    Hi...
I searched for answer, but maybe I'm to blond to find it. Sorry if I'm repeating thread... :)

My problem is that I have too many animals... I'm lvl 82, but I play this game for years (I recently come back after 1 year break) so I have almost every animal den, and almost every production den... here it is how my Magical Glade looks (I put animals there cause of free water)...

I have a frog pen, cookware factory, goose stable, coockoo den and chameleon den in main land...

Any suggestion what to do? I feel like I won't have any room for crops soon... :( :p
    Thanks in advance...

I don't know how much CCs you have. But I suggest you buy 128 pens of each type. That way you can raise the animals in one go, and thereafter focus on your crops.
From your current set up the maturity times of the pens are not matched and it becomes difficult to take advantage of other game features. You will have some pens idle for some time because of that mismatch...

Wriskica I believe you should gradually build up your stock in animals and crops. You should have fields for crops and animals. Maybe you should chose which animals you want to grow first and when you have enough of them proceed to the next group. Which animals are more important and how many you should grow depends on your farm's needs and I suggest you will depend on which animals are more needed in events, farm quests especially breeding quests if you do this kind of quests.

That is a great idea for regular pens that don't have to be built or can't be purchased:)
Suggestions for rare pens and workshops?

Welcome back Wriskica! ;) I for one, buy as many animals and crops as I can or afford. :music:Keep an eye on the market...so you will be able to recognize the good deals. Otherwise, you are correct.....there are just too many animals to produce yourself, given the limited space we have.
Good luck and I hope you enjoy all the changes & additions to the game.:)

So glad you are back to the game!

I believe Arielh's offered good advice for most farmers - gradually build stock. Look at coming events for ideas about what may be needed and plan for those animals. Perhaps it would be easier to buy cheaper animals on your market and grow the rest, especially the rare ones. I have favorite pens/workshops that stay out most of the time, because of my farming plans - such as the paint factory and an orange turkey. Some I choose to leave out as money makers.
Mainly, I spend a lot of time searching the market for deals, as Brooke has suggested. Too many pens to grow all I need!:p

    Hi Wriskica, Welcome back :)

Your sure to receive many good suggestions, but only you can determine which will fit your game goals.

Some farmers choose to raise animals for a number of reasons.
In most markets, Animals are more expensive to purchase, therefore yield a higher selling price.
but some farmers simply enjoy having a few or many animals around the farm :) I am one of these farmers, I buy my crops, well.. buy almost anything and everything if the price is right. lol

I do agree with what Bhodho has mentioned regarding having a large quantity of animal pens out at one time to increase stock numbers quickly.

If you want to keep your animals on the glade, then perhaps switching a few of the shorter timed stables with work shops or longer timed rare stables, may be beneficial.

However you decide to set your farm up, Make sure to have some fun xD

I have a bit of a system that seems to work ok for me. I dedicate my mill to PF when I can. I go through and mill 100 of each animal's feed. Then go back to PF. In rotation I set out all pens for an animal in my inventory and leave it until the feed is gone. On to the next set of animals and so forth. When I have no feed left for the animals, PF gets put on hold for a few days while I'm milling feed again. It helps me keep up a good stock, have plenty to donate to FSQs and between time I grow crops back up that have been used for various reasons to my preferred stock of at least 4000.
Everyone has their way. There really is no right or wrong, just whatever works for you! :)

I keep my Magical Glade full of rare animal pens & rare trees except for those very rare events when I need the space for growing junks. :p Still need so many rare animals for FSQ's, also they're usually some of the best CC earners in the market. ;) I've been able to finish most events early and have enough crops so that I've put out animal pens in the Green Meadow & Main fields between events. :) I'll only put out orange or higher level normal animal pens ( I have at least 1 orange of every normal animal except chameleon), 1 of my goals during early BBD's when I had enough PF. :music: So I've been able to accumulate enough animals that I don't have to stress when events call for animal donations. :D Have only just begun to put out workshops, price of products have been sky high since before Top 1000. :wuerg: Trying to create a good base amount of animals so I can use workshops or breed as I want/need. ;) I also try to keep an eye on the market & pick up any reasonably priced animals I can afford. :music:
Edit: Now have an orange chameleon after last BBD :D

I do the same dafodily! Rare pens and trees(I have a few in the main farm too) are in the Magical Glade but for most of the events I put out the pens.

I have several of each type of stable, workshop and tree, along with many upgrades. I Initially, I worked on enough to complete the Noah's ark quest (1/2 whatever quantity was requested for each level), producing and then selling to buy more. I have at least an orange (or red, if won) pen for all available and am working on getting pinks, But it winds up helping a lot to be able to fill my fields with specific pens when needed for quests. In many cases, it is cheaper to buy the base pens than to buy the animal during events. Having orange, red or pink (even yellow) helps more. With trees, I do more or less the same, though its often cheaper to just buy the lower cost fruit. Still, I do have the trees in case of events requiring them.

