo SS, SG and TMulch trees put them out, they are so high in EP that you get one drop per tree (just like the Magic trees) also 16 hr crops with water help too...just sayin' Good luck all!

 

Finished races 1 to 4, right now & started race 5. Going to grow refinement roses in comfort fields with fruit cake & white innocence to get the drops. No more event crops growing. Hope to finish the event as soon as possible. All the best to everyone still doing the event & congrats to those who finished.

I, yesterday, made up my mind to do the same, Illy. But somehow or the other now reached 5th race. Therefore changed my mind once again to do the entire event There is still lots of time, you can do it.
Doing just the drops without the event crops is a bit tedious. So I did 2 or 3 rounds of event crops, milled premium & now have switched back to just drops.

 

@12ss12, So you must be using Super Grow with those two buffs and Cac?

 

I've finished the quest using Turbolines only. I just farmed as normal, pens, trees and crops.

The formula is

Roses refinements(water love + Early Bloomer + Duo Fertilizer Love + SG Love) + White Innocence + Fruit Cake + Super Grow + Water + Comfort Field + Manure + flower collection cloud row

I have highlighted in bold, what I am using right now. Others I do not have, So have not activated them. You can use CAC, if you want to increase your crops. The time for roses to bloom will be 36 mins. If you use manure it will be 32 mins. The cloud row reduces the growing time much more, I do not know how much as I do not have it.

Using Comfort field saves your supergrows. If its normal fields, with my above combination, you will harvest the roses within 8 min to 10 mins, I suppose.

There is a 3rd level recipe in Alchemist which speeds up your production of flowers by 4 %. I have not reached that level, so I have not tried it out.

If you have refinements of carnation you can try it out on them too. But time taken would be much more. Roses are sort of instant bloom. So roses is best, as per my observation.

I started the event on the second/third day. So I had to use all sort of strategies to finish it including growing event crops

Update

Still have 9 steps to finish in the 5th row = 36 drops. Waiting for my Bahama harvest. Done with roses.

Now, this was really a true race. Started late but picked up speed Its always the tortoise who wins.

 

I just finished the race My trophies are at 27% and in the LL. Level 15 of the crop trophy is 2/3 of the way in last level and level 14 is just started. Some say to finish the animal trophy, others say the last step is not really worth it. Now to know what animals to use finish the trophies Congrats to those finished and good luck to the rest, 26 hrs left I'm curious to see how many drops I will have left at end of event

 

Just finished race 4 on both farms and starting on race 5. It's going to be a tight photo finish. I have used some reserved SG on looooong crops to see if that will be enough of a boost. Trophies here on pnp are full and LL. BW has LL too trophies are 29%. That last animal level is a doozy.

What has been said about the LL runes is very good, and I add my voice to those who encourage farmers to push for completing the runes. I am still working on the last two levels of animals; and the drop increases I've already received have made completing events much easier.
