Carnival Queen Event Strategy

I finally got enough strips to finish the floats.. now for the baskets!

 

52 more paper strips needed....it's like watching paint dry or something. So anxious to join the party but I just have to be patient and let those roses grow I guess. Once I get there I do have over 200 candy baskets so I should be good to go. I have seriously depleted my SG hoard as well so I'm hoping to win some of that back.

 

And what a party it is !! I have finished the 2500 Candy points and am just trying to catch 'other stuff' !!
The basket is quite "wide" meaning that I can position the basket and get 'rim' shots and thankfully, they go in !
I have had a few freezes, especially on the left side of the page, and have found it best to keep my basket
'on-the-move' - it seems like the basket only has to be adjacent to a falling prize for it to 'hop into' your basket.
I think I will be known as El Supreme Turbo Mulch Catcher !!! (oh and edit..101 Golden Bananas so far !)
Thanks for the tip, escalonilla, about watching the Carnival Queen's hands and if I was to do the whole thing over, I would concentrate on 'other stuff' right from the start... you will reach the 2500 almost by accident with more than 50 baskets.....

I'm only 98 more paper strips from joining the party! So close and yet, so far!

Hmmm, finished the Monkey Queen on both farms. Leveled up on Baha at least twice each farm and I had less than 70 but more than 60 when I started and have about 30 left after playing a few times after I finished the chocolates. I really don't like you can't see your mouse so you don't know where it is during the mini game.

 

With that many baskets, I would delete all of my stalls and just keep growing crops and trees. You might think about buying some SG if its at all a possibility.. or BBs so you can get the paper strips. In this case, it will pay off with multitudes of more SG, powerfeed, CC, etc.. so if you are ever able to spend real money, might be the time to do it.

 

Still got 71 Candy Baskets to use and have got lots of stuff. I have 68 GBs and have levelled up 4 times on the island. I think this might be the best event yet.

david, it's not, I've had it off the screen several times, so it is annoying to say the least. I move it all the time, just obviously in the wrong direction without knowing since I can't see my mouse on the screen unless it's off the screen.

 

@baw815 ... I've had pretty good luck dealing with the not knowing where the mouse/cursor is issue by clicking and holding on the basket the whole time I am chasing the goodies. Not sure it will work for you but maybe give that a try?

 

Thanks to some generous friends and neighbors this afternoon, I'm looking so much better on my paper strips today!

I have used about 150 of my baskets so far and already have 725 SG, so I doubt you will have trouble : ) (and somewhere between 225 and 275 powerfeed, too .. cannot remember exactly how many I started with)

 

Geeeeeeze I can't chase goodies and watch The Superbowl at the same time, I'm always missin' something... Guess I better wait til later to dance with the queen, lol

Still need 35 paper strips. I wanted to finish earlier, as it will hard to play the game with my grand daughter grabbing the mouse or wanting to play. but the drops were very low. got 8 with asparagus and less than 20 with carnations. so I will have to try to finish late tomorrow, after grand daughter is home. hopefully, computer will cooperate. I have 151 baskets.
The Farmerama trees gave me no drops in the forest and only 2 strips every time I harvested the island.
I got only 1 or 2 drop too with the trees on the mainland fields . Crops gave somewhat better results. But not great.

 

I am getting closer. I only need 45 more strips. The drops started off so good, but then they just stopped. I'm finding that I too am getting very few drops from the trees, even carnations haven't done very good for me. Hopefully with carnations and coffee, my 2 longest growing time crops, I'll be able to get enough strips in the morning and maybe join the fun.

Is there any time delay between your ability to try to catch items, or can you grab another basket and start catching again?

Still not so happily growin junks here. I think I'll do the not-so-bright thing and grow 3 extra fields of junks to be sure I remember this bad experience.

Still need paper and not worried about a single thing. Plenty of time and under control.

A bonus for me: The neighborhood kids are going to come here and play that little game for me after school.

Mooboy, watching lots of really poor listings on this market. For the life of me, I don't know why farmers will not learn the "lesson of lettuce" and be successful. Up to them! I hope to begin a thread soon and explain it again. I hope you will share your wisdom with us all kind Mayor.

Anyone needing drops, be sure to keep those fields active and don't wait too late to go to the SOS thread. Plenty of time but its ticking away.

And be sure to leave time to play the little game at the end.
