ooooohh!!!! That David!! He makes me sooo mad!!!
Who does he think he is, treating me like a child being bad!!!
What an opportunity to visit outer space!!
To turn it down would just be a disgrace!!

Oh! Someone's coming!! I'd better hide in the back!!
They're getting in! Starting up the Racer!! Aaaaaack!!!
We're going backwards!!! Eeeeek!! Is that sirens I hear??!!
Oh NO! And that's David's laugh, too! oooooh...for this he'll pay dear!!

I made it to the front seat, and looked outside....
That moon's awful B-I-I-I-G-G!! Oh, OH! What a RIDE!!!
And David's in the front seat, as if he's in control!!!
Well! It looks like he is!! Guess he's on a roll!!

I wanted to go to the Moon - it's a dream come true!!
David's in the Pilot's seat - and he looks so handsome, too!!
But I can't let him know he's making my heart flutter...
Making me melt into a puddle of butter!!

What can I say? David is definitely so bold.
Driving a spaceship even though he is not so old!

Lily's dream will come true! She didn't need novarad after all!
My one question is: Ιs it safe with David in control?

I can hardly believe this...we've finally reached the Moon!!
Gone 'round the Backside...Is that David - singing a tune???
How can he be so calm?!! I'm half scared to death!!
It's like he has a plan...while I can hardly catch my breath!!!

David's cut the engines now, and we're floating in the air....
What am I saying?!! There isn't any!!...But he doesn't seem to care!
He's turning toward me, such a gentle look on his face...
His hand on my cheek - making my heart flip-flop and race...

His kiss, so firm yet gentle, makes my face go red and pink...
The rest of me, too! I feel so funny - don't know what to think!!
Ummm...that's if I could think! Why is my brain such a muddle??!
His arms circle 'round me, pull me into a close cuddle........

Off to the Moon in a stolen rocket !
and I don't have any map in my pocket...
This powerful machine has the thrust, you see
To conquer the earth's gravity

I know there will be trouble on my return
Forget that for now, there's fuel to burn !
What a view !! Of the earth behind !
The panoramic view - one of a kind...

Now around the moon to it's dark side
This is a really great place to hide !
One place where her Mum cannot see
So I can kiss Lily privately...

Drifting slowly -what a sight to see !
Unblemished view of our galaxy !
But she seems to only have eyes for me
As I reach to hold her romantically..

Vrrrrrrrrmm !! I knocked the power lever !
EEK !! No time to retrieve her
I had better regain control real soon !
Headed straight for the back of the Moon !

Phew ! control regained at last
The controls responded very fast
Now to show my Lily a wonderous surprise
soon to see the famous 'Earth-Rise'.....

Cut short by an elbow that set us all a-spinning..
An accident that assured there'd be no kind of 'sinning'!!

Cruizin' behind the Moon, where no-one can see
You cannot get more private for Lily and me...
We were passionately kissing, way up there all alone
Away for Aunt Betty - our constant chaperone!

As the earth-rise appeared filling up our window
I thought - getting back, we had a long way to go...
From here the earth looked tiny - what if I miss ?
Worrying won't help - I'd better finish our Kiss !

Novarad has got his 'knickers-in-a-knot'
He thinks stealing his space ship was an evil plot
The cockpit is linked direct to his phone
I always had the feeling that we weren't alone...

Now there is one tiny detail where I haven't planned
Sometime, somehow, this craft I must land !
Lily thinks that I have thought this all through
I'm keeping quiet: if only she knew !

Hmmm... as I sit here surrounded by knobs
and a gryo-thing-whats-it and other bits and bobs...
She's depending on me ; I need a real plan
and to stay , in here eyes, a much better man..

Computers have memory, I need to find where
Yes! I have found it! can I repeat with care?
It is possible to copy Novarad's trip, I suppose
And land in that garden surrounded by rose !

I've programmed the co-ordinates in earth's atmosphere
I smiled at Lily - "We are nearly there!"
Just like Novarad - our descent matches!
Knocking down the same roses, with the same scratches !

On terra-firma : oh, the ground feels so good
quickly forgetting my doubts about whether I could
get us safely back, what a relief !
And both in one piece - it defies belief !!

Hello again, Dear Diary,

Can you believe that David and I have been to the MOON??!!
And now we're back down to Earth - it seems all too soon!
What an adventure(!!) - I'll remember it all of my lifetime...
Especially our kiss...to miss it would have been a crime!

Someone once said 'All good things must end'...
I guess it's true, too, for our time in New Zealand.
Time to go Home, time to go back to a 'normal' life...
For nothing could match these 'high's', or intense strife!

Such new things I've learned, new things I've seen...
How could anything else ever go where we've been?!!
Just heard from David...Aunt Bethy knows we kissed on the Moon!..
..Said she wormed it out of him, and she's been gone all afternoon!

She's told all the Newspapers, TV!!! She was sooo delighted,
She's told Everyone of our Moon kiss-and they're all excited!!
They're making such a Big Deal of it - said it's now History...
They've arranged a Private Jet to fly us home, David and me!!

Oh, what could POSSIBLY be next, faithful Diary, Dear!!??
I'm practically exhausted just waiting to hear
Of all the stops we will make-the Islands we'll see-
On this Great Trip, going Home, for David and me...​

It was time for Lily to head on home
I was going too,so she wouldn't be alone...
She farwelled my family, and friends anew
and Chad impressed us again - a pilot he knew !

