Has anyone been able to continue feeding any of the trio after completing the event milestones? I just completed feeding the 150 chocolate cookies to the penguins and now the penguins have stopped spawning. I grew extra event crops in hopes of feeding lots more of the polar bears, they are such thoughtful guests bearing such lovely presents.

@Aetheria14, each animal will stop spawning after you feed them the required amount. Once you complete the event, all three animals will return and you can collect as many gifts as you want. :)

    Zero is correct.

If you hover your mouse over one of the finished animals it will say, "This Santa's helper has eaten too much and is snoozing. They'll return once their friends are full of treats too."

Hooray for more polar bear visits, and thank you Zero and Decree for clarifying how the spawning works. It is a very nice feature if you intended to complete the event, to ensure you get all of the event prizes. For my main farm of 1x1s with FOCD it works. But not so nice for those who planned to skip some of the levels, like my little farm which has taken a minimalist approach to events, trying to make some ccs.

Put in 3 fields of refined carnations with water and manure over night ...with 3 howie do nothings .... took note of how many bottles i had last night 241

***Am starting to think all these add on's are rubbish and don't help one bit***

Harvested my fields this morning and the total of bottles now is 339...which means this morning i got the GRAND TOTAL of 98 bottles

    Am I ANGRY yes extremely

Seems i am spending my time working my butt off and GETTING NO WHERE and nothing for it
Sorry for the MOAN and speaking my mind ....but am really getting cheesed off with this... this isn't FUN
And i can't say the prizes are worth all this work and MY TIME ...because i am ploughing back what i am earning into the game that i have won in presents... in fact i am spending more out by buying Manure and the machinery

AND to give me an egg warmer without having the EGG is hilarious... i have more then enough trinkets at level 91.. i don't need or want to buy another or have the room thank you

And A VERY BIG Thank you to the people that have sent me bottles without me even asking for them ...without these people I wouldn't have even got this far (((((((((((hugssss))))))))))to you ;)

MOAN OVERxD Sorry Farmerama you have rattled my cage
Love My Farm ...but maybe it's time to find a new game
I don't want easy ...BUT this is ridiculous

Ok Mooboy i got that wrong... gives carnations less time that's fine...
BUT surely planting carnations should give me better drops then 98 bottles on 3 Fields OF 1x1's ?

And i haven't got a trophy to put in the fields ...that was taken when i reached 29% on ..LL

12 Hours Carnations with manure and water
    18 hours Reindeer

*** Rains stopped NOW Wellies on and off to walk the fields with Meg ...tizz a good day for it ***;)

It is Christmas Eve...Merry Christmas Everyone ;):):D

Nellie Noodles.....The Refinements on Carnations does not help boost getting more Drops on Carnations it only helps reduce Carnations growing time.....It is about Max out your Animal/Crop Trophies to Highest % as you can but also need to place these Trophies into the Fields before harvesting these Crops....Using Howie Donuts also Boost Drops use them if you have any ok.

But I found that Growing Long Timed Animal Pens using Cloud Row Reducing Animal Times plus using Cheese Balls and Valentine Pots on as Such as Reindeer Stables Actually Gives you more Drops than Carnations which only takes about 9 hours to grow or bit less than that but Refinement on Carnations still takes about 12 Hours to Grow, Plus Manure is expensive not need to waste Manure on Reindeer Farming you actually gain two manure per Reindeer Pen

Thanks Zerodegrees and Degree as you Quiet Rightly said
I have a reasonable amount of surplus Anise and Cardamon Crops, But use up all my Mulling Spice Bottles as i cannot mill any Mulling Spice or Candy Cane...Many of use are at this Stage as we need to Focus Boosting Drops of Mulling Spice Bootles or trying varies Methods how to get as many as we can so that we can start getting Back our Penguins, Arctic Fox and Polar Bear But once Polar Bear gets it 60 th Candy Cane it continue to appears in own Farms

But we can Mill as Many Chocolate Cookies to Feed our Penguins as they do not need any Mulling Spice Bootles to Mill Chocolate Cookies. I have Fed 150 Chocolate Cookies to my Penguins i did not get a single Drako Wonder Stable But Arctic Fox gave me better selection of prizes From 80 Candied Apples i fed Arctic Fox with !!

