Happily finished! :D A bit slowed down by the uneven drop count, but still done without a rush to finish! Interesting to note that some days I had over 30 drops and on other days 20 or less, using the same crops.
Congrats to all finished (glad you got the tree Banjo) and good luck to all still at work!:)

I see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Tomorrow, I will have all of the drops. It kind of feels like pulling teeth with the drops. Haven't had that in quiet some time. The good thing is, all the mittens will help as soon as we get some snow.;)

This thread is just what I need for boosting good moods and give smiles. xD

Ok so figured with what I have did step 1 of level 1, 2 and 4 and then all of 3, 5 and 6.
Only 8 mittens left over need 211 more and 867 ice flowers to complete in full.
Congrats everyone and good luck for all those still headed toward the finish line
THANK YOU to everyone for the gifts

Have got 1364 flowers to get
Have sown 2 fields with the flowers and waiting for a field of carnations to finish to sow flowers on that
And Praying I get these 1364

Only thing I have found you can be certain of getting a drop from in events are Magic Trees

Congrats alexis, bhodho, banjo and all the others!!! Yipee!:D

I'm waiting to harvest raspberry in less than an hour. Then I'll see what my chances are for completing the whole event.
Thank you so much for everyone who is helping me with the drops! Believe me, it has been of great help! :inlove:

:mad:The strategy today is to get to some serious junks growin in the junks garden and help the farwife on her way to take care of the market.

    (talking to the farmwife)
    Hi sweetie pie pie :inlove:

Would you mind pickin up ah few thangs during the day.

    Oh thank you :inlove::inlove:

Drop these 4,000 chicks and 2,000 long ears into the feed cruncher. Just take that junky old boat to Baha.
This is giveaway season there so just spend about 25 million on anything we might need in a hurry,
Just dump every last elephant. ...... large lots, over 3K coins each is fine Don't waste your time there.

In the market pick us up some of those felines.
I like the kitties without a tail. They're special. xD

    What!

NO. Leave those dag blam dogs alone.

The last thousand piggy wiggies can go. Dump um all at 2450 8)

I've already sent a few hundred thousand oats by "broke express" and they're waitin on um. 8)

    What!

Okay, take few reindeer ... but there is no need .... but if they want to believe it then sell um at 8,999 Small lots of 12

I'll be plantin these junks.

Now I see why you always walkinn in with mud between your toes! xD

NO! I'm not growin you a single one extra.:mad:

I luv you too farmwife. :inlove:

(That farmwife of mine has the hardest head I have ever seen in my life , and the biggest heart :inlove:

I like the way she keeps me broke.)

You received 25 .... 26 ....46 All fields the same crop. Time is explainable.

That brings me to specific field differences. I have gotten similar results with any crop. (But all fields the same crop.)

The difference is material and it happens too many times for me to ignore it and take the easy way out and call it randomness.

I have not been keeping track of the specific field results until now. Did you notice which field gave the 46?

    ----- edit -----

Just harvested less than 1/2 field of raspberry using 1x1 of course. The event drops were 19. There obviously is a field difference based on our results this once. It is clear.

Developers know it is possible for some to try and figure the drop algorithm. And together we could all figure which field provided that field was constant. (And then it becomes natural for them to alter it.)

There is going to come an event labeled "hard." With that type of event, the more one knows of that algorithm the wiser one plants and the less one will stress over drop items. If one refuses to do it then the alternative for event completion regardless of Howie donuts and trophy level will be ....... either not complete the event or purchase multiple event baskets or purchase super grow. (Depending upon ones RL schedule, refinements will become useful and cheap if the refinements are in the right places.)

"Junks" all finished, 43 drops required for this farm and 74 for Chevrefeuille and, without any logic, I am confident that these will come in the fullness of time ... well by tomorrow morning anyway. I have done no detailed experiments to work out the drop algorithm (I can't even spell it without guidance!). :D

I really am not looking forward to an event labelled "hard". But, whatever, I will watch what the experts do, try to follow them - making the usual goofs on the way - and give it my best shot! :p

Please do not send me drops - I have finished all but level 1 on this farm and level 2 on Chevrefeuille so no great loss if I don't finish (apart from my pride of course!). :inlove:

Well done all those who have finished already and good luck to those who are still slogging along. ;)

    I did, Broke.
Every field of mine have trees on the side as if there were pens on field. Hence, I have 176 1x1 plots on the two main fields. Magical glade have trees on the side plus three pens. The rest are 148 1x1 plots.

25 was the magical glade. 26 was the green field that it has 1 Howie (hence, the result is poorer compared). Then, I harvested the park. Finally the main field that yielded 46.

Although it seems a myth, I do get better results when harvesting the park before the fields. Don't know why!
And usually, my Howie doesn't seem to make any difference...

Also, my usual round of harvesting is: Park, MG, GM, Main F, Ship.B, Baha Main and Rain forest.

Hope it helps, Broke!! Do crack that pattern and help us, please!:p

P.S.: The reason I struggled so much this event was due to RL. I missed planting two overnight crops, including a head start prior to the event.

EDIT: Like illy, I too am confident that I'll finish before I go to bed (that is 12 hours from now). Please, do gift the mittens to someone else who is in need. And once again, Thank you so much to all that helped me!!:inlove: I feel I dodged a bullet with your help!;)

Hello Arrouquelas! Yes indeed your information helps.

I have trees in the outlaying areas too. My findings indicate no noticeable change in drop pattern due to ones harvesting pattern. (But I have wondered about harvesting the park variability and this is not forgotten just yet.) Even jumping around one specific field did not vary the results significantly to focus on. So I was able to rule harvest pattern out for the time being.

Now here is where our results indicate field:

Your main field gave you 46 which is materially higher than the other two.

With less than half my main field in raspberry I received 19! (Sorry I did not keep track of the exact number of plots.)

Our main fields gave us roughly the same drop rate which is materially higher than the other two fields. I'll try something else. I'm keeping in mind that programmers can easily alter the field preference to keep one from making a sound conclusion.

(Had no doubt you would finish the event. When Illy brought out the pom poms, you were definitely sure to finish.)

After all my stressing about slow drops... I finally have all I need for the event :D!!! Thanks to everyone that helped me out by sending me some mittens:inlove:
Now I just have to grow 3903 junks in 22 hours to finish the entire event... ugh -.-. Guess I'll have to rip up all trees and pens on my main field and get busy planting so that I can put this nerve wracking event behind me (and grow some of my hair back!!!). :sleepy:

Congrats to those who've already finished, and good luck to those still tackling the beast!:wuerg:
