Latest Info for Preparation for Carnival Event

    • Use Howie Donuts Boost your Drops of Paper Slips, Candy Baskets and Paint Tools
    • Nuke Amaranth Crops to get Good Start to Seeding Amaranth
    • Use Dropper Paint Refinement on Hops and Gerbera Crops
    • Nuke Amaranth on Baha/Rainforest First
    • While Waiting to Build Amaranth Crops Grow Gerbera Crops on Main Fields to Gain Paints for Float Quests
    • Growing Amaranth has Priority over Growing Stables/Workshops as Need to Collect Paper Slips to Complete Three Float Staged Quest First !!
    • When Unlocked all Three Float Stages, Growing Stables/Workshops Becomes a Priority to Obtain as Many Candy Baskets as you can ...Rewards is Limitless !! From Mini Game
    • Producing Stables and Workshops will Drain Animal Feeds Quicker than you can Mill Especially Island Mill Therefore Animal Feeds will get very Pricey
    • Beware some Animal Feeds will Exceed Price of Animals in the Markets. as it make sense to grow Stables/Workshops based on Cheaper Animal Feeds/Animals
    • Try Use Orange/Red/Pink Stables it more Cost Effective than Normal/Yellow/Classic Stables
    • Use Cloud Rows than Reduce Stables/Workshop Times
    • Use Cheese Balls/Valentine Pots Buffs Reduce Stable Times
    • Use Church Bouquet/Guava Jam Buffs Reduce Workshop Times
    • Use Pinkie Pie Pie to Get 30% More out of your Consumed Buffs
    • Try Avoid Idle Times of your Mills as you wont be able to Mill Enough Animal Feeds but will be needing to Mill Paper Mache and Amaranth Flour Too
    • If not got Living Legend Rune Unlocked Move your Animal/Crops Trophies Before Harvesting your Fields
    • Send Paper Slips to Neighbours/Buddies First, Then Candy Baskets later during this Event !
Good Luck Enjoy This Event ;)

Thank you Mooboy for the Preparation for Carnival Event

Have just harvested everything on my farm and got 83 paper strips ...3 of these people kindly sent me ... so i got a grand total from my farm of 80 xD and that was from

MANY many trees ... pens workshops ... 2 fields of refined carnations with water and manure With 4 Howie Do nothings ....And 20 baskets

And don't think i can be bothered with this anymore with working my butt off and getting nowhere ;) ALL the last events have been the same from long growing trees and long timed workshops..

It is impossible to get two harvests of carnations with water and manure and long growing trees... stables and workshops in twenty four hours to possibly get 140 to 160 paper strips ....unless you buy power feed etc etc and without movies giving us BB's ...you cannot buy them...
Well you can with RL money ...but am not prepared to do that for the game i am playing...
Refreshing every few seconds to get to another field and a screen that keeps freezing when i harvest crops I THINK NOT

    Hey !
I am back. My net restored 15 to 20 mins before. Everything is fine now. Just in time for the event.
Got 38 basket and 76 papers....since most of my fields were bare.

JJenks Hope you are better now and get well soon.
Thanks a lot Mooby. I couldn't make head or tail. My whole farm was in shambles. I was concerned about drops from stables/workshops. I had only one farm filled with stables and other with trees. Rest fields were all empty. With lot of tension about this net problem not getting solved and other real life obligations, my brain couldn't grasp anything at all. Now I fell a lot better on reading your above tip. So go for crops first.

Happy with my drops - 133 paper and 26 baskets. :)
Glad you are back in operation 12ss12! Hope the farm gets sorted out quickly.
Love the latest strategy Mooboy! If only I could get one of those elusive requirements!:p Been trying for ages; but maybe lightening will strike in my favor during this event.

Okay ... I nearly bankrupted myself throwing animals at it, but my LL Rune is FINISHED!!! :D:D:D

90 amaranth replanted before work, and I'm off. Only have about 60 papers so far, but I hope that will pick up with the last 1% added to my rune.

    Good luck everybody!! :)

I strongly suggest to send Candy Baskets as gifts along the whole event duration. We really don't know, as of this moment -we have no clue-, how many will be needed to get the minimum stuff once that stage is reached, for those who do.

From what I've seen from all kinds of long-timed workshops and pens, Candy Basket drop rate is NOT generous. Instead, Paper Strips' is. Don't get overconfident to regret that later. (It's less than 50% for 24 hs base time pens....: it can only mean two things: either the requirement will be really low, or it won't, and we'll struggle...).

Needless to say, I'll only send Candy Baskets.

Congratulations. Wish I could have been there to get some of that free money. And you are now the proud owner of an expensive star. It's mandatory for efficient players but the impact will hardly be noticed. Benefits come in several forms and add up over time.

I think there is a whale in these waters. I'm gonna bait that hook with a lot of 800 mice and see. Hereeeee whaley whaley whaley

All these market feed playing antics are done with thoughts of the old days with Mooboy.

    And Mooboy,
Because of your fine strategic presentations to us all,
And because of your patience while I was developing my market playing character,
(And other nonsense I won't mention),

I am been busy today as it is my Fiancee Birthday Today as we Enjoy a Lovely Meal out :D

I am Finally got Home. I managed to get 73 Candy Baskets so far. Initially got 160 Paper Strips, currently got 265 Paper Strips so Far.

