GOLDEN BANANAS !!

Golden Bananas are falling from the skies !
I now have so many, I'll bake them in pies !
OOps ! too late ! Disappeared before my eyes...
And I thought I'd won a great prize

when ploughing with a tractor, things can turn up
Usually an old fencepost, buried rubbish and stuff
But our tractor Event blessed us with Gold !
However but briefly, before BP got hold

they Whisked them away in the blink of an eye !
So fast did they fix this, I didn't say 'Bye!"
One thing I've learned, not like the past
Errors right now, can be fixed REALLY Fast !!

My poems will never be as good as davidblyth007's, but here goes:

For a newbie it might cause consternation
To be in a "negative GB" situation
But if you're confused and ask why,
They'll accuse and imply
That it was intentional exploitation!

*sigh* That would be me. With little time this past week I've not been on the forum so never saw the announcement. Didn't notice anything strange till I checked in and was showing a minus 17 GB's. I feel bad that I used something that I hadn't earned yet to be honest but it was completely unintentional.

 

Don't feel bad Clash. I have no idea what my GB total was on each farm so I have no idea what was credited in error or if when it was corrected, how many were taken back. I opened Sea grapes on BillyWhiskers because I had enough GB but I didn't know which were mine and which were BP's. I also didn't see the OA due to RL family/holiday. I don't have a negative balance but it would have been easy to do. The nice thing is that you get to keep whatever you opened and go ahead and get its benefit.

 

The one and only sollution for BP to alert players of things like this is IN GAME, and not only an forum OA. But it seems sooooo darn hard to make a news page, one needs to type it. As they throw it in your face every time you log in it should be noted there and all would have known.

So let's steal some of your ideas here... lol

Count me in the negative column

I've been needing to unlock Camels & Coffee (Lemongrass too!) to open the last part of Shipwreck Bay. I had been accumulating GB's for awhile trying to decide which to unlock first. I had just leveled up & completed race 4 with the 5 GB's awarded, when I logged on next I noticed I had 86 GB's. So I unlocked Camels & Coffee THEN I checked the forum & found out about the extra GB's! Couldn't determine how many extra GB's had been awarded/used resisted temptation to open Lemongrass . Opened up last of Shipwreck Bay & waited to see if/how much GB's I overused Negative 15 GB's, but very close to leveling up, so now at negative 10 GB's BUT Shipwreck Bay is completely open, lots of room for those new giver items SO not too bad. I should be back to 0 in a week
EDIT: Leveled up so now at negative 5 GB's Should be back to even in a couple of days

 

Very good point, MSB! Especially because this new (awful) news page doesn't have a link to the forum, so all the people who play through Big Fish Games are no longer seeing announcements. Sure, they still technically have access to the forum if they type the forum address in a different tab, but they can't post in it b/c they can't sign in, so they no longer bother reading it. I would guess that there is a huge percentage of players who never see the Official Announcements for one reason or another, and they're all wondering what happened to their golden bananas...

We understand your frustration, but sadly there is not much we can do in this situation. Neither we nor the Team intended to imply in any way that this was an exploit, so we are sorry if it sounded this way. We have been instructed to refer the community to our terms and conditions if the complaints go too far, since the amount of mistakenly booked GBs was pretty high, so it should have been noticed easily and fast (which has actually happened), but many of you with extra GBs don't know and don't notice if you get extras or you miss some.

As an attempt to point out a positive aspect of it - those of you with negative amounts of GBs now have access to crops / animals / trees earlier than you should have, so it is not that bad after all, as puppiesnponies pointed out as well - of course, it won't be fun leveling up and not being able to unlock more statues until you get back to gathering a positive amount, and that's understandable.

Hopefully the in game news is something doable in the future, since it would be easier for everyone to be informed - but as you are all aware of, we 'operate' on Forum OAs when it comes to keeping you informed . We do appreciate your suggestions and understand your frustration.

Although it is really bad feeling to get negative GB on account.
Yes, I agree that BP should try to notice player in all mean , ingame popup new is a good way.
everyone would aware of this. I like pnp, no more care how many GB I got when the coral reef
got no sight !
However, I agree teddy.bear(our busy mod. come out from the rest cave) point of view,
On postive sight, Some farmer open their desire temple chamber earlier! Yes, you now carry a
debt....Bur it's a interest free loan, Since It's BP's bug, So, they only deduct the GB, & don't dare to
change back everything, You could keep what you got from spending those "loan" GB.

I understand some farmers don't like to be in-debt. But, you know, life come in all way. some may
even not your fault. Try to let ownself feel good. I got something earlier than I expect. I just purchase
something with instalment. I will repay them each time I level up in Baha.

 

It is a Pain to those who been Allocated too many GB's Recently....that Big Point Ran a Script to Correct the Error but some of you have spend more GB that you as actually Entitled too. Sorry to Hear to those that got Affected by this....

For Me i did not get Affected by this ....Phew.......so Far I have 356 Golden Bananas.....The Last Statue I unlocked was Moringa Fruit Tree....I do have couple Statues to unlock for at the moment they are not worth unlocking therefore i am saving them for new Statues that might come our way

 

I'm a new player {and the one referred to in one of the above poems } and I want to compliment the poetry and thank the authors for a good laugh despite the lingering bitterness I've been feeling about those negative bananas.

I didn't know how I got them nor did I know about the Official Announcements page concerning events. OK ... now I do so will be wary of future events.

Anyway, thanks for providing a light hearted moment!
