Piece-of-Cake Strategy

Think you maybe right Doc about opening LL ...most of the events i have played in just lately... my drops have been pathetic and no where near what other people are getting ... So that will be my project in getting that finished ...i enjoy doing the events makes the game more interesting ...but without drops they can be extremely frustrating

LOL Cassie have been there and done that with the Red and Orange meringues on the first day of the event and now look about 6 times to make sure... my nic should have been Justine Case

3rd - 9th February: Carnival Layer Event

Well done TC that's great and well done for finishing

Nothing from the trees that i haven't got already ... but that's ok ...maybe there will be an event wanting fruit from them sometime in the future

 

Got a bit too chickpea happy and grew and extra 3000 accidentally! ps. I've just got to get enough pastry bags for 8 orange meringues and I have completed the event; been selling grapefruit, poop, strawberries and breeders for silly money, so I just managed to but the necessaries and build a pink crow roost .

 

Congrats on the Pink crow roost TC The sales have been nice in this event.
I'm finished, I got my red and orange mixed up too. My baby farm is just waiting on drops for 5 more blue ones and it will be done.

 

near perfect grow, only 24 chickpea left, just mill my last blue meringues .
the whole cake will be decorated. & the the whole event will done .
the only thing left is lit the candles on time



edit: I nearly forget my wonder stables & tree. need to put them out

 

My wonder stables weren't anything special. I got: 2 Frog ponds, 1 orange cowshed, 1 red Fish pond, and 1 Hedgehog stall.

My trees were: 1 Kowhai tree, 1 XXL Beech tree, 2 XXL Apricot tree, and 1 XXL Maple tree.

My island trees were: 1 XXL Banana palm, 1 XXL Royal Poinciana, 1 XXL Guava, 1 XXL Brazil nut, and 1 XXL Coconut palm.
Somewhat disappointed in the stables, but some nice trees.

A note totally off the subject of farming. For any music lovers tonight, Saturday, at 8:00 p.m. eastern USA time on CNN there is a special about the true history of the band, 'The Eagles'.

 

I don't like them either Clash, not since reading Stephen King's book It.

Almost finished the event, just 8 orange meringues to go.

 

I got a late start to the event, ok really late. I started at about 10 pm PST last night. I have been sick with a flu or something, finally don't feel like I cough up two lungs. I have got the cloud row, lit the first candle at the bottom, lit the powerfeed candle, I'm low, I need it. I am probably going to do 24, 27 and 28 to get the givers and access to last candle, light all candles and hopefully get the blow out giver. Not sure about drops, but so far I have about 150 with those I mentioned left. Not holding my breath on drops or crops.

I just hope with the way I've been feeling that I don't need 12+ hours sleep, will screw up my plans.

 

But that green should also be in a bolder color, so, not to mistake it with the blue.

 

baw - I'm so sorry you've been under the weather. I hope you feel better soon! Good luck on finishing! Since you have limited time...I would suggest avoiding tile #30 (it needs 10 blue meringue). Do #24 & 27 to get to the top candle instead.

baw, I hope you feel better soon!! I just finished. Only left the tiles with animals and grapefruit(don't have that tree) To me personally the rewards for those tiles just don't justify for me using those animals. There's still lots of time left for those still working it

 

Got everything I wanted from the event, now the real challenge starts:

Fight FOCD and not finish the last three tiles! ​

I'm done with all that I can do. RL has been nutzoid, and I still have one square on the cake taunting me. However it's TEN blue meringues, and it's for the extra clown. It would be nice to have it for trade (I'm with several other people, obviously, I HATE clowns) but I just don't have the time.

Thanks to all the wonderful farmers who helped me to get this far! I never would have gotten enough drops. I think now that I finally got to level 5 in the Confectionery, I'm going to finish the last trophy in my LL rune if it kills me.

Which it may well do.

That FOCD force is stronger than most of us recognize

This has been an odd Event for me, I really liked it but due to work I've been all over the place it seems.

Normally I would grow all the "junk" and collect all the drops before handing anything in. That way I'm sure to have enough. This time I milled some orange, blue or reds, grew a few chickpeas here and there, and hoped for the best.
This Hippie-style of farming is definitely not for me - I'm lost

But no worries I will finish. Best of luck to all that are still working on the Event!

Mir - I am refraining from the last 3 tiles too! To be sure that I don't give in to FOCD and to give me time to deal with real life, my entire farm is covered in trees.

Me too. I just need 32 drops to finish the last tile on the main farm. What is fascinating to me - my little farm, which didn't take down any trees, never took down the best stables and workshops and used comfort fields for most of this event is two tiles away from finishing! Definitely has me considering I overthink things on the main farm. So much time spent as I completely stripped to 1x1s to grow chickpeas for a few rounds.
