Sorry for my absence. I ran into car trouble this holiday weekend. Despite this downer I was able to finish with time to spare. I thought it would be closer because I decided to breed on one of my fields during the BBD.

This is how it went for me.

Tree's on both Baha islands. I would get 35 Turboline from each, every day.
I rotated between Iris, Roses, Mushrooms, and Crop Squares on my 3 mainland farms. During the BBD I used one field to breed while continuing to grow Crop Squares in order to keep up with daily Turboline requirements.

I'm quite happy with this event as it allowed me to build up my barn some while still completing the event. Being newish to the game still, this was a very good opportunity to stock up rather than give out or waste time on event crops I cannot sell or use in crafts.

 

I completed the Cloud row! I -again- thought I needed to complete all the event to activate the cloud row. This is very beneficial for us to give us twice the items. So I reached race 5 and got the 3th gift.
I am very satisfied to have reached so far.

Would have enjoyed this Event .....IF the Drops had been better ....instead I was glad to get it over and done with
Didn't see the fun aspect that i thought it would be ... that's what games are meant to be aren't they FUN ?

 

Well done to all those who finished the event. It was harder than I first thought but I knew I would be hard pushed to finish on either farm with my work schedule this past week. Happy to have finished on Chevrefeuille (albeit having to buy the last 7 Turboline) as I have lots of space in the Park and Shipwreck Harbour for those shiny motors.

This farm missed by a paltry 50 or so Turbolines but as I have absolutely no space available (lots of stuff in storage that I would love to put out but nowhere to put it!), those duplicate cars that I won will be sitting in the inventory until I find time to sort out the Park and Shipwreck Harbour to put out the most efficient items (don't think this it will happen in this decade lol!). This is my way of saying it's no big deal - it would have been nice to finish on both farms but not essential!

Next time I think I will experiment with animals versus crops ...

My strategy choices for this event were unnecessarily complicated, and with hindsight I am regretting that I switched tactics. My main farm started full of trees, stalls and workshops - delivering only 99 turbolines for the big first harvest. I overreacted and I pulled way too much out, most of my trees (which gave less than 10%) and favorite stalls and workshops for roses and carnations on 1x1s - which performed very well. On the islands I hate to admit I grew junks for a few rounds after the first switch to ginger had such a bad first result (also less than 10%). Two days in, it was clear I would be fine and switched back to lemongrass and ginger and pandas and workshops. I ended the event with a huge surplus of turboline, over 200 - so growing the junk for a few premium fuels was unnecessary for this farm.

The new farm seemed a little doomed at the start - first harvest was only 49 turbolines, so I cleared out nearly everything for roses and junk, since camelina was the longest crop available on the islands anyway. Premium fuel seemed essential to getting to the cloud row to save 15% on drops, but I am now wondering if growing aloe vera would have been a better choice as the drops on the aloe (which I only used on the last day of the event after getting the cloud row) delivered twice as many turbolines as the junk. Next time if there is an option to not grow junk, I will definitely take it!

 

Finished the event by the skin of my teeth i.e. this am just before going to work! Congratulations to everyone who completed the event or reached their goals.

 

I fell 40 turboline short of completing, which was better than I thought I would do. Pretty happy to have the extra givers as I have plenty of space for them. I did have to stay up until the wee hours of the morning to get there though. Bring on the extra strength coffee it's going to be a long day.

 

I finished at 6:30am today with LOTS of help from friendly farmers and neighbors! I too was having lots of trouble getting turboline drops, but just managed to squeak by with getting the cloud row and finishing the 4 races! Congrats to all that ran their own race! lol

 

I was able to finish on austg but austg1 made it to the cloud row and two extra cars.
I was about 120 short on the turbolines. I was not able to participate for one and a half days so confident I would have made it if I had been able to participate in full!

Sorry, I was traveling and can just now post.

I finished the event with about 30 extra turbolines. I had made the premium fuel for every step of the races and used 1 bio fuel and a couple reg turbolines.

I am also a little disappointed in the drops for this event. I had several days of trees on all my fields to harvest before the event started and then tore up one field to plant the event crop and just waited to see how drops would be from all the trees (2 island and 2 main with 1 main in crops). It was very poor at 130 on the trees and with the 1 field crops and 4 of trees I only managed about 180 a day, so I tore out 2 more fields and started more crops. I still wasn't getting enough so went with 2 harvests of event plant and 1 of carnations each day on the 3 fields with crops. I was not getting enough so the last 2 days, I tore out the remaining trees and planted all event crop during the day and carnations at night. Even with 5 fields, my statues maxed and the LL, and milling the premium fuel, I barely managed to squeak through the entire event. I would have tried the roses thing, but was doing family stuff, on vacation and just didn't have the time to sit at the computer so it was 3 crop cycles a day.

 

This was my fave event ever. Too easy!!! I put very little time and effort into this event. Loved it. No annoying event crops to fuss with!

My final totals after finishing the event:
Farm One: 223 - "maybe" 6*2 magic tree harvest = 211 drops left over
Farm Two: 232 - "maybe" 6*8 magic tree harvests = 184 drops
Farm Three: 225 - "maybe" 6*6 magic tree harvests = 189 drops
Sorry because of RL I've completely forgotten about gifts and haven't been keeping track at all. Farm One finished with more drops but I would expect 5 Howie donuts v ZERO Howie's to make for a dramatically different total count. Likewise with the EP boosters.

Farm One, (two magic trees, 5 Howie donuts, 5 pets totaling 45% harvested once or twice a day)
Farm Two, (8 magic trees, ZERO Howies, 3 pets totaling 15% harvest once or twice a day)
