    Illy, thank you so much for creating the SOS page. They were invaluable when my farms were young. After reading your post and rereading the FAQs I understand why you have set the SOS for paper. If this event is similar to previous ones even though I might struggle to get the baskets, the paper is essential to getting to the mini game. I am changing my original game plan and will start the event gifting paper. I dusted off all of my longest workshops and stables, so I am hoping to start with a good number of baskets.

    Thank you everyone for the strategy tips, I am looking forward to the Carnival. Remember to gift early and often!

    Yes pretty much although we just use "at" instead of "after" but it means the exact same thing. :)

    Thanks Mooboy for the lovely layout of a complicated event! It's really super helpful.

    JJ I hope you feel better soon! :inlove:

    I have no plans to rip out my glade and rainforest again. I just got them back together after all. ;) I usually do not ever use them for events other than reaping drops from the trees, stables and workshops I keep on them. It is possible to do these events and not use them for crops you just have to have a bit of patience. I don't finish as early as some farmers but I do always finish the events. This last event I chose to clear them mostly because they both needed an overhaul and it was beneficial to move quickly on the event to reap more rewards from the candles.

    For now I have a good mix of trees, long term stables/workshops and will plant refined carnations for the overnight. I usually get between 130 to 140 drops from this at 27% on my trophies. I can't decide if I really need to finish off the last 3 steps of the animal trophy or not. I hate the thought of giving up so many valuable animals and since I do finish events without having to use the SOS thread it feels unnecessary.

    To help you plan what crops/pens/workshops/trees to grow prior to the event, here's a timetable in CEST. Planting ahead and harvesting once the event started will get you drops! Max it out by harvesting at 14:01 tomorrow!

    Harvesting at a later time? Do the math, this is only an example set for 14:01

    Start growing at/best result
    20:01 -> 18 hrs crops/XL trees
    21:01 -> 17 hrs crops
    22:01 -> 16 hrs crops
    23:01 -> 15 hrs crops
    00:01 -> 14 hrs crops
    01:01 -> 13 hrs crops
    02:01 -> 12 hrs crops/XXL trees
    03:01 -> 11 hrs crops
    04:01 -> 10 hrs crops
    05:01 -> 9 hrs crops
    06:01 -> 8 hrs crops
    07:01 -> 7 hrs crops
    08:01 -> 6 hrs crops
    09:01 -> 5 hrs crops
    10:01 -> 4 hrs crops
    11:01 -> 3 hrs crops
    12:01 -> 2 hrs crops
    13:01 -> 1 hr crops

    I think you would be mildly surprised on the Carnival quest if you were to bite the bullet and complete the LL Rune.
    This comes in handy from having to lug the trophies around from field to field and having dedicated spots not growing Junks.
    Please consider...

    Oh no Banjoman I completed the LL rune long ago. I agree it was absolutely vital for me as I HATED having to remember to move trophies. What I mean is I still have the last 3 steps (13,14 and 15) to complete on the animal trophy to put my combined LL at 30%.

    When I did the math based on using Pandas at 700ev each it would take 1745 pandas to complete step 13. (Not that I would use pandas but it was a way for me to put into perspective just how many animals I was looking at.) That just seems to be a crazy loss of lots and lots of animals when I'm already getting the drops I need.

    I'm in the same place with the trophies LDCrow, and haven't pushed ahead for the same reason. However, I decided to chip away at the next level by occasionally tossing in one of the animals I chose for the "black hole". One day I will move up!:)

    I rarely pull down my rainforest/glade trees & favorite stables either. The mix I have seems to work well, and the drops are usually enough to finish without strain. Of course, each event is different - who knows, things may have to change for this one.
    Just realized I forgot to say thanks for the nice figures Mooboy!:oops: You always do such a nice job!:)

    I think the paint (buckets) are the ones needed, to be found in the barn under tools. The paint palettes look like the real ones (a plates will different colors on it and a hole to hold it).

    Look in the farmers society quest called FRESH COAT ...does that look like a palette?.... i don't think so ..it looks like a brush to me .... it is why i asked the question.... when the word TOOLS was mentioned in the FAQ
    I know what a palette looks like ...i have one;)

    Yes i think we need the pots of paint Dienstag
    AND I cannot paint pictures either LOL ...I use it for a different purpose...I am renovating a dolls house...it's easier to carry around then a big tin of paint

    Please, neighbors, don't send gifts until the event starts when you can gift drops!

    FYI The panda is not a bad animal to contribute in order to increase animal trophy % which increases the CHANCE of drops. If producing an animal for this purpose there are several other factors to consider. If purchasing in the market, the most efficient way in order to maximize cc use benefits is to use the cost to EV ratio. There is no other more efficient way. Depending on the cost to EV ratio, which one would want the lowest, the panda is good today while in the future the animal of choice may change.

    As this is the start of another event I do sell to animal trophy workers regularly and now is the time for me. The cost to EV ratio is considered before making very large offers and staying clear of the 1, 2, 10, 20, 100's. With that said, sometimes I will even place a substantial offering in an animal that is bad to take advantage of the unknowing on inefficient.

    The achievement of the LL rung does not in itself maximize the trophies.

    How many drops increase can one expect? There are too many farm specific variable to say exactly. Good luck in your efforts.

    I have a question...what animal pens/workshops and trees
    do you recommend having out during this event?
    I am level 73 if that helps
    Thanks :)

    oops. My mistake, it is a paintbrush that they call paint palette.
    It takes to long to make some, so I ignore the farmers society. But still, I think the "bucket" is needed. It is a usual drop like sugar and tools.

    (the only thing I can paint are stick people and palm trees. And the pencil is more than sufficient for that)

    Take a look at this link it should help. In general you get better drops based on time so longer grow times should yield higher drops.

    Well, maybe and more likely, maybe not.

    Mill requirement

    Some of us are playing the BAHA animal feed market, and others, a bit more harder these days. I do not recommend using the BAHA mill at all for this event. I am not allowing farmers to buy parrot feed from the market and turn hugh profits in the poo market. (For instance, there are 80 parrot feed offers on this market and the low is over 1,100.)

    Some are attempting to use rabbits, goats, and turkey pens also due to the time being close to harvesting the event crop. No feed? For sure the market I am on is not the place for cheap feed, find something else to do.

    How do we get the prices down then.... by NOT buying from it ?
    The prices i have seen for feed at the market ...i started milling my own
    Put out animal pens last event to make manure for my carnations because of the price of it