I now have 38 Candy Cane Left to Make still 100 Hours of this Event Remaining, so I think i will be milling some Surplus Candied Apples and Candy Cane in Hope i get at Least Several Really Lovely Prizes Finger Crossed !!! We had a couple of events using same concept to Milling Event Feeds to Win Event Random Prizes this time is not as Rewarding as Previous Events Never Mind you never know you luck might Change...it had certainly happen to Meba091 and 12ss12.

Broke you Strategy is Helpful to some but this time do have time to make CC really as Focus to Try get as many good prizes as i can as they are something I like to win that cannot brought using my wealth of CC as Power Feeds, SG, SSG STM,Wonder Trees and Wonders Stables do come in Handy for my Farm ;)

Question. How long does it take for you to produce reindeer? And 12 hours for carnations?

  9. Decree

    Decree Old Hand

This is pretty much average for me, 30+ something on full 1x1 fields each. Which leads me to think that the issue with getting drops isn't your overnight strategy, it's the daytime strategy. The most I've ever received from one field was 45 twice from all trees on Bahamarama. It seemed like that was literally the max I was able to get. I have to assume you have both Bahamarama unlocked given your level...

Other than overnight Carnations, what are you growing on your fields?

  10. Nellie_Noodles

Daily i grow the event crops on 1x1 on three fields and have many trees out and nights i grow Carnations on 1x1 fields and the trees

And on bahamarama i grow Cactus and trees at night and event crop during the day
    with the trees
Have tried one field with animals for manure but that didnt work
Might try taking the trees away and growing event crop daily and nights carnations

Broke I have Two Cloud Rows than Reduce Animal Pens by 10%, There is Stable Master Reduce Animal Pens by 10%, Valentine Pots Reduce by 10% plus Cheese Balls Reduce Another 5%...As I have Yellow Reindeer Stables which is Roughly another 10% Animal Pen Time so Combined this gives up to 45%. Yellow Reindeer only Takes 16 Hours 12 Mins but if you add Cloud and Buffs and Rune on Top of that Brings it down to about to 9 Hours to Grow which is 3 Hours less than Refined Carnations

I have just Reap Three Fields of Refined Carnations gave me 46, 35 and 41 Mulling Spice Bottles Total of 122 Mulling Spice Bottles I used 4 Howie Donuts so it does helps on these Drops so it one of useful things to Must have to get at Barter and Gift Event as we no longer get Howie Donuts Buying BB Bundles in Near Future we should be able to win Howie Donuts have to wait and see !!!

When I started Harvest My Island and Rainforest I had all Trees gave me 54 and 49 Respectively of Mulling Spice Bottles, this is Highest I got so far in Drop But Mind you trees to either Take 12 Hour or 20 Hours to Grow only Suzy Turbo Mulch can reduce growing time on trees but at a COST !!! as we have to either EARN Suzy Turbo Mulch or Buy them !!!

My Highest Tropics Tree is Moringa Tree but Island Trees are Expensive to Buy so I slowly stocking up my Moringa Trees....Nellie Noodles I am able to Get Reindeers down to 9 Hours using Combination in First Paragraph as Stable Master Rune does help your Animal Pens but Animal Pens can use Water on Top of 45% Cloud Row and Buffs Combination bring it to at least 50% Effective which is better Strategy than Growing Carnation Refinements plus they seem to give more Drops of Mulling Spice Bottles too as I surround these Reindeer Stables with 12 Hour Trees ;)

Haven't got a stable master rune ... didn't know we had one ...can you tell me where this is ....or maybe it was from an event i didn't take part in ?
Have got 3 howie donuts in different fields
Can make cheeseballs and valentine pots
***Bangs her head on the desk*** have just taken trees off my farm and left a few :cry:xD Grrr goes back to put trees back
    Thank you guys Much appreciated

found that i have unlocked the stable rune ;)so that's Good must have opened that years ago ...Haven't got that many runes to open
Shall have no head or hair left by the time this event ends Wolf LOL xD... but am learning from everyone So that's good in my book;)
And will have the egg nog :p

