On My Earlier Posting I did Say we need to get an Average Drop Rate of 131 Mittens Darling. As on last few Harvest of Three Full Fields of Ice Flowers as i am getting an Average of 18 to 21 Mittens per Harvest. This is Every 3 Hours or So we can Reap at least 7 Times Per Day at the Most.

What if farmers are getting Less than 18 Mittens per 3 Fields of Ice Flowers per Harvest Then going to need to Grow Overnight Crops to boost drops of Mittens. But just going to take longer to Acquire 15,000 Ice Flowers.

The other Alternatives is to Used Refinement Crops to Boost Mitten Drop Rate, or Happy to use Supergrow to Nuke Crops that has Super grow Love Refinement that can reap up to 44 Mittens Instantly combined with Super grow Cloud Row But MM Event will be starting from Today for next 48 Hours to can be combined Effort. But cannot get Mittens From Moonlight Playing Field we still need to keep at eye on drop rates of mittens I am 232 Mittens so Far ;)

I've adjusted my normal growing event strategy. Typically speaking I would use whatever crops and drops which weren't needed to continue growing as soon as I obtained them. I would also typically slow grow these crops without ever using any Super Grow, or Suzy's Super Grow. In trying to speed this event up I've used both SG and SSG, but forgot to use any beneficial buffs such as Fruit Cake or White Innocence. I'll have to learn from that mistake. Additionally I've decided to strictly save both event crops and mittens until I have reached the amount needed to complete the entire quest. I feel this is important so that I can stop planting "junks" as soon as I've met the requirements and get back to planting for profit. As for an update I'm at 216 Mittens with just over 13 hours of playable event time. I'll be doing one more harvest of event crops before calling it a night and expect to have an additional 20 or so Mittens putting me at just under 1/3rd of the way there. *Edit* I think it's also important for everyone to know that my Living Legend Trophy is at 29% and that I have no other bonuses to drop rates. If your drop rates are very low, consider working towards unlocking the Living Legend rune in the Tree of Wisdom and the two trophy quests: Farming Contest and Country Fair.

My real frustration with this event comes from the farmer_broke school of playing. These event crops, or "junks", literally stop nearly all progress towards other goals. However I find these events essential to the farming system due to being able to obtain additional Power Feed and being new the Stars still help unlock parts of the Tree of Wisdom.

Hope everyone is on track to get this event out of the way. Best of luck!

If these low drops are going to be part of these events from now on ...it is not worth my time doing them
And therefore not worth playing the game to me
No not sour grapes ...but am not spending my time and effort and getting NO where and sitting up until one or two in the morning to reach a target... that's unreachable with these Pathetic amount of drops
That's NOT fun to me;) i don't want it easy ..but the amount being given is ridiculously low...My pull up at the bottom of the screen tells me i have had 42 mittens ..two of those were gifts and 3 from magic trees
Carnations overnight with a timing of 18:45 and stables and trees :( now that's a joke...SO what am i doing wrong
    MOAN OVERxD

I am sorry to hear that there are so many players struggling already and we have just passed the 1st 24 hours. I don't know exactly what is going on on your farms but there is still time to recover your strategy. If you decide the event is worth the attempt, I would encourage you to post any questions you may have so we can collectively help you. If you decide the event is not worth the attempt, go back to doing what makes you happy. This time of year is so full of busy lives that maybe just enjoy your farm and destress from the rest of the world for a little while. :)

This event does not require you to stay up all night. Since it is structured like a FSQ, you can pick and choose the levels you like best. Good luck!

26 hours in and I have 10,274 of the event crop and 279 mittens. So once I get these crops out of the way I can focus on longer crops for the mittens:p:music::):) Nellie, watering the carnations will take it down to 15:07-helps a little bit;) Good luck to all:D

Thank you Julie and WELL DONE thats great to hear ;)... and thank you for telling me about the water

PNP.. I Didn't know that you could pick and choose on an FSQ what Task you wanted to do... thats new to me

Have always thought that you couldn't move onto the next tasks until you have a green deliver button on that task ( starting at task 1... then 2 and so on until you reached Task 6)......If i am wrong... can someone tell me how this is done please

Thank you sweet_Cassiopeia and Mooboy ...have taken it on board and maybe a move round might help and a change of crop
am @ 29 % of LL trophies so that will be my project for the rest of the year
Have got Carnations in the refinery ... think i will try putting roses in ...they are less time ...with carnations am finding i am waiting to harvest... to put the event crop in ... and wasting time

Yes it does PNP and Thank you...sweet dreams and hope you feel better soon ;)

You are. Once you have completed the first part of a step, it unlocks the next step as well as the second part of the step you just fulfilled. Keep in mind, there is one FSQ which will not let you contribute until you are at the level of the highest item required.

