Neon Stable Event January 2016

Finished the event in full without even one extra love lock left. But have 8 powerfeeds left over. Got 2 cloudrows with their items and an extra set of second items. Now that's good.

Is any one getting more than one set of items from the neon shop ?

 

I have not even started the event, (although I have enough to complete the whole event) I normally would just donate away until it was completed. You all have me thinking about different scenarios, which is a good thing but of course confusing, to me at least. I was only able to sell a few event required animals while the prices were high, before I ran out of time. I hope to buy some back as prices are falling. I guess my one thing I am still questioning even after everything posted is, the cloud rows. I will go for CR1 but am not sure about CR2.

 

I did. Quite a few actually, since I went on a breeding binge, lol. Being able to put all of the extra neon givers out on my Shipwreck Bay took some of the PF usage (wastage) sting away at least (I had a lot of measly mainland EP givers and water tanks filling up all my vacant space over there). Kinda looks silly with all that neon out there now, but at least now I'll get better BEP from my Bay.

 

Chevrefeuille managed to scrape up enough PF to get the second Cloud Row and all the givers - wahoo! Made a slight dent on one of the more arduous FSQs at the same time - well the first level - all those Squirrel Monkeys!

Much better skips though nothing more than a three step skip (Business Monkey, Punkoo, Spuds McKinley, Gumbo, Camaeologist, Dancing Panda). Chevrefeuille got more skips but this farm got better skips (Flaming Steer, Snuggles, Peking Duck along with two Canada Geese) so all in all, I am happy with this weekend's BB.

Now, if I could just scrape together 165 PF from somewhere, I will do the second part on this farm!

 

wolfeyesone, If you are planning to do breeding anyway and get enough locks to get the second CR, I would. If you are only going to do breeding to get the locks, I'd pass on it. JMHO.

I think you may just have to sell a few animals to get your stocks of CC up again.

 

In this case, there is no real advantage to waiting, and the loss is that you lose the extra animals from the Neon pens. Per the cloud rows -- hard to say. For me, by the time I used my stocked up PF, they were basically free. That is, I already have some general breeding goals (to get orange and pink pens, a couple quests). I worked on those goals and then the locks to get the cloud rows were just "extra")

You do have to complete the whole basic event to be able to open the lock shop, though. (another reason not to wait -- you will better see what you can achieve)

 

Before reading your last posts, I decided to donate enough basic animals to receive the 3 neon stables. I did do some breeding, feels funny saying some (overboard is normal for me, as you all know) with a few goals in mind.. so I do have 133 locks at the moment and a few more breeding's in progress. The shop is open now for the purchase of the second cloud row and givers. Still debating on completing the whole 1st part of the event to open the access to the 1st CR and givers. need to go for now, will continue after awhile. TY

Mir, thanks for posting those very depressing results of the German test. To think of how many PF and how many animals it took to get so few upper level animals. Makes me want to give up breeding.

 

I just started the event and donated regular animals for the first 2 levels of each task. I want to get the 3 neon stables but I am not sure if I want to complete the event. Do you think I should go for the Cloud row? I have saved a lot of PF over the past events so I don't have a problem for this.

Really hate FOCD. Had to go back and finish all and get at least first cloud row for each farm. Some got second row cause the had enough PF. Oh well.

 

For a bit of perspective, you might consider how much PF it takes to just breed them directly --

4x2= 1 level 1 animal, 4x2x4x2= 1 level 2 4x2x4x2x4= 1 level 3 etc.

Only you can really decide the worth. However, you might be able to complete it just using regular animals and/or buying what you need. Not sure about buying with prices now so high, though.

 

Well as incredible as it sounds, I finished the event, got both cloud rows and filled them. I also have a set of three neon ep givers in my Park.... that is complete in my book. Probably not worth all the PF it took me to get there, but I couldn't leave it...... It's not in me! Congrats to those who finished and Good luck to those who are still.... working on it!
