good morning my farmer friends :)

I looked thru the FAQs but couldn't find information on how much it costs to make recipes ... whether the basic or special ones. Does anyone have a link to that?

    thank you!

    Hi,
here is the link move down and there is a chart that will show the list of ingredients needed for each baking recipe. If you want to check the other trades this is the link to the main Artisan's village page. Simply move down the page and you will see links to each of the trades listed as "become a baker" "become a florist" and so on each page has a chart with all the requirements. :)

thank you ... I guess I wasn't clear in what I was asking. I'm not looking for the requirements per level, but rather, the cost in CC's to make items. Or is that even possible?

swCactus1, it all depends on your market. I assume you are talking about the cost of buying all ingredients used in a recipe.

Hmm, well it would be possible but would vary by market if you based it on buying all the ingredients. There might be some players who have done their own calculations they may be willing to share. It's a lot of math and as that's not my strong point I'm not going there.

I will say you can kind of ballpark it yourself just by looking at the ingredients required then checking the prices in your market. Compare that number with the pricing for the craft item being sold in your market and that should give you some idea.

I've done the math on a lot of these crafted goods. This is what I know. In almost all cases, it is cheaper to buy the crafted good than it is to buy the individual ingredients and make them yourself. There are those who will tell you it's cheaper to make it yourself because if you grow/make all the individual ingredients then it doesn't cost you anything. I disagree, as it would be smarter to sell the individual ingredients grown/made and buy the crafted good. There are certain exceptions based on demand which can make a crafted good profitable, but those exceptions are few and far between. As others have pointed out, a lot depends on your market.

Presently over Half of Artisan Crafts Actually Cost More to Make, Than they are to Buy in the Markets. Only Selected Few you can Craft that is bit cheaper than they are selling in the Markets. It is also not worth crafting these to sell for CC as you have to pay 10% Market Admin Fee.

I have Done Many Calculations of Many Crafting Products Mainly the Most Popular Ones, as some of them are not much use to us anyway. Easter Marmalade is only One that you can Craft to Make Good CC deduction the Cost of Crops and Fruits that cost to Make it but you need to be a Level 5 Confectionery to be able to do this.

You need to read Artisan Crafts FAQ as you need to be at Certain Levels of Each Artisan Crafts to be able to Craft those Allocated at your level, some of these Receipes can be brought from the Store using BB but Not of them as some of them you unlock from Previous Events, which was one off Chance. :p

Just one more thought on the crafting. If you are trying to level up your trade you obviously have to craft some items. Only you can decide if purchasing the extra recipes is worth it to you. I have certainly purchased a few if only to give myself more variety in what I'm crafting. I don't sell them though as I would personally rather give them away to friends, neighbors and new players in need of a hand then to sell them at such a devalued rate.

Speaking of the market...I was looking for where we find our market levels when I found this thread...I have been seeing it in signatures ^^ I knew we had different markets, but never knew they were levels hehe

Well being a member of the 40 watt club I run from math faster than a mices from a hungry bob cat.
    I make artisan stuff for:
    1. my own use, both to eat to level up and to help my crops or buffs.
    2. Gift to friends, -.-I mean what do you give to show "on my knees grateful" Here, you have everything else have some EP.
    3. To randomly give to newbees, many farmers just popped over and gave me wheat boost bread, CAC just to name a few, I can never thank them enough, not a buddy just a run by gifting it meant a lot in the start of my farm. Heck still does! l :inlove: my jam help!!!!!

I don't do the math to see what is cheaper, grow/buy as for me the most expensive part of crafts is something you can't measure..... the presents of big time farmers on your market.
These farmers can fill a field with eggs/honey trees I will never have a field of sugar trees I can dream but pipe dreams make me:cry:
My clickie finger for goat trees!!! but them as hard as finding hens teeth, yet them mega farms fill two fields with them:eek:
I have taken crafts to the market just to be buried in three pages of offers by the same farmer!

To me don't worry about cost, check your market and see what the competition is like.
Then build up your barn in jam bread spa the others and see what you can get to stay in the market.
I am not saying you can't sell, you just really have to tap that market at the right time right prices and have a storage to keep offering while you are selling.

Or it could just be me.........:p