I am with Pups to that sorry to hear many of you Struggling with Drops as i did notice about Drop Rate of Mittens is not good enough just growing Ice Flowers as Drops varies per harvest of Ice Flowers but Drops of Mittens can be Dismal if not moving Crop and Animal Trophies around of Understanding the importance of getting these Trophies upgraded but I must admit it is much harder and more costly for Newbies to upgrade both of these Trophies...This one of those that helps with Drops...!!!

The Other Thing that really Helps your Drops is work on Crop Refinements as it helps to have Refinements on Carnations, Roses or other high level crop as you may need to indulge into Manure to Speed things up or even using Super Grow....

You can Try Focus getting 15,000 Ice Flowers asap...Then work on Strategy to Get Best drop of Mittens either grow Roses or Carnations or any other High Level Crop....Try this....But if you are unable to reap your farm as often as you like you might need to do a rethink on your Farming Method or Strategy ok

Sorry Nellie, maybe I wasn't clear in my comment (still have a fever addled brain).

What I meant to say is that you do not have to do all silver, gold and diamond tasks. For example, on my baby farm, I don't have the necessary animals, I will skip those parts that ask for them. I will still gain stars, EP, CC, craft items, EP givers...I just won't finish the event there. Maybe if you are having trouble with the drops, open the silver levels first and then go back and work any of the levels that have prizes you really hope to get. That way you may increase your chance to gain the prize you really want.

    Does that make more sense?

    *wanders back to bed*

Just to add, my trophies are almost fully upgraded, I have a howie donut (just one), and began with fields full of high level pens, trees an just a few hazelnut.

From what I am reading, it seems as if crops might be giving the bigger drops. That is great for people able to keep harvesting, but not so much for those of us who cannot.

Mooboy, Pnp and others have given great advice. If you are struggling, please don't give up so early into the event - there is plenty of time to gain ground and achieve some goals!

Will add my stats and general game plan, at just over 24 hours into the event, in case it may be of assistance to someone.
I'm using 1 x 1 plots and refined carnations, with water and manure for overnight crops; doing event crop during the day. SSG and SG were used initially to build up seed for three fields, and not since. Have LL rune at 27%, a magic tree and a few drops from neighbors to assist.

Currently, at 280 mittens and 4345 ice flowers. Three fields in event plant at the moment, with a few 20 hour/ XXL trees and a couple of long stables. Have done two carnation harvests (initial crop giving 102 drops and 120 for the next) and three ice flowers harvests. And like many people, I've had RL issues get in the way of farming!:p

Even with delays, this puts me at about half way through the tasks - counting from task one on up - and I am certainly not a top level farmer. Just a year ago I was struggling to finish events and now I am able to handle them without biting my nails off! Keep a positive attitude and you will go far! Choose those tasks that will give you what you want most - then go back for others if you can.

Personally, I grow about half of the event crops, then do all of the silver stars to get each task open; this allows me to start working on the tasks I desire to finish most (in case RL prevents finishing).:wuerg:

While you must find what works best for you, the advice given in this thread will help you accomplish much; even if you don't finish you will gain experience for the next event (plus the prizes you were able to obtain). Sorry, didn't mean to be so long winded!
    Best of luck to everyone!:D

Nellie, if someone sends you a gift, they would also have needed to send you a message to add you as a friend in order to send that gift to you. Look in your inbox and reply to the message they sent you! Avoids all the typing errors. :)

Everyone plays to the tune they like best. Me, mostly to voices only I can hear :p
I play all over the place, I clawed my way threw refinements went broke way too many times playing the ponies at the market -.-then I mentioned glue factory and them ponies started to play nice;)
I have had the farm workin on a shoe string fore, went for broke and staved for that prize.
Keltic is fine now, we have some goodies and great buds! all that let us play running just behind the big dogs so we risk a little more on events, why take down something, stalls/animals/crops for quests........ let it ride as is and see where we land, it's a gamble but a loss is not that big if ya pick threw and get the goodies 1st on lame events. <use the math the gurus give and yeah can see if its something to change the way you play>
May not finish, knocks on wood big time here. but that for me is fun too.
ming is a sad little red headed farm, no nothing just movie watching. Poor little red headed ming got run over in the farm race and is now lame and running no longer a thing for it.
Poor little ming will not be finishing anything anytime soon so play the cards you got and grow chickens! I will build this farm with fowl and buttery loads of manure!!!xD
I never look to finish not this farm, I do the event with the thought down the road.....with all the stuff I get not finishing events now will be in demand in the future!
8)Play for fun, profits will come.8)

I have Eventually Got just over 15,000 Ice Flowers, Plus 374 Mittens so far so only need 411 Mittens to get with 104 Hours of this Event Remaining.

Now I can Focus using Refinement of Certain Crops which has much less growing time than Event Crops of Ice Flowers, so i am able to get more Mittens per harvest

I might do some Poo Farming since price of Manure is now over 200, wonder this will speed up Drops of Mittens lol I am wondering how many of you have been following my advise/tips shall i sell my manure for CC or Use them to Grow Spooky Crops Mmm I Think I flip a Coin ;):p
