Wow, I like the artwork created from the photos. :inlove: I hope you can round up your wild children before the weather changes to make this harder.

Wolf, the Ap is called SuperPhoto and I downloaded free from Microsoft - these were done in the "Picture" option. Haven't tried the other effects yet (meant to be doing my tax return NOT playing with pictures!!! :)
    Edit....

The lazy lumps couldn't even be bothered to show enthusiasm for their morning feed! Hmmn expect a little more excitement when I show up... but then I have noticed that they aren't finishing all hard feed between morning and evening at the moment - guess it is reindeer metabolism that isn't used to plentiful feed at this time of year?

Yep, they look pretty lazy... except angelic little Hector looks like he's thinking about getting up for some head rubs... or something, lol :p
    Thanks for sharing Karen :)

    Wolfs.
They aren't sick, in fact in "rude health"
Just talking to someone in the US (this evening) and their herd goes from 14lbs of hard feed in Summer to 4lbs in Winter (not sure how many they have but working on percentage drop - mine don't drop anywhere near that much)... It has to be something to do with their innate metabolism... I do know they don't put weight on in winter whatever they eat..
Amazing animals in lots of respects... their bodies seem to go into "close down" mode in Winter (when in the wild little food) - embryo's don't grow, bodies only eat what they need - maintenance mode only...
Amazing animals and so little research out there - I am lucky enough to be part of a worldwide "closed group for reindeer owners" (mainly Alaskan) who share our findings.. good and bad..
The biggest thing I have learnt from others which I never knew... but a Bull reindeer during the rut cannot be given any form of sedation or it will kill him.... It's a very stressy time of year with many chances of injury and to think that your bull can rip a hole in himself and you can do nothing about it until his hormones decrease gets even more scary!!! :(

I wish I could go into "close down" mode anytime during the year and not gain weight!:p

Thanks for sharing more amazing info on your lovely reindeer!:)

Of no interest to anyone but me.... My Damocles Sword is no longer hovering... I have finally filed my tax returns :)
AND tomorrow, some FB followers have volunteered to help me catch up my 2 "wild children" to worm inject and drench with vitamins (these two usually take me weeks of planing to out wit them) but hopefully tomorrow, with help they can be done too!! :) I am hoping, with help, nobody will receive a Twiggy punch!!
A non related picture of Boris today..

Me too... will update tomorrow. But had a very good day today (apart from Tax Returns), our paddocks have been very wet - good and bad, usually at this time of year temperatures cold, but this year just rain, so pasture growth has seemed like Spring.
On the down side everything too wet but today first hard frost, so I could park livestock trailer, tow field shelter in Rutland (ready for calving in May) to a new position and tried to light a bonfire to get rid of rutting bull (Monty's) kill pile of trees... Everything went well apart from bonfire - too wet to light!!!
A very minor on the to do list!!! :)

Edit... Mission accomplished, my 2 wild children have been wormed, vitamined, hoof trimmed and a head collar change with nobody getting punched... Bot am I a happy herder :) AND we got snow finally :) :)

I'm Glad everything went so well and no one was hurt. Some how I don't picture the UK with snow. Do you get much. My cat walked on my computer and now I can't get rid of this line under everything. Ugh!
