Neon Stable Event January 2016

Poor Noelle! What happened to the rest of your great advice in my post? Sorry, I have no idea what I did, it was late hehe.

 

I had everything I needed for the Sheep part so I'm 1 for 3.

Waiting for BBD to start to finish getting what I need for the other 2. I have enough for 3 of 5 parts on the duck and 2 of 5 on the cows. Need to get all I need today if possible as I'll be gone for the rest of BBD.

 

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers. The community is pulling together to help the family. They are doing as well as can be expected, but it is a really tragic situation. I won't post any more here.. if anyone wants to know more, IGM me.

 

I completed the event with a mix of normal and breeding stuff.
Ducks: 710 normal + 4 News (lvl.3) + 2 Sailor (lvl.4)
Sheep: 436 normal + 47 Brownie (l.1) + 2 Curly (l.4)
Cows: 426 normal + 16 Browns (l.1) + 3 highland (lvl.4)

Now waiting for the BBoom to go for the padlocks...

EDIT: I had everything in stock to deliver regular animals if I wanted to. But since we have to breed anyway to get the padlock, I thought it would be better to deliver some breeding animals, too.

EDIT 2: I just read, Woody. My deepest condolences to you and the family. May they get the strength and good friendship to overcome this terrible tragedy.

 

I too completed the three animal parts and am awaiting BBD to harvest the breedings I set up yesterday. Get those locks!

 

I suspect you will be able to finish, if you wish. Just keep breeding the base animals, selling and buying more pens (aka farmer broke strategy). I suggest working on one animal at a time, then donate enough to get a neon pen and go on to the next. You can absolutely finish without any breeding animals (or you may be able to buy them & save your PF). The number seem daunting, but just keep growing animals.

Even if you don't actually complete the event, having lots of pens and the money you can earn won't hurt!

 

Like others I have completed the animal donation portion of the event, and also waiting on the BBD to get my locks and finish the event. Sold all of my extra animals and breeds with the exception of about 2000 sheep and 50-100 L1 breeds for each animal. I've got so much CC at the moment that I'm going to be really upset once I've spent it all.

Just to be clear, the neons that are available for sale and from the last steps of the animal donation portions are for the cloud rows, only 1 neon pen each is available.

For newer players... just my opinion, but suggest going far enough to get each neon pen, then considering cost before doing more. you may well decide just to coup the sales CC.

 

I set up my breeding barn last night and then when I harvested it right after the BBD started I did something that only allowed me to see the first screen. I was very happy to discover when I went in and looked that I got a Milky-Way Cow! My very first pink animal of any kind. It came from either regs or browns as they are the only thing I bred.

 

Quick question... It's probably already been talked about and I missed it but... Would it be better to buy more than one of the neon goat,chicken,bunny items or go for the trade in on my love locks or save them in case the carry over to another event?

I've gotten everything from this event already but I'm still taking advantage of BBD therefore I'm gathering up the locks.

 

IDK if it has been discussed but think of it this way: If the locks are going to stick around, you will be able to get more of them in the future but the Neon Deco items may NOT be offered again.

But you're talking about animals. Now that's a bunch ah junk.

 

Thanks Woody for the tips. That's pretty much what I'm doing today. I set up 15 pens of each overnight as others were suggesting to see what results would be quickly (have I mentioned I like shiny new surprises)

Best results were ducks so I did another round of 10 and just scored the neon pen. On to the sheep!!!

I only have basic animals to breed so I'll keep on with it until I run out. So far over and above the news, motors and mallards used for the neon pen, I got a cowgirl cow, a peking duck and a rubber duck. I love breeding!!! It's gotta be one of the best things so far (after selling chickens and rabbits of course )

Shiny send some of your luck my way! I'm having the same dire results I had last time. I finished the event using base and level 1/2 animals and am now happily exploiting the market with my surplus - I need enough cc's to build that pink dog.

 

My skips seem to be back to normal now. My sheep were very so-so but I got a few good skips in cows. I'm getting great ones with turkeys however. So far I've got two tribal, one roaster and 5 pumpkin all from regs.

I've completed the event and am now doing some other breeding I might do enough to get the other CR but I'm not shooting for it.

 

One of the mods stated that the love locks would be exchanged for CC/EP.
While I was restocking my breeding animal larder I had a bunch of extra locks, upon examining the cost of locks per EP given the Chicken was the most economical at 750EP for 30 Locks vice 800EP for the Neon Rabbit for 50 Locks and 850EP for the Neon Goat for 70 locks, and all at 8 hours. Get the most EP and while you're at it some 1x2 givers.

 

I have to say one can get carried away on breeding with this new system Before you know it you have 60 or 80 pens going without really paying attention!! Best skip was a Flaming steer from regs. My skips seem to be doing better than last time except my sheep are being stubborn with skips Oh well, as long as the skips keep coming (guess the Goddess of Skips has come back to us)

 

Too late Clash!!! I've got breeding fever and got it bad...only saving grace is I don't have that many animals in the barn yet. Will run out real soon.

I've been selling a lot of animals for cc and using some to grab stars for the tree. Need both desperately.
