Please post your constructive comments, positive and negative, regarding the Piece of Cake Event in this Feedback thread. We are looking forward to capturing your initial reaction to the event, as well as the final opinion after participating in the event.

Please be sure to bring arguments for supporting your statements, simple comments saying you like it or hate it will not help the Team understand what goes great, and what needs to be looked into, when planning future events.

The FAQ of the Event can be found here. If you have any questions, please use the General Issues section or the Technical Issues section for technical problems - this thread is for feedback only. Thank you for understanding.

We are looking forward to your feedback!

At first glance, I would request that the FAQ be revised to reflect the correct level of requirements. It may be possible to grow event crops and begin milling the drops but the 2nd step alone (rhubarb) is a level 10 crop. Geese are level 32 so players would not be able to breed/buy the colored geese unless they were level 32. It would make it easier if players could see what level a requirement is and make a plan to 'go around' that step.

    Hello puppiesnponies,

We appreciate your request, but the chart is correct - the minimum level for each tile as well as for participating in the event is 2, since every tile can be insta-finished with BBs. Players can purchase the meringue or pay for finishing that particular tile despite not reaching the needed level for growing a certain crop, so the minimum required level is 2.
    Best regards,

Looks good and an exciting change as the candles are a new idea to me. FAQ reads quite complicated but that is normal considering we cant look at the layout of the event on screen. The last event we had requiring the mixing of different products in the mill I found very enjoyable. Older players can win a lot but even newbies can get a some good prizes. I am looking forward to the blowing out of the candles which is different and very appropriate for a birthday event, I am sure players will enjoy that part. It is hard to imagine how the tiles will look but the explanation is logical. I like the crop, can we keep it as we have a lack of 5, 6 and 7 hour duration crops in the game? All in all it seems to offer something for all players, the graphics look amazing and there is plenty to do to participate, e.g. not just growing but mixing different products. I cant see anything that needs changing.

FAQ is clear; start at the bottom tile and work your way around the top of the cake homing in on the candles which give repeat prizes. Mixing and growing instructions are straightforward. Looks good and very different.

Hi, nice to see you schlewi, I "know you" from reading the German forum :) The English forum works a bit differently. We discuss the event in the strategy thread, here in this thread we mainly leave feedback for the game team. So your post is better suited for the strategy thread :)

Thank you for giving us the year we started playing (cake). Time passes when you are having fun (FOCD)!! I always forgot my year. When I asked last year ( it seemed like a real chore to get the answer from BP). And you made it earn EP, Thanks! :)

Thanks Teddy for letting me know I could share the info about mainland water for milling chickpea paste even if milling in the Baha mill on the forum. I wasn't sure at the time if that was julie's issue so that is why I sent an IGM. :) Just glad it worked out.

Thank you all for the feedback provided so far, and -Mir85- for the guidance :) !
    Hello BlackCaviar,

Thank you once again :) We are waiting for a clarification from the Game Team if this was intended - if it changes to using tropical water though, we will let you all know.
Best regards and good luck with the candles to all of you,

My last event's feedback was so negative that I'd like to leave a much positive one this time:

Although not always on good terms between us both, I want to say thank you Farmerama for being here throughout these 6 years. And being here for me, for more than 5 years now. Don't always like everything you do (sometimes quite the opposite), but I didn't regret ever (well, maybe once or twice...) being here for you, too! Happy 6th anniversary, sweetie!

About the event, I have to say it seemed kind of complicated in the beginning. But once I figured out, I kinda liked it. Especially, these new additions of cool-down prizes every 8 hours. Please, let's do that again more often, shall we?
As for the requirements (roosters, tortoises, greylag geese)... well, didn't see that coming. But every now and then, it's good to put a little extra and make those wonder stuff seem actually useful.

    Overall, well done!!!

I am really enjoying this event. Its a bit complex, requires some rare animals, along with regular stuff. Its definitely not a good event for newer players, but I don't think every event should be.

The only negative (and its minor) is that I wish the colors of the frosting were a tad darker, or that the label for the items showed along with the picture. Its a tad difficult for these old eyes to distinguish them. Not impossible, but a tad difficult.

I am loving this event .... coming together nicely .... have my cloud row up and running .... my only one slight grumble would be the red and orange colours look very much alike to my eyes lol ... could just be my eyes getting old i guess *grinz*

Liked the cake goodies are always a smile.
Set up easy to get and nice to work.
Only thing, Why does the cake have sound when I have all the sound effects off? scared me as I could not figure out were the music was coming from, I got a chance to watch a dvd so turned my sound on the comp. and then the music was over playing my dvd, I went on a mad search thinking I bought a bad dvd and just knowing I threw away the receipt how about a sound button? I was all over this thing trying to find a leak and some ad got on, didn't think of the game as I have all sound off, till I found it was the cake with a pipe in the parlor. o_OI had the cake up as I had like 45 min. to blow out the candle and didn't want to forget.

Love everything about this event. The setup is new and adorable. The drop rate is good. The event crop requirements are not outrageous. I love the repeat blowing out of candles, and the fact that there are multiple chances for some things, and multiple ways to get there, and that the most challenging requirements are not necessary to progress - players can choose whether or not to do the step. I also like that rare animals come into play - I know some people may not like that, but it was five and ten of them, not huge amounts, also the rare tree fruits.

The birthday giver according to year is a very nice touch. I've been playing almost five years, every day, how time flies.

As has been stated before, the red and orange meringue colors are a little difficult for those of us past our teens (lol) to discern. Perhaps in the future they could just be brighter. I made red, thinking that's what I needed, when I actually needed orange. Sigh.

All in all though, a huge thumbs up and hope to see this event dynamic repeated!

Nice event with good prizes and respectable donation requests. I have not been disappointed in the drops and like having all fields open to the event crop. The cool-down prizes are a nice touch!

Charming graphics - but I must add my agreement to the color distinguishing issue between orange and "red" meringues. A definite color difference needs to be implemented in future events using colors.

I like the birthday giver; it's good that players are rewarded for how many years they have been with the game.

    I have enjoyed this event!:)

I am loving this, once I got my head around it! Something new and different is always good.

My only tiny 'complaint' is the red and orange not being very different (to my old eyes at any rate).

Thumbs up for this one. Happy Anniversary.
