Gorgeous pic Karen!!! So artistic! I wish I knew how to achieve that effect...but sorry do not. Katya looks like a movie star!

 

Karen - you can do that special color effect in Photoshop (possibly some other software, but this is the one I use). There are tutorials online that you can access to learn how to do it if you have the necessary software.

Another lovely picture, not as artistic but showing Hector "as he is"... on Santa's naughty list! - always taking most of the Magic Reindeer Moss.
Boris and Mischa have also had a busy day but no photo's (unless school shares in the future). Exhibition area was in middle of school - with loads of dangley artwork at antler height . They coped with that wonderfully and walking through halls, classrooms etc. but we might need to turn a blind eye to the fact that Boris took 5 minutes to pluck up the courage to walk through entrance foyer "airlock" - Mischa went through easily and had to taunt him though but girls can be more brave sometimes

 

But he is just a growing boy! Isn't that what the Magic Reindeer Moss is for?

 

Lucky children! Wish I was there! Glad Boris and Mischa did well; small hesitation notwithstanding!

They are herd animals BUT in Hectors case I almost think he would make a house pet (NOT advocating this at all) but he is a VERY human orientated reindeer (very unusual & despite being mother raised he acts like a bottle baby).. He sees people as part of HIS herd!!!

I know what you mean GuineaUp...I have been dying to snuggle with Hector since Karen posted the 1st pic's of him!!

 

Lotte's new ear tag arrived in the post today .. by law I have to put it in with 28 days of her last one being ripped out... but I can leave it a little longer... don't like punching their ears. I'm looking at it now but sure I can ignore it for a few more days!

 

When is the 28 day period over?

Too bad you can't tattoo the inside of their upper lip or the inside of an ear like we can with horses and livestock over here in the US!

 

Think I've got till the 18th December for Lotte's replacement ear tag to go in, so will wait until I have had some quality time with her first and a day after to reassure her that I still love her despite making her ear hurt...
But this does mean she can't leave her home paddocks without it... but prefer to do ear tagging gently... she doesn't need to go out visiting yet... Or does she, it may be good for her to go and chill with Hector and Katya and meet & greet in their lovely environment... Will decide on Monday I think...
In the meantime the "Big Guy" came to check up on Boris and Mischa at a very large Primary School we visited on Friday - only sharing the non children photos at the moment...

You are such a great mom to your herd Karen, and Little Miss Lotte will be just fine because of you! Great picture of Hector , I think I need some of that Magic Reindeer Moss to put on my Ice Flowers, maybe I would get more mittens! And Boris and Mischa look wonderful with Santa! I just love their bells and bows! A very Merry Christmas to you and everyone reading this post!

 

Today's outing was a "Fairytale Market" in Northampton's Market Square, with characters from Frozen (of course), the Mad Hatter - who was very entertaining for the children, Alice, Snow White, The Ice Queen, Cinderella & Tinkerbell who fell in love with the reindeer.. and many many more - the characters were just wandering around the market entertaining the children. Just a couple of pictures - and one has to be of the reindeer!
It was lovely to see a few of my FB Herd followers, & children and parents from schools we have visited over the last few years. Was very thankful that most introduced themselves as I often see faces and can't remember where from!!!
