Mittens drop only from main farm fields and not any Baha fields so no help there. Needing 131 drops daily from only 3 main farm fields will challenge many players. Time to put in place your drop strategy before event starts. For me, it will be long crops on 2 fields (pnp is low due to FHO and BW is working on No rest on the farm) and my glade is in trees. I hate the idea of ripping out trees but as I have plans Friday and Saturday (26th anniversary:inlove:), I need to get through those crops as fast as I can during the day.

Thanks Mooboy for listing the requirements:)

    Good luck!

As Pups has Pointed out that we wont be able to get Mittens as Drop Items in Bahamarama Nor Rainforest. There is no need to Strip out your Bahamarama or Rainforest to Get a Good Drop of Mittens. Therefore it Helps to Focus to Plan your Main Field, Green Meadow and The Glade to get as many Mittens as you can Therefore it will be a tougher challenge as Pups as Said

But is always helps to Pre Plan your Farm before Event starts to get a good start on Event Drops Items i hardly ever ill prepared my farm for any upcoming event which had always helps me complete events much earlier !!!

    Happy 26th Anniversary Pups ;)

What pnp, meant is Mittens drop only from main lands: main farm, green meadow, magical glade. And not from Bahamarama including Rain forest. A little more explanation and caution from my part.:p
The items drop from trees, crops, stables, workshops. Thanks Mooby & pnp.

    Happy Aniversary !, pnp

I already have the 2 older items so If I have no time I won't try to get them again.

So should we try to grow as many ice flowers as possible during the day, then put 6hr crops in overnight until we can get the ice flower requirement out of the way? Happy not to have to tear up Baha this time. :)

    P.S. Happy Anniversary, pnp! :)

Using the 3 fields allowed I roughly figure using 8.5 Harvests of the Event crop to achieve the amount required if using Mooboy's Event Seed Nuking strategy and using CAC's

SOS thread now created so feel free to link it in Mooboy.

Thanks for doing the maths. I will just grow on two fields and leave the Glade as is (don't like to touch that one, got all my rarer and favourite goodies there). :p

Bit miffed we can't use the island fields nor get drops there either - I have all trees on this farm and mostly animals and a few trees on Chevrefeuille. I would have preferred to rip them up and leave the main field and meadow out this time round (or use all four) but c'est la vie! I think four days should do for the event crops then will see how many drops I need: lots of drops needed, plant long term crops, not too many needed, put out trees and animals. :)

Not a bad event on first view but back to growing lots of crops. Still variety and all that ... :D

    Good luck everybody! ;)

Thank you Mooboy for the strategy ;)
Have put in carnations to harvest when the event starts and hopefully get some drops from these to help start me off ....Fingers crossed
Am not going to say it looks good ...that might just be the kiss of death to me again xD
Have got the tree and the globe ...but getting the stars and power feed etc would be helpful

It finally registered with me (fever addled brain makes fuzzy thinking) that one of our prizes is not just the deco Christmas tree but the actual Christmas tree 2011:inlove: Woo Hoo! Best tree there is!:)

Given the limited areas from which event's drops are to be gotten and the fact there's no groundbreaking prize listed, I bet drops won't be a real problem.

By the way, this event cries for a CR: the 2 new items are very good, especially Iceangelo, but the 2 older items are unbelievable junk at this stage of this game's evolution. Just to get an idea of how much junk they are, Iceangelo will yield 15+ times more EPs/B-EPs from the same 1x1 than the Christmas giver would EPs, in the same time. If, at least, one of these older two givers were a 1x2..., it'd have a sense. But, no. I'm tempted to skip the Diamond task of level 5 for this reason, but I know I won't, because of the 35 PFs. So, their fate is certain: dust collecting in barn.

The only prize that really makes a difference, at least for newer players, is the Christmas tree (the tree). All those I have were gotten, I think, no earlier than 2 years ago, from mystery seedlings.

But, if you have enough Christmas trees, this is an event to safely skip if someone is busy and doesn't need the stars. 15K seeds of a 4 hs-event crop that can be planted only on Farm's (not Baha's) non-barren fields is too much of an effort for this little.

Needless to say, I won't skip it, because I'll be around. I won't touch a single tree from those lands, though (they cover 50% of them): so, event crop during the day, if I'm around, and longer crops I need -any crop- overnight. That's my plan.

Happy 26th anniversary Pnp - and hope you are feeling better by then!:)

Since the island is out, it will be refined carnations/roses overnight and event crops during the day - with CAC and Flower CR. I like the PF prize and the new givers, so I will go for completion. Just a lot of event plant to grow.:p

I actually like not having to rip up the island this time; allows me to complete a few goals I'm working on.:)

:inlove: Thanks Mooboy and others for the nice strategy info! Good luck everyone!

+I always appreciate all the work done to add this all together, but I did notice you said 50 horses when I saw 70. I always look for animals first to see if I have them or not ( I did not, and I had t buy them)

Saphira, I don't know where you saw the extra 20 horses. It is only 50 total and that is only if you want to complete the last two parts of step 6.

Saphira, Level 6, task 2 is 20 horses, task 3 is 30 horses, 50 eggs are listed following the 30 horses so maybe you saw the 50 and thought it was horses and not eggs. I :inlove::inlove::inlove: the waterglobe:music::music: I was just thinking this morning that i need to get my christmas waterglobes out since it's that time of year. I have collected many over the years:p:p
