    Now for some General Knowledge:
    Amaranth
    [IMG] [IMG]

We will be growing the red one.

Amaranth is Spinach’s lesser cousin. (You got to eat your spinach Baby ;) ). There are different types of amaranth. Here in our parts amaranths (known as "Mulai keerai") find place in our diet routinely as 'green leaves'. Hailed as the next ‘wonder grain’ in the Western World today, Amaranth has been cultivated in Mexico, India and Argentina, for over 8000 years now. The Amaranth grain, once the staple food of the Aztecs, was described by Science magazine as the “crop of the future”, having higher protein, iron and calcium content, with grains that can be grown at much lesser cost.

It was a major food crop of the Aztecs, and some have estimated amaranth was domesticated between 6,000 and 8,000 years ago. Annual grain tributes of amaranth to the Aztec emperor were roughly equal to corn tributes. The Aztecs didn’t just grow and eat amaranth, they also used the grains as part of their religious practices.

    Aztecs
    [IMG]
The Aztecs are a tribe from Aztlan somewhere in the north of modern Mexico. From this place, which they leave in about the 12th century AD, there derives the name Aztecs by which they are known to western historians. Their own name for themselves is the Mexica, which subsequently provides the European names for Mexico City and Mexico.

In 1810 Alexander Von Humboldt originated the modern usage of "Aztec" as a collective term applied to all the people linked by trade, custom, religion, and language to the Mexica state and the Triple Alliance.

I can't answer this question. Seriously I do not know what to answer. :pSo I am passing it to the Farmerama developers.

Don't start cleaning. Too much of food(feed) is not good for heath. Eh? May be you have luck with the animals. Try clearing them for a change. Yes the one in your hand right now. It will be the next. Guessed it ???

    Its a game.
The monkey queen will be throwing out candy and you have to move the basket from right to left to get as many as you can.

Well if it's Aztec's they don't have anything to do with Mardi Gras but they did traditionally have spring festivals. Pretty much everything was based around crops, plantings and harvest they were fairly brutal as well as human sacrifice was a prominent part of the rituals.

Let's hope the only "sacrifices" we have to make are from our barns. ;)

What is said in Grapevine for the Carnival event Carnival Event
    Scheduled for February

    Crop : amaranth
Drops : Paper and basket. Paper from crops and trees. Baskets from animal pens and workshops.
Mill products : flour and paper pulp

The prize will include a volcano and 2 other items.
The story will revolve around Monkey Queen. You have to fill the basket with Chocolates, Lollipops and Chocolate bars. You progress each step to reach the Goddess to receive your gift
I'll be really good at getting the choccies into that basket ....NOT :wuerg:xD
Wonder what the pulps for...thought it might be beads ...but they are made of wood

Going to stock up on wheat etc ...if we are milling flour

I THINK we might be making Papier Mache with the flour and with the pulp paper to make Pinatas...BUT could be wrong ;)

    I agree Farmer Lily
Many events in a short space of time isn't great and isn't giving us enough time to stock up on what we need for these events....

It will come to the point when not many of us will do them soon ... prices in the market aren't helping us to buy things for events anymore or to stop us from ripping our farms apart to do them

Maybe if they gave us a couple of weeks or so in between events .... we might not get so stressed
And would probably be better for the new people to the game... can't be easy for them ?

This event is like the fishing event ...so looks like farmerama are now making sets of formats (or Whatever they are called ) adapting them for different events and bringing them out faster

The Mardi Gras bear isn't new .... I have stage 1 and 2 of that on my clouds
Will be able to finish part 3 now... has only taken X amount of years to complete that event LOL

***FAQ is out for the Event***

Off to put a new printer on ...that's going to be fun NOT :wuerg:xD

If i am obligated to use animal pens for this event, for the drops, i'm skipping it. I still don't see any real CC items, so unless I find one of those to be a prize, i'm not playing this round.

    8) Skipping this event...too close to the last one, and I'm burned out! Just finished this last one with 6 minutes to go, and did not get the extra givers. Too many crops!!!!:sleepy::sleepy:-.- But I had approx. 500 drops leftover, plenty to have finished everything. But Not Enough Crops!!

I like the events...but I like my farm, too...and do not want to have to keep destroying it every time there is an event...which seems like every few days now.

Just my opinion, but would be interested to know if anyone else shares it...??

Lily, I completly understand why you don't want to "destroy" your farm. It takes so much time putting it back together:sleepy: If I like the rewards I will take part in this event too because I can't resist getting colorful items, especially in that confetti volcano:music:

I don't like destroying my farm either but I get bored really fast waiting for trees, crops and animals.
Or perusing the marketplace. I like to be busy doing something...I like the events ALOT!
I like the prizes and the cloud rows and the whole ...am I gonna make it in time? Will I get the drops?
(ok~ its just a little stressful lolol)
But oh so much FUN :inlove:
maybe it's because I'm still so new to the game ....

They announced the increase in events a while back. They were roughly once a month or so, I think (?), with some extras here and there. Every week or more is a lot. I and others complained about it in feedback, but the developers made the decision to stay with frequent events. Personally, I think they were going off some bad information they got from some consultants and surveys, but its not my operation, so.....
Anyway, yeah.. you are not the only one, not by far. Also, as you see above, some people do like the.
