Holiday Hustle Strategy thread

Looking at the reworked numbers the big one that jumps out to me is 1000 spice bottles. Basically 1000 drops....ouch. With only a 4 and 7 hour event crop...ouch. That's about 143 drops per day, correct?

 

Actually we need 1200 spice bottles so 150 drops a day...
Clashstrummer I have changed the requirements again because cutie carrot noticed a few differences between the EN FAQ and some others.

 

I am so mixed up now I have forgot when the time is for this......6pm here is 12 am there?......at least I got my barn stocked. next step learn my math.

 

Let's hope the EN FAQs get updated with the correct information soon. We have enough confusion right now.

Even if we are not yet sure of the numbers. Just prepare for the maximum and hope less is needed, especially the drops. At some point the FAQ will be adjusted.

 

At this point I am going to fallow Banjoman, and for the 1st time clear my glade and rain forest I really hate the idea of clearing the glade all special's go there, I have to go threw my notes and find Mirs wonderful double tree drop I know it starts with only 20 hour trees.....
Right after math ler'in I will go for better notes!

Thanks for opening the thread. Some calculations on my part to help you cross check.


chocolate cookie:

• You Need 150 to complete the progress bar
  • 3,600 wheat
  • 4200 anise
  • 3900 cardamom

Candied apple :

• You need 80 to complete the progress bar
  • 400 Apples
  • 960 cinnamon
  • 80 Mulling spices
    • 480 bottles Mulling spices bottle
    • 1920 anis
    • 1120 cardamom
    • 800 Sugarcane

candy cane :

• You need 60 to complete the progress bar
  • 120 Mulling spices
    • 720 Mulling spices bottles
    • 2880 anise
    • 1680 cardamom
    • 1,200 sugarcane
  • 300 cherries

So overall you need the following Total requirements

• 3,600 wheat
• 9000 anise
• 6700 cardamom
• 400 apples
• 960 cinnamon
• 200 Mulling spices
• 300 cherries
• 1,200 Mulling spices bottles
• 2000 sugar cane

Only variation need
2000 Sugarcane (mulling spice mix = need 200*10 sugarcane) and
300 cherries (candy cane mix = need 60*5)
Unless I am missing something or FAQ is not correct.
I hope the drops are good at 150 per day
Just glad drops fall from all fields and animals/crops/tre
wonder if workshops included for drops?

on the level for chocolate chip cookies isn't each level 15, 40, 60, 80, 90, 150? if so doesn't that mean that for each level you need that amount and if so does that mean that from your calculations 12ss12 that the amount from the previous level carries over to the next? just curious because you have on the chocolate chip cookies the amount from the last level as the total needed?

This Mathematically Challenged Insomniac (who can't even type, right now, lol) Thanks you many times over for all of your calculations. Thank you Arielh for starting up the thread and 12ss12 your step by step is just grand. You all are wonderful adding your own input for the thread. Believe or not I actually tallied everything up, used to do it all the time, but stopped for awhile.No drive, I guess.. Made a few mistakes earlier with the xxl's, but ripped them out. The farm needs no more ripping for now. Messed up on those darn Candy Canes counted 1 but managed to finally reach the 120 for mulling spice. And farmrlife, I don't think workshops will get us drops, yup, I have a few choice ones on the farm mistake 3, I look forward to an event where I can actually have 7 days to complete.

angelinasnyder, It's more like a trip across country. When you reach a stop along the way, you get a prize. The whole trip is 150 cookies, 80 Candied apples and 60 Candy canes. See Mir's picture to help you understand.

12ss12, 300 cherries is correct as frmrlife has stated.

In some forums its stated Drops come from workshops too. But not in English FAQ. So I am confused on that point.

yes, angelinasnyder. You are correct. In Penguin, the last step requires 150. So you are to donate 60 to make 90 become 150.
I went through several other Forum's FAQ. Here is a translated version of a part of Greek FAQ. The same has been stated in

"If you complete the progress of each animal, if for example feed the penguin with 150 chocolate cookies, then the penguin will stop appearing on your land. They will appear only two other animals until you finish all three bars of animals. When completed the ritual and completed all 3 bars, you will appear again and 3 animals in order to receive extra gifts if you wish by square boxes. "

which means in simple English that,

After feeding 150 chocolate cookies to penguin, it will stop appearing on your farm. Similarly for other 2 animals too. When you have finished for all the 3 animals. Then once again all other animals will appear once again on your farm and you can feed them and receive extra gifts.


This is from Spanish FAQ

• To feed the pets, you will receive a gift and that pet will be delivered automatically to the progress bar to go forward in the game
• When a progress bar is complete, stop out on the farm the corresponding pet
  • When the three bars are completed all pets will reappear on the farm so you can continue feeding them and reap the rewards

This is from German Forum FAQ,

Polar Boera want of you only the candy canes as a gift. . Overall, he expects 60

Apologies for my above post, please do not "like" it for there isn't anything worthwhile written in, especially for a strategy thread.

The last event requiring drop items had me on the run, literally and figuratively. I realized I had grown to comfortable in my thinking, proper planning or focus wasn't needed for event participation. It is!
The desire to get back on track is there, time always isn't. If this the case for other farmers as well, The event needn't be written off completely. Do as much of it as you can, with what time you are allotted. Even tough you may not complete all levels and steps there are some beneficial prizes worth obtaining. (stars, wonder tree, stables, EP givers, presents) Every little bit helps towards farm advancement, and game progression. Beside the material prizes, perhaps the best prize you'll receive is in gaining knowledge & experience helping to better prepare for a future event. Our more seasoned players have provided a vault of knowledge tucked away in many of the prior strategy threads. Many thanks to them for their time. Great suggestion would be to read through them. I refer to them and find myself questioning many things, and in relation to obtaining higher drop rates... Does the harvesting order of your fields truly play a part in their increase ? How about Buffs/cloud rows/pets, using vs not using them, perhaps switching them up is in order. Rotating crops seems to help. Harvesting on time !
Orange pens vs red pens vs pink pens... Lots of interesting things to play around with but most of all have some fun!
Hopefully I'll be more attuned and productive tomorrow.