Nellie Noodle The Stable Master Rune is Rune Just Above Tools Galore Rune not sure how many Stars is needed to unlock it guess about 40 to 50 Stars I think You need to go to Glade Tree where whole Tree is Full of Runes which are unlocked using Stars ok

I advise to use all three Howie Donuts in Same Field gives up to 15% More on Drops Rather just 5% per Field you currently have ok

If you have good CC can Buy Cheese Balls from the Markets or Craft Them but Valentine Pots can be won by Donating Candied Apples to Arctic Fox or Candy Cane to Polar Bears But it worth Getting some Yellow Reindeer Stables from the Stores as at same time build up stock of Reindeer for Next Reindeer Breeding

Have a Nice Coffee or Egg Nog and Relax and Plan your Farm to be more Productive ok Good Luck Hope My Christmas Helps you lots plus to other Farmers too ...

Hey Nellie, all the trees need to be timed alike don't they, so why are you banging your head :D Thanks !!!!! Happy Christmas !

ok, so after ripping out more trees :), and losing commission on reindeer feed,o_O
and a bunch of various other teeny mishaps-.-o_O I have learned a few things about this event.... The most important being, just how far farmer friends are willing to go to take care of another farmer :D:D:D
Win or Lose, I'll still have that. :inlove:8)Major Thanks to all whom have stuck by me, you are all Unbelievably kind. :inlove:

My strategy has been to remove most of my trees, apart from those on the periphery. Now I know most of you think this is mad but when I compare drop rates from 1x1 with refined carnations vs 12 hr trees or even 12 hr trees with ginger, I've even left the 20hr trees and mulched them, my farm drops are better for crops so I don't tend to use many trees. I think it just takes a while for you to get to know your farm and your playing style for you to be able to maximise on drops. Well, that's my take on it all anyway!;)

Congratulations on going so far so fast!

Be sure to move them before you harvest!!

If you (like me) tend to forget to move them, then try putting out 2 1X1 plots of something very visible (I used corn) right in the "middle" of your field where you cannot miss it as a reminder. The few EP, etc you lose from those 3 plots is made up for with the donuts.
Also, don't get discouraged. Random, unfortunately, means some low drops as well as some higher ones. Keep following broke, Mir, etc's strategies and you will soon see your drops build. Also, you have several days left, so don't stress too much.

Mooboy, I'm going to try and combine our strategies. This will take a couple of more posts to fully give what I have for consideration. .

    -------------------------------------
    Farm I
    • Drop rate is set and not useful
    • No cloud row, no rung unlocked, trophies at 0%
    • Produces elephant on Baha and rainforest no water
    • Produces rabbits on all mainland no water
    • Harvests one time a day
    Farm II
    • Exactly the same as above but harvests twice a day

Which situation results in more drops, Farm I or II?
Farm II will result in more drops.

    Why?
Farm II harvested nearer to completion time.

How many more drops should Farm II result in?
Over a week, about twice a many as Farm I. Drop rate can be determined but not important.

Implication: Harvest whatever produced as close to completion as possible.

    ---------------------------------------

Assume both farms now harvest twice a day. Say Farm I has one Howie Donut (uses properly) and Farm II has none.

Would I expect Farm I or II to have more drops each day?
    Farm I

    Why?
The Howie Donut (drop booster item)

    How many more each day?
I do not know and have not tested this to determine under these facts.

Implication: Drop boosters will increase the total number of drops received. This is a plus and applies to ANY drop booster imaginable. But having a flower cloud row will not help in any manner if producing animals.

    ---------------------------------------
Try the same with a 8 hour event crop on all fields using only 2x2's and no CAC no SG no water no poop.
Same results. (CAC and field size change output.)

The drop rate is what it is but harvesting reasonably on time is what I should try to do.

Mooboy, I have an alternative explanation of drops regarding carnation vs. reindeer for critique. Please be very hard on it when presented. (This time of year is somewhat time demanding so my responses probably will not be so quick.)

    Happy Holidays to All
