Neon Stable Event January 2016

I've just done something that for me is completely crazy. I just bought a dollar duck for 15 million. I was thinking of selling some of my breeding animals and it just popped up. You can't even buy a golden chicken in my market for 15 million so it seemed like an amazing deal. I don't even need a dollar duck...I think I may be hyperventilating.

Now do I sell it or hold on to it and then sell it?

 

Dollar Ducks are known for their habbit. I'ld say: buy a safe. A good one!

WHOO HOO!!! I just got a Goldie from reg sheep First ever of the highest bred animal. So I take back about the sheep being stingy

I have the guts feeling BP makes up for the poor BBD output during the Reindeer Breeding event. Now almost every breed seems to be a very very decent BBD one.

Mixed feelings about the consequenses. Breeding market might be flooded and inflate. Good or bad .. I don't know!

On to the event on my "old" farm since it is just over a year only took 121 breeding to get all animals needed.
The baby farm took 254 breeding cycles - skips were not good here.
I am sure there was an easier way then breed my way through it but time is an issue so was easier to set up breeding and come back later.

On the new breeding fuzzels gave one farm 4 hours of harvester features - the other farm had to do manual
I do not like the new breeding feature having to harvest one at a time and wait for results then one and wait.
With the pens we could harvest several at a time. This took forever to harvest.

Glad this one is done just not sure what I am going to do - get the 2nd cloud row or just use the locks for extra 1x2's?

As many have mentioned, the markets are very volatile. Right now my market has some ridiculously low prices, right alongside the high ones! I ended up using a minimum of EV for the event levels as prices for the bred event animals dropped so quickly. On the plus side my cows, ducks and sheep have been selling great! I found it odd that the little farm, that did less breeding with no rune, got equal if not better skips.

 

I finished the event within about 10 minutes after the start of BB. I don't have enough PF to do the second part but if I come close, I will check out any outstanding FSQs, statues or runes to see if there are enough PFs stashed away somewhere just waiting to be found!

I really must check the FAQs better. I just found some neon animals in my deco inventory and thought "Wow", I must have already got the second lot of EP givers for the second CR! Lucky I checked before I went and got the CR!

This event was not easy, lots of calculations, animals and - - breeding animals required. But it was really great to be able to prepare beforehand and then finish in a jiffy! I also managed to make a few CCs on base and breeding animals before the prices began to drop.

Think it would be silly of me to not do the first part of the game ... just to get the CC's power feed and ep etc ...can gift and trade the things i don't want

Got a sporty bat from regular ones. FOCD got me and I am trying very hard to complete the quest and get the cloud row & items. Finishing several FSQ. Cuckoo Quest gives you lot of Power feeds. I made a mistake I should have got the cloud row from the event first then should have gone to the shop. May be I could have got the cloud items in G&T. But this way is also good. I will be having both cloud rows by the end of the event itself. All is for good

Guess what ?
I read farmer_brokes's post fully but didn't read the FAQ of this event properly, so got ended with getting the reward items twice. And I had only 145 powerfeeds to start this event with. Got all the rest from FSQ and will be finishing the event in full in the next 3 hrs. If only I had gone through the FAQ properly, I could have saved so much of the trouble and 160 power feeds.

All is well that ends well.

 

12 I may as well level with you. And also because I know teddy,bear doesn't like for me to hustle CAC from my friends as loans.

I feel I should say thank you to everyone here and those in several other threads. During the last 6 weeks I made a trial run to see what I could take out of the market quickly and easily. I took out over 550 million using only a couple of cheap breeding animals. I have spent a little and can look at about 385 million. So I am not really broke right now .....

but I'll go on a shopping spree. I wish PnP could go.

When you write in the grapevine I do read it. You know I was complaining about you tempting me to clear all the animal feed from the market in several areas. It is paying off. Thank you. Many times I can see what is happening already through the market the assistance all give is used.

We talked about the chickens here. It does help me too. I make it a point to try and keep a thousand listed and remember to buy.

The event information is used to determine how to sell properly. This is with every event regardless of how much or little of it I do.

I don't know but seems an awful amount of power feeds to ensure both cloud rows.... and then do we still need to go to the Neon Shop to buy the items from the original Neon Stables.... lol. I get so confused sometimes it's horrible, thank goodness for you all (I'm using Mooboy's suggestions), that have helped in setting up strategies or I'd never get anything done. I've only gotten one good skip out of 69 breeding so far.... I got a "Rosy" and was so delighted! I am continuing to breed in larger amounts in hopes of securing those blasted locks!

After finishing the three animal requirements in full, you can then unlock cloud row 1 with 80 locks. The next 3 steps in the final Level gives you the 2nd set of neon items that can be placed in the cloud row 1. By doing the 3 animal requirements in full, you already got 1st set of Neon items that can be placed on the cloud. The second set is your option. You can do it or leave it. The set includes neon duck, sheep and cow.


You go to the neon shop to purchase the 2nd cloud row and its items. The cloud row is purchasable only once but the items can be bought several times. The items include neon chicken, bunny, goat.

farmer_broke, nowadays I don't mind going broke. Thanks to you. Seems to have got the spirit from you. I made lot of CCs this event but used them all. Of course to the benefit of the farm. Now have only 166,000 and odd CCs. But the sheep price is not encouraging. I saw that in the last 3 events. So not putting them to sell unless essential for me. Still not thinking about selling feeds as I have lots of pens in my farms. I am growing up As for your thank yous, You are always welcome The feeling is mutual.

 

I didn't pay careful enough attention to what I was doing and forgot what plan I had set up for each farm. I didn't need the 2nd set of EP givers on this farm as both park and Shipwreck bay are full. But...in that moment of click, donate...oops. LOL The 2nd set of givers was very useful for BW as both the park and Shipwreck have plenty of room.

I am now finished on both farms. BW had better breeding results than pnp. Pnp still got back a lot of basic animals.

 

I have neon on four farms and a couple has second cloud row as I had to breed to get lower animals. Think I will pass on upper level as I am about out of PF for one farm and can't breed enough to make it worth while. Good luck to all

 

I've completely finished what I wanted for the event. I did no go for the extra givers, but I did get both Cloud Rows. At this point I felt saving the power feed for later will have a bigger impact on my ability to play the game.

 

Finished all parts of the event, with some changes to my original plan. The level one breeding stock prices were so high initially on my market that I sold many of those animals and used base stock to finish the first three steps of each animal category. Then sold leftover base animals when their prices soared and the breeding stock dipped. Had to wait a bit for finishing, but I made a few million cc.
(Nothing like dear Broke and others of course!)

Wasn't going to go for the extra givers; but I decided to do extra breeding to complete some farm goals - and ended up getting all. Still have a nice supply of PF left and have only spent a third of my market gains as yet!

Glad some got excellent skips, but my results were only slightly better than the previous BB. Did get a highland cow, bumble bee and wild boar from regulars - and two sets of triplets (which I haven't seen in several BB's). Low return considering the amount of breeding I did.