I did a count of How Many Paints i would reap during this Event as I am Surprised to get 104 Paints so Far. As it seem we will be getting a good Stock of Paints during this Event. It is Strange that I did not get many Paints from Hops or Gerbera Refinements. So will Take those out replace it with other refinements !!

We keep an eye to see how many Paper Strips we are able to get from Harvesting Amaranths, seem to be getting a decent amount of drops so far

Ok first harvest in and the results - both farms have LL rune to 10 on animals and 13 on crops total 23%
I have been searching market and to buy items tree fruit/crops or animals - beyond my CC bank acct limit
I need 456 pandas to go to the next animal level.

First harvest of the day results:
    Farm1 73 paperFarm2 93 paper
13 paperblueberry glade24 paperoyster mushroom glade
    19 paperblueberry main24 paperblueberry main
15 paperoyster mushroom meadow16 paperblueberry meadow
    12 paperginger 1 baha19 paperginger 1 baha
    14 paperginger 2 baha10 paperginger 2 baha
So new strategy with Altunio's warning
Baha field2 has pandas and camels with trees around edge on both farms to start getting baskets and raising those high ep animals to donate to LL rune - dual purpose
Baha field1 not sure currently growing the amaranth to get numbers up before going to sleep think I will ultimately plant ginger again.
Farm2 - garlic on glade, broccoli on main and sugar beet on meadow - running some chickens to collect poo for the garlic on the meadow
Farm1 - red cabbage on glade, broccoli on main and garlic on meadow

Not sure what else to do to get numbers up no $$ to buy anything - have plenty of paints

The crop trophy is cheaper to maximize than the animal trophy (only considering if one is purchasing). There are benefits one receives from increasing the trophies which those who do not will not see until or if they ever choose. The increase in drops received from trophies is quite small but it does exist. Some regard increasing trophy % as too expensive for the benefits derived. Thus far, maximizing the tophies has not guaranteed one will have sufficient drops to complete an event. If one does not keep fields productive then failure to achieve the drops is very certain but this also depends on other factors. At this time, one does not need trophies maximized to complete events in full.

The choice of paper or basket receipt preference is based on each individual farmer. The reason is because some farms will have difficulty receiving enough paper to have a great chance of receiving the benefits of the basket if/when playing the mini-game. I would imagine that the more experienced farms that know how to maximize paper and can receive the needed drops on their own would prefer baskets. As long as one has a reasonable strategy for animal and production pen use there appears to be no problem.

Assuming one is able to complete the float, which is not automatic, the additional baskets lengthen the ability to play the mini-event and receive the benefits of doing so. One must get there!

One objective of developers is obvious to me, well two. Farmers are slowly being edged toward more difficult events and the growth of 15 gazillion junks is routine now for many. That data is being collected for future event purposes and this includes basket buying behavior of game patrons. The second is to get an idea of how much farmers will go beyond the basic event requirements. And at this time, the more aggressive we as farmers are, the faster we cut our own throats. And this is not the first time this has been done in order to collect the game specific data.

STAR FREQUENCY has been increasing in giveaways. We are given the opportunity to accumulate more during this event. Those without them may wish to consider methods of star acquisition through FSQs also. It appears only a matter of time before new use becomes available.

My first initial harvest I got 110 paper strips, which i was very pleased with.... one field with stalls and workshops and one baha which included some animals as well... more trees in baha than on mainland though. May I ask...... I am missing something or havent figured it out yet... how many candy baskets will be required to finish event? Thank you Mooboy for all your strategy, suggestions and valuable insight.... and for everyone else who helped as well. I really count on these for the events.. Thank YOU!

It depends how good you are at catching candy, Molly! You need 2500 points and the candy has different points allocated to each type:

    Bonbon
    [IMG] [IMG]
    Value: 3 Candy points

    Chocolate bar
    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
    Value: 6 Candy points

    Lollipop
    [IMG] [IMG]
    Value: 10 Candy points

So if you were skillful enough to catch 250 Lollipops, that will be enough to complete that part of the event. Then you can continue collecting candy for extra bonuses. The mini game lasts 25 seconds so, if the game allows, in theory, one Lollipop per second, you would need only 10 Candy Baskets! Of course, this is the dreams of an optimist but hey ho, no law against it lol! Yet! xD

Edit: I have got 95 Candy Baskets so far. Dividing 2500 by 95 gives me 26. So even if I get no more Candy Baskets, I am sure it is do-able ... anyone see a flaw in my theory? :p

Well I just slapped myself in the forehead (I admit at times I am a little slow at realizing things:p:p) but Banjomans' post in general threads yesterday stuck in my head. If the Mauna Candy I, II & III are to be stacked, the Mardi Gras bear I, II, III(although I don't see III listed & asked in general threads a moment ago) must be stacked also:wuerg:-.- I think I will have to rethink about this event and decide what prizes are worth it. I've milled 166 flour so......time to go have my morning tea and cereal and get my brain going for the dayxDxDxD

At the 24 hour stage, this farm has 174 Paper Strips and Chevrefeuille has exactly 150! Considering I had mostly animal pens and just border trees out when the event started, I am happy with that (most of the Paper Strips coming via the event crops). I will finish the crops tomorrow and then put trees out everywhere to maximise the Paper Strip drops. I have animal and production pens in the Glade which should bring me in a few Candy Baskets or I will change my strategy once I have enough Paper Strips. That's my strategy and I'm sticking to it ... well, maybe, ... perhaps! xD