Beyond that, I try to put out at least 1 of each stable and tree, then "extras" of whatever stable, workshop or tree I need for whatever goal. I begin with the Green Glade (initially because I would not have to tear it down for MM), but have long since exceeded that, so I start there and then put the rest in the other fields. I do the same in Baha/rainforest, though room is not an issue there. I tend to sell animals and buy non-event crops and many products, so my "extra pens" include whatever (stable or workshop) is selling for the most profit at the time. I am also, now that I have finished most of the non-breeding quests, trying to build up base stocks, currently 100 of each animal and 250 of each crop and tree (just a nice even number). When done, I will up that.

I have bought some wonder stables, including the packs. However, a lot of the rare pens and trees came through G & T trades. , I first worked to get one of each pen and tree, then up to 2-3, though of course I have more of many pens.

Anyway, there is no real "correct" answer. Some people, look a lot to selling things in the market to get CC and then go buy what's needed for quests, etc. Others prefer to just grow it all. I am somewhat in between. I don't grow things that are total CC losers (kiwi right now has feed that often costs as much as the animals, sometimes even more), but I don't just grow the "higher end" items, either. I like to have a base of everything.

Used to feel the same ...NOT now... i see them as being extremely useful when stock gets low... I can get ALL my pens out and restock animals faster with more pens
I am doing that now ....have got 3 fields full of animals with trees around the edges
    Another field WOULD be great;)

  13. I think you have to decide what you want out of your farm I just want to enjoy farming, rather than aiming for any particular aspect.

I have a mix of animals (pens and workshops) and trees on all my fields; buy any crops required for animal feed and mill 100 per time until there's around 1000 in store - then switch to power feed. I only grow crops for events which interest me and a few long plots on one of the island fields. I don't chase either ep or cc and sell some rare or other animals and tree fruit on a regular basis (there are a few that are just money spinners).

I've had my farm virtually since the inception and still enjoy it, though I agree there are too many new animals and trees being introduced without apparently a plan for how to use them. It is one of my repeated hopes that BP give us a new main field in the not too distant future and we get to put out a few more animals and trees. Both the Moonlight field and the breeding pen which no longer take up room are great, but they don't address the perennial issue of 'never enough space for mainland animals, trees and crops'.

Some of the pens I keep out because I like them, similarly with some trees they have a special place in my heart for various reasons, including happy memories of when I got them first. I have a few Rainbow and Spring trees in the Park, because they are pretty and I remember the excitement when we first saw them. I always have the Buddha on the Island, purely because I like it. I always keep the Birthday sheep out, because I just think it's such a fun pen and it was the first pen to give two animals and much prized. Maybe my way isn't the best strategy for getting to the next level, but I've always preferred the journey to arriving at the destination.

So, my advice is simple - it's a game, enjoy it.

Welcome back Wriskica, I too took about a year off.

I have placed my animals on the Magical Glade as well. For the free water of course. Due to the number of animals causing some confusion in the process, I've allowed the goal to determine which animals or products I produce.

If the Farmers Quest calls for Timber I'll fill the fields with a ratio of two Beaver Ponds + one Saw Mill. This allows me to produce the needed Timber plus build up Beaver stock at the same time. Of course you can always use the ratio of one pond + one mill to attain the Timber faster without saving up a store of Beavers.

I use this process for each quest. For the breeding quests I've filled the entire page with the desired animal and raised the stock to around 2000 animals. I've found that's a good starting point when the Baby Boom Day rolls around.

    Welcome back.

Animals! Just be happy doing whatever it is you are doing. There are some big farms and small farms; some have many animals and some a few; some have may crops and some only a few; some many animals pens and some only a few. Just enjoy whatever you do.

Among other things, this farms works with animals. It has over 3,500 animal and production pens and 1,584,472 animals. How many is enough? Animal pens are placed because I simply feel like it and sometimes very efficiently according to production time and RL; sometime very efficiently according to cc earning potential; and sometimes just to get rid of some feed as I play the feed market also and only mill feed; and sometimes I won't harvest chicken pens which have been ready for a week. Even BAHA animal feed is over 150 million ccs at market price. How much is enough?

There are many kinds of animals in the game. They go through periodic cycles which all go back to the basic crop and they go through cycles too.

Some like chickens, some pigs, some horses, dogs, donkeys, peacock, owl, platypus, ....., One may be very hard on what they do and consider as much as they can handle where as some do not consider anything. Just be you!

I only keep my highest EP value trees and EP value pens on the glade because the EP is a tiny bit higher there.

My glade looks just like that...I do have trees around the edges...but the pens have been slowly creeping on to my other land. Once I earn a pink...then the lower levels go away. If its cheaper to buy the animal then i dont put the pen out...but yes when too many
