Try to press ctrl, + at the same time(the + as many times as you need). This is how you can zoom in if you can't find what flwrsndnc suggested.

flwrsndnc (and all the rest of you who have windows 10), I've been wondering how you like the windows 10 OS? I can't decide (as usualxD) whether to take the free upgrade for my laptop, which is currently 7. I've been following the technical questions threads, and a lot of the farmers who are having difficulties, they seem to have started after they upgraded to 10. I'm also concerned my printer won't work with my computer anymore if I upgrade (it's several years old, pre-10 OS). I'm completely computer ignorant and am looking for any advice anyone has to offer.

wolfie, I feel your pain. Recently discovered that the fuzziness when I try to read something small goes away when I put on a pair of those magnifying glasses you find in the pharmacy :pxD. My husband chuckles at me when he sees me in them, because I always swore I'd never wear that type of glasses, would get prescription, but eyes not bad enough to need prescription...yet.

Good question Spots. I'd like to hear others input on this. I'm using a Laptop with 8.1 and I love it, no problems, I'd really hate to mess it up.

Wolfseyesone did you resolve your computers text size?
Spotsbox I too have delayed my windows 10. Not because of compatibility concerns, but because of possible bugs that need ironing out. I have decided to wait and let it mature a bit and see how Microsoft responds to improvements. Windows 10 Looks promising though!! I wonder how long the Windows 10 upgrade will stay "Free" ?

I have upgraded to Windows 10 - a big mistake as far as I can see so far... my main issue is emails (and no longer having an address book) but I also have many problems changing fields on here BUT didn't realise it could be because of Windows 10.... and
Wolfseye try as Arielh said control+ but I also think the Windows sybol and plus might have worked for me but not sure... Good luck

I have experience with all three (7, 8 & 10). My favorite is 7, which I would not upgrade. My laptop at home came with windows 8, which I strongly disliked, so that one I have upgraded to 10. As far as I am concerned windows 10 is a big improvement on 8. I don't have a touchscreen so I don't know what works best with that.

Glad your problem got cleared up, wolf, being as computer challenged as I am, I know how frustrating things like that are.

Also, thanks for all the input on my question about Windows 10. I'm pretty sure I'm just going to leave my laptop as is. It works well (most of the time), and I'm a believer in if it ain't broke, don't fix it, lol. Plus, it's about 4 1/2 years old, and I'm guessing I'll be needing a new one sooner rather than later, so I'll end up with 10 one way or another.

Hey Spots, one of my brothers upgraded to windows 10 and I have heard nothing but complaints about it. I use a MAC myself so I only half listened to them. I do know it locked up his old computer and in order to "fix" the problem he had to download something. Well he couldn't download anything since the computer was locked. I know he spent hours on the phone with a tech over that one. He had to buy a new computer as it was less expensive than trying to fix the old one. Then he discovered that he also had to buy a new printer. He was as mad as an old wet hen to say the least.
Now I'm not computer savvy but that seems like a bad system upgrade to me. :p

    Hi all,
    Thanks Arielh

    spots,
Only some problems have cleared up with this laptop, I wish everything was running smooth, but it isn't:sleepy: Luckily I was gifted another laptop the year after I received this one, That baby is for "work" stuff only.. no playing fun on it..ever..never ;)xD Just gotta luv family and the gifts they provide at times.
At least the text size is fixed, for now:pI am right there with you when it comes to challenges! Ahhh The computer & I....
I push the button and want it to work, that's allxD Can't it ever be on my side for once...hehehe

I now know those "reading" glasses you we're mentioning!! I got me a pair and I despise them.. Was always a contact kinda girl but when the eyes changed the glasses came out.. Glasses ugh, they leave those indentations on the bridge of your nose...
    what's a wolf to do?!

LDCrow, sorry to hear of your brothers windows 10 problem, is he sure it was windows 10 that caused the problem?
well I am sure the expense of having to begin again mad him upset , rightly so but is he now liking his new computer set up?

Wolfey, he was sure it was windows 10 as it went down directly after the download. I honestly don't want to listen to the rant again or I would ask him what the specifics were. He likes the new system fine he got to lose the old tower so he has more space. Only thing he said he didn't like was the keyboard and mouse. The keyboard keys were to small for him (he has enormous hands and fingers) and the mouse was wireless and didn't respond the way he wanted it to. Other than that it all seems fine that is to say he hasn't spent any time complaining about it so he must be pleased. xD

*sigh* Piece of advice...never come to the forum when cooking bacon, unless you like it well done.:p VERY well done!:wuerg:xD

LD, that's another thing that worries me about doing the upgrade. I know there's been problems with computers older than 2013 being completely compatible with the new 10 OS, and mine is 2011. So that just reinforces my thoughts on leaving my laptop as is.:)

So, wolfie, do you "work" only on your new laptop? I think farming qualifies as hard work, harvesting those fields day in and day out, feeding the animals, swamping the pens...;)xD

lol, spots I had to get used to burnt bacon early on, for just that reason. so now I kinda like it, crispy , yum.
no, don't use the new one much my hands are to big for the tiny keyboard xD one day I will though.
yes farming is hard work, I see and hear about the challenges my brother goes through, and still he persists. I give him credit.
so back to windows 10 os, I'm tired of getting the pop up so maybe I'll just click it and be done.
