Feedback Hooked on Fishing

Such a shame the event is not functioning as advertised; I join in the frustrations felt by many over a good idea not well executed.

As a test I hit a "perfect" catch and followed it up with a "weak spot" catch, using premium lures to get at least two fish. Three times I had the exact same result from a perfect and a weak spot catch - marlins, blowfish, parrotfish. Twice I got marlins on a weak spot catch and twice got lobster on a perfect catch. Threw in one regular lure with a weak spot catch and got a marlin.

Results do not match the faqs chart, example: a perfect catch should not result in a lobster with premium lures (which has happened to me multiple times). Also, the faqs lead players to believe there is some skill involved in getting a better result. The experiences of many players indicate random results - no skill appears to be involved.

I love the game concept and the prizes (and ability to choose them) are great. However, I cannot see any improvement in the game mechanism from the first fishing event. Players are still frustrated over random results, the drop rate is very poor and it takes a long wait to harvest for what little you get in drops.

A lot of the fun has been taken out of this game for me!

 

Me too having to wait for like 10-12 hours to harvest for drops is pants

 

Game does not yield promised results. Lobsters from premium and deluxe lures in good and perfect spots.
Game team calling players liars because the game, according to them, is not malfunctioning.

Random results, got better results from weak spots than from perfect spots.

Waiting game, only pens with a long time are giving the needed items and after half a day waiting you can fish maybe 3-4 times if lucky. No fun there.

 

Just to clarify, I am less inclined to think the results are truly random as that there is some factor such as transmission speed or some other factor that is skewing the results for some people. However, I have no way to verify that, its just my opinion.

 

Terrible drops make the event pointless

 

terrible drops again for this type of game. waiting for long time pens and crops just to have a couple of goes at fishin makes this event boring and not worth doing. im not even going to bother with trying to achieve the stalk row. just feels like this is aimed at making people spend serious money

 

There is a great improvement from the first fishing event to this one. The event items are not randomly won (or rather randomly lost) but we struggle to earn them for sure just like any other event. And at least, it may be strenuous but it seems much more fair to earn them as a result of a progress and not as a lottery.

However, catching a lobster or a mackerel (the lowest fishes) in areas that we are not supposed to catch with premium and deluxe lures is really sad.
But what I consider insulting is giving an in-game wrong FAQ and disregard completely the complaints of the players that have low results not in the FAQ (many of them REAL customers) telling that "there's nothing wrong with the FAQ, it is supposed to be like that". It's insulting!!! Once again...

The Last Fishing Event..it was more Random to win Certain Prizes as The Cloud Row required Three Giver Items. Many Farmers was unable to win all Three.

Hence to why it was chance get these items by spending coins won to buy items from the Store. Which is must better and fairer method as the Randomness it based on Luck no matter how hard you Try !!

But Talking of Randomness that we have been duped that Deluxe Lure would give us better skills to Catch a Marlin compared to Fishing lure or Premium Lure, Which is Big Let Down should use concept of Mach O Meter Turn This Fishing Event into a Fun Fair Event which we did have about 4 years ago which was Brilliant Love that kind of Event to Come Back Please Please Please !!!

What i love about this Event to used Earned Coins to go to the Store to Buy anything you like in Miscellaneous Section. It is Great to see to be able to Purchase an Chocolate Receipe. As you should have included a Chocolate Syrup Receipe too. I like to see this Feature in Future Events. As I am still seeking couple reciepes as we can no longer Win on The Wheel in the Past. This is Great for Newbies who missed out getting these Receipe

I love The Fishing Graphics...but it seem to still an using flash playing this Game as there is Pause at least 10 Seconds to know which Fish i have Won !!!

Also it is good we get the Chance to Place our Stables and Workshops and Crops which Helped with Event Drops...But I find using Trees too Time Consuming and very boring long Waits to obtain Metal Discs. It is a Big Help to help us stock up on Stables and Workshops

Sometime Growing Event Crops can get very Boring..this time it something Different. But the Biggest Let Down was Catching Fishes with Perfect Catches getting lower Value Fishes or Bad Catches getting Good Fishes...IT DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE according to FAQ !!