His cousin Thad got to pilot our plane
And the three of us took to the skies, once again !
We island hopped, thrilling both Lily and me
Such beautiful places all the way to Hawaii...

About two islands later, as we came in low
a large flock of parrots, put on quite a show !
But a few accidentally bumped into our jet...
Thad fought for control, a sea landing our best bet

but the engines had died, we had no time to fret
"Oh no ! Hang on, Lily ! - you're about to get Wet !"
There was only time for a quick look at each other
If anything, I was worried about a "Glare" from her mother!

Thad landed us safe-ish not far from the shore
The life-raft inflated, attached to the door
We loaded up heaps before the plane sank
as we scrambled aboard - a calm sea to thank...

Maroooned on an island... is there only us three?
another chapter in the saga of Lily and me...
It Does look deserted, Lily looked in dismay...
Now, what do I remember from watching "Castaway"??

TERRIFYING!!!! The worst moments of my life!! I can hardly believe we survived!!!

Dear Diary -

I hope my writing can be read!
It's a wonder we're not all dead!!
Thad was amazing, landing us near shore..
We're alive! Nothing less...and nothing more!

Steady and competent, just like his cousins, three-
Brad, Chad, and Novarad...it must be in their family tree.
But I saw his hands were shaking, as he handed me down
To David who was waiting there, his face a great big frown!

Uh oh...not again! Men and their competitive nature...
I see it now, I'll wind up wet! Errr..again that is - for sure!
Thad says this Island's deserted - our goal is to survive.
To learn to live and come out of this, all three of us alive!!

Somehow I never thought of this, not in my wildest dreams!
If we aren't rescued we'll have to grow up fast, or so it seems!!
To live here for so many years....Oh! I'm getting a headache!!
I have to think we will be saved, and that we'll catch a break!!

what is in store in the future of us three?
Lily is all gushy - Thad's her superhero !
To the plane's owner, he rates Absolute Zero !

Yes, we got down safe enough, island within reach
but any half decent pilot would've landed on the beach !
I know you measure success, Lily, on Not getting wet
But can we actually survive with no internet?

Yes dear, it was scary, but no fire melodrama
but how can we live without farmerama?
Now we have shelter to build, and water to seek
and we will miss a breeding event, on all next week !

Lily's been smitten - is it the pilot's uniform?
It seems any name ending in "-ad" is her norm...
There's something Lily hasn't realized about Brad, Chad and Thad
It is no coincidence;- they All rhyme with 'BAD' !

And is that miniskirt all the clothes you could save?
In this unforgiving sun, you are being really brave!
I suppose I'll put sunscreen on All your bits that are bare
Yes Okay! if I must, I'll apply right up to there !

Dear Diary,

Imagine being in this beautiful place,
Just like in the beginning of the human race!
All sunshine and soft breezes - Paradise, you'd think!
Well, I don't know what's wrong, but something here stinks!!

David's gone all grouchy, he's not talking much to Thad...
And he's looking at my skirt as if it's something bad!!
Well, it is too short, but it got all wet and shrank!!
Either that, or someone has played a very bad prank!!

I'm hoping that soon we can go back to the plane
And rescue my luggage before they drive me insane!!
Thad's not much better..I've caught him staring - a time or two!
I think I'll build a hut for one, way up in a tree...with a view...

So I can see them coming a long way off and prepare
To rain down the coconuts and give them a scare!
(Sighhh) But really what I want is to all be together,
Building us a nest to shelter from the weather!

This won't be an easy life, but it can be lots of fun
If we all work and play - all of us - as one!!
Two such men together just can't be beat..,
And, actually, I think they're both really neat!!

Deserted island life, Can bring quite a few tears...
for poor Lily, it was bringing out her worst fears
Thad and I dived down to the plane and rescued all her stuff
But our efforts were in vain: it just wasn't quite enough!

We got All her treasures, and those essential things
but ornamental status to some , is what island life brings!
Her worst crisis so far; she wasn't being fair
Nowhere could she plug that thing to straighten out her hair !!

Oh well, I hope she copes, It's all a state of mind...
We really don't need a fashion show, that stuff we've left behind
Thad's a great fisherman, it's really been a treat...
Nothing have we wanted for, when it comes to stuff we eat !!

And without having to go to work, I'm having a fine time
The hardest thing I've done today is making this all rhyme!
if you're wondering how this poem gets to you from me
I stuck it in a bottle addressed to our BP !

The guys are really quite han-dy,
And they've built me my own little shack!
I'll admit at first I was taken aback...

When they covered my eyes
And then said "Surprise"!!

But Oh! How I love it - it's dan-dy!!




They've filled it with things they got from the plane
Some things were great...and some just inane!...
(Like a plug-in hair straightener!! Haha!!
Now, if they could build a solar panel - voila!!)

I am sure they meant well, they can be really sweet..
But I hope they realize it's more important to eat!!
Starting a fire will not be any trouble...
There are so many ways...even a water bubble


To focus the sun's rays, or from my mirror, a shard...
No - a fire will not be at all hard.
And they're both good at catching some fish!
Yum! for last night - we had a fabulous dish!!

Hmmmmm...taking stock of our fate, it's not too bad...
There's fire and fresh water, and lots of food to be had!!
The boys are getting along-must have been the fishing!!
I'm so glad, I don't care - it's what I've been wishing!!

A girl could certainly do a lot worse
Than live on an Island and not need her purse!!
Not to mention, of course, two great Hunky men...
er..can't think of that till we're rescued, who-knows-when!!
