Holiday Hustle Strategy thread

Only completed the essentials, and nothing more...

 

Finished on this farm, after a double whammy of miscalculation started on the other farm lol!

Thought I had enough Anise on Chevrefeuille but lacked a few so set some seeds off with all the goodies to speed it up. Then just lacked one Mulling Spice Bottle (which I eventually got from a Parrot!). Looked at this farm and thought I had made the same mistake (all revolving round the need for two Mulling Spices for the Candy Cane - difficult for me to multiply by two!). So did the same with a few Anise seeds, only to find that I didn't need the extra Anise!

Again, I looked at Chevrefeuille and thought I needed a few more - - planted and nuked another seven seeds only to find I didn't need them but now can't finish cos I used the necessary seeds to get the unnecessary Anise!

Will finish in about an hour, just in time to get off to work ... again! Needless to say, this will be the end, I will not be going for any extra presents!

Wow.... this sure has been a test of endurance with those pesky chocolate chip cookies...... I have finished those and just need two more candied red apples and 23 candy canes..... will I finish.... only my drop fairy knows. Good luck everyone who is still at it.... and well done to anyone who has finished. I do hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Ours was particularly wonderful this year and included our son who has been away in the Military. We feel blessed that he was able to spend Christmas with us.

 

I'm finished on both farms but wanted to make extra candy canes to use up what I have. However, I forgot on BW I needed more anise and put out my pens. Once pens are done, I won't have enough time to grow anise and mill so will just leave it. Too tired and brain too foggy to figure out how much of what I need so made the executive command decision to just be done. The only extra EP giver I got was Beary Tasty and I sure like watching that polar bear eat all the candy I did get extra trees and one stable and am eager to see what they turn into. I waited to put them out because of growing long crops for the drops.

I think I can, I think I can. This is going to be a nail biter... my farm is running hard to make the last 30 some bottles I need.I read most of the drop theories and adopted a few. We will see how they work. Good luck to everybody who likewise hasn't finished yet!

I am really afraid of your situation happening to me. It has but no as often as it did in the distant past. The problem got to the point where I would not even plan to do entire events. I wish you well.

Seems we are not alone in this happening and hopefully now this problem will be solved or told what causes it

 

I put out all trees and stables I won overnight and it's pretty much the usual suspects. I had hopes for the Cygna stables from the winter calander but alas still no Swan or Kingfisher. Best thing I got was a red ostrich, the trees were at least all XXL's and that's about as good as it got.

After the morning harvest I elected to go with candy canes for the bears as it will be fewer clicks to feed them. I should be able to do one more round late tonight after I harvest again and then I will be done.

I did get an extra Sweet Beak giver and mostly I got a bit of everything except for CAC. Not even one and I am disappointed about that.

 

I hoped to get the Kingfisher stable Clashstrumm ... all my hopes were shattered
I didn't get one ..will at some point HOPEFULLY

 

I finished yesterday and have used up the remainder of my plants to make candy canes and apples. I haven't had a single stable or any extra givers, most of my prizes were ep, bep and cc so I am not growing any more crops and will let my extra drops cash themselves in at the end of the event. Good luck to all still going - I hope you finish/get something nice that you want. Meanwhile I am happily cashing in on chickens, poop, wheat and apples (I do love my xxl apple trees!).

After my morning harvest I did pretty well and I've done well throughout the day. I need to mill only three more candy canes and boom I'll be done.... so waiting on my drops and I am confident that I'll be able to do this before morning.

 

Finished, with not much to write home about as far as the prizes went. Stables and trees were all un-needed repeats. BP could have done MUCH better

Just wanted to say Thank you to all my friends, neighbors and SOS helpers that sent me spice bottle drops... if it weren't for all you guys I prolly would not have finished this event

 

Done, milled a few extra since I grew too many plants. Waiting on a few fields to give some more drops to mill some more candy apples/canes and then I'll mill cookies with the rest of my plants and call it a day. Rewards were nothing to shout about here with the exception of the pinkie pie pies, which are always welcome.

 

Event Update: I have not been able to get Great Prizes with Candy Cane to those Polar Bears I think that ought to be Meanie Bears not giving us decent lovely prizes......My luck has changed for the Better with my Candied Apples have won 4 x XXL Toolboxes and 2 x Fruit Foxes too. Feeding Chocolate Cookies to The Penguin Finally won a Sweet Beak But I am not going to make any more Candy Cane these have been really disappointing for me

Just finished...and I didn't get a Berry Tasty deco item! So, a cloud row that I can't use! Very disappointed.

 

uggi, if you finished event you should have the beary taste deco item. You will still need another 2x1 item to complete it though.

How could you have finished and not gotten all the deco items? If you got the cloud row from the bears which was the last item you got once you fed 60 bears then you got the Beary tasty deco item as well as it awarded to you when you fed 40 bears.

 

That's a really good question! So, I went back and checked my cloud row, and I did get the Berry Tasty, it's on the Christmas 2015 row! Whew! I didn't realize that I needed the same deco item twice when I was trying to fill the Winter 2015 row as well. So I'm still missing a Berry Tasty. I really dislike those rows that are missing an item...now, how can I get another Berry Tasty? Those grumpy bears seem a bit stingy!

OK. I'm back to edit...my post seems a bit disgrunted, and well, I am, a bit. BUT, I did get some lovely prizes as well! Several of the Drako Pens, and 7 wonder trees.

 

Actually you don't need another Beary Tasty for the Winter 2015 row. That is a different deco item that has not been awarded yet and comes from the Winter Calendar. For the Christmas 2015 row you do need an additional 2x1 item but you can use any 2x1 for it you might have or you can use the "frosty friends" that you got in this event.