 

Well, I really like this event. I enjoyed the fishing last time but this time is even better as we get to choose what we spend the coins on. To be able to complete the cloud row and buy such good miscellaneous items is brilliant !
Fishing in RL is a bit hit and miss which is what this is - certainly not too easy to get a good catch but fun. If it was too easy it would be boring. I agree with others here, that the drops are not very good particularly for the metal discs and feathers. OK, don't make it too easy but it does spoil the fun a bit when the drop items needed are just not turning up Lack of drops does not tempt me to buy the items with BBs, although saying that I may do so if at the end I am one lure short !
This event is different, no crops , fishing is great and prizes excellent. Thumbs up for me.

I really do like the event, although it still needs tweaking. I certainly want to thank you for giving us the option of completing the cloud row from the last fishing event-that also needed tweaking-great save I am not even going to get into the poor feather drop rate, but I want to add that I do see improvements from the last event, and I am sure the next one will have more...pssst drop rate

 

Luv the graphics, luv being able to pick my rewards, hate the drop rate and there are some technical errors that I have outstanding issues on. I'm waiting to see how they are resolved.

Great attempt at a newly revised game, not good on the delivery, lousy on feedback.

 

Positive: Love the available prize items and also that we can choose which ones we want. Love that an event crop is not needed. Nice graphics. Would love for this event to become a Farmarama regular event. Like that premium and deluxe lures allow you to catch more than one fish.

Negative: Type of fish caught seems to be random versus skill. I have nothing against receiving random catches but it is stated that the type of fish caught is based on the area of the circle you stop at and the type of lure you use. This just isn't so. I was "dead center" as shown in your diagram and still received the smallest fish even though a different time I received the Marlin with the same lure and stopping in the same place - "dead center". There have been other instances of this with different types of fish.

 

Like many others I love the graphics, the lack of event crop, and the fact that we can choose what to do with our winnings. And the chance to pick up items from a past event that we might be missing - this is a nice feature.

As has been stated, fishing in real life is a random thing. I have no problem with this game being random, too, except that it was stated that it was more of a skill thing, and it most certainly is not - I received several marlins with bad hits, and the lower fish with excellent hits.

As has also been stated, I want to spend my time FISHING, not waiting for my pens to mature. I have no objection to making it a little tough to get the really great prizes, but spending all day waiting for pens, so I can make another handful of lures, is aggravating. I realize that there needs to be some challenge - but when level 90+ players are struggling to get enough lures, something is not quite right.

 

I agree with the low drop rate, especially for the lure feathers which are needed for all three types of lures. I have plenty of hooks and the metal discs are not too bad, but I get so few feathers that I can only make a few lures each day.

I like that we can choose the prizes we want to buy with the rewarded coins, but I just purchased the recipe for the chocolate pancakes only to find that I also need to have chocolate syrup which I can buy for 53BBs but there is no way to obtain the recipe which apparently was available in 2011 but not available any longer. It doesn't seem fair to offer a recipe that will cost the player so much that it is utterly useless. So it would be nice to either have the opportunity to buy the recipe for the syrup or to put something in the description what the ingredients would be. It would have saved me 80 coins I could have used for something else that I can actually use.

 

Not complaining here but I made one of each of the lures...my result on the premium, I got a lobster, on the deluxe, an octopus, and the regular one I got a blowfish. and I did get the green ring. I didn't finish the last time this was played and I doubt I'll be finishing it this time, So for me it's business as usual and the final hours of the event I'll check and see what I've got for drops and do them in the mill, then I'll click..randomly on the circle.
what I get is what I get, so my expectations will be low. I read the strategy feeds and it all would be good if the percentile of lure=Fish was spot on, but it's all random. Using a premium lure and getting a mackerel wouldn't be nice if you had your heart set on a better value fish I guess. Is there a secret to getting more lures to drop?

 

Having participated in the last event I was expecting that where I landed would have no impact on my results and consequently I am neither surprised nor disappointed. I love that you get to choose your own prizes - much better idea than randomly winning items. I love that we can have the chocolate pancake recipe; great, but without the recipe for chocolate syrup it is unlikely many people will be able to make them as chocolate syrup is now far too pricey.

 

I loved the event and completed it.
I was lucky to get a Mountain Juniper, Nectarine and a Pink Donkey Stable.

 

Drop balance with 69 event hours to go.

And I seriously tried to balance this... with what I put out on the farm.
