Hooked on Fishing strategy

Hi Julie, I think choosing the lures is going to be a little tricky because of the many random elements. I will probably make some premium lures if my stockpile of metal discs is large AND it easy to hit the best catch, to save on feathers and hooks. You are absolutely correct that the deluxe have the most rewards possible and the least risk of getting a bad catch.

 

Morning all! Just a quick message before I have to run, my initial drops this morning were: 77 feathers, 84 hooks, 51 discs, from a mixture of trees and stables/workshops. My best hook drop came from a field of raspberries, got 51 hooks from that field. Made 2 premium lures, caught a puffer and a lobster. Made 4 deluxe lures, caught 2 Marlin and 2 puffers.

On bearbabe, got 76 feathers, 41 hooks, 44 discs. Best hook drop was rainforest, with all trees, 29. Baha main was all stables/workshops, only gathered 17 feathers . Everything else was stables/workshops with trees in filler spaces. Of course, failed to remember to put out Howies on both farms . 2 deluxe lures netted an octopus and a marlin.

I agree, pnp, the game mechanics seem much better this time, but still seems a little off on catch values, as in a perfect catch should net a marlin guaranteed, but that's just me. Overall, I already like this fishing event 100% better than the last one.

 

I got 86 coins from my first 5 Premium lures. I'm happy with that.

 

That works if you have them, but Mir's suggestion to use trees is probably better for lower level farmers who won't have these.

 

From my first harvest I got 163 Fish hooks, 30 Lure feathers and 52 Metal discs. I plan to use Premium Lures.
Results from first 6 Premium lures: Blow fish 4, Octopus 4, Lobster 2, Parrot fish 2.

I got this as well, posted in tech. I am holding off fishing until we get an answer on this. It makes a difference in results

IF these results are correct, then I see no reason to bother with deluxe lures. Might as well use premium if the result is the same.

 

The Outcome of Planning my farm ready for this Event. I am please to get 76 Lure Feathers, 159 Fishhooks and 131 Metal Disc. My Current Strategy is to Reap as Many Stables as I can in all Fields, with All XXL Trees round the Edges to see how well I get Drops of Lure Feathers and Fishhooks and Metal Disc !!

In the last Fishing Event, There was Issues of Hitting the Green Ring but was not getting the Perfect Catch of Marlin. As it not Quiet Base on Skill getting a Perfect Catch as it is Partly on Luck or Likely of getting a Marlin. We have to see how it Goes so your Input of Results of Fishing Lures will not or may reveal that Fishing Lure Might Get Better Results than Deluxe Lures, as it not suppose to as Deluxe Lures to gives us Better Chances.

We have to devise bit later on which lures to Mill, Fishing Lure,Premium Lure or Deluxe Lures. I Hope we will be getting Better Outcomes

Nellie_Noodles...There is no Refinements on any Tropical Crops, But we do have a Tiki Timer which helps reduce Vegetable Crops by 20% Each Tiki Timer Last for 6 Hours. Sadly cannot but Tiki Timers in the Market as Either Get a Neighbour or Buddy to send you Tiki Timers or Carousel Music Box which Gives Tiki Timers ok

 

It took me 36 premium and 6 deluxe lures, but I got 754 coins to get the cloud row and givers. I caught marlin using the premium lures and casting before the perfect catch. Hope this helps.

 

I didn't track the individual fields but was instantly able to mill 3 deluxe bait (42 feathers, 42 hooks) plus another 36 hooks and 38 metal disks.

Got 3 merlin fish on my first catch. Whoohooo!

Decided to minimize growing trees and also aim for deluxe bait mainly.

 

So now the question is which daily gift drop to give? Congrats makeeating69!!!!

 

The first thing I wanted to get was the chocolate pancake recipe. Now I have enough points, but looked to see what the requirements were to make the pancakes and noticed we need chocolate sauce. I don't have that recipe and there aren't many offers in the market. Am I missing something?

 

I'm sending feathers until requested otherwise. To make up hooks there are lots of quick crop options, stalls and workshops are slower to harvest feathers.

 

I have animals and workshops on main and green meadow with trees on the edges, all trees in the glade, trees on baha, and trees and animals in the rain forest.

 

Just finished my 2nd try on a field with just chicken and cuckoo pens (shortest runtime pens). Got 2 feathers only in like 3hrs.
Not worth it.

And habala I know that feeling very well ..working and getting nowhere ..it's the general state of play for me Hopefully with what other people are doing ...might just help us on this ...we can ONLY try

Harvested some pink pens and no feathers. Will need to replace some trees with stables tonight and see if I can get a better balance.

 

Thanks for the info Nellie. I still need the recipe for the chocolate syrup and it's not available to buy. Would have to buy the finished product from the market. Again, am I correct or missing something?

 

You are correct mindy in that the chocolate pancakes requires chocolate syrup which the recipe is not available for purchase. Sigh. Another very nice reward but not helpful without the other recipe. Choc syrup has more than doubled since FAQ came out. On its own, it isn't a product I would use so I have none in the pantry. I was super excited when I saw the pancake recipe as a prize but now....well, maybe one day we can get the syrup recipe too. For now, no pancakes for me.

 

Mindy you can also look at it another way. The price of cocoa beans, apples and strawberries will likely rise. You could get the pancake recipe now and sell apples and strawberries to purchase the chocolate syrup.
