Feedback Farmerama - Game and Features

Just wanted to say that I really like the new breeding pen.

I had stopped doing any breeding because I didn't have space for all the new trees, animal pens and workshops.

Now you should do the same setup for the animal pens and workshops so that will give us more space for crops and trees. I currently took down all my workshops because I simply don't have room; hence, don't do the farmer challenges that require products - which is really too bad.

I was sent here because the Mod felt I didn't ask a question...I did in fact and am very serious about wanting an answer. Here's the post(but first the problem):

I keep getting a notification that my session has expired when trying to log in.

"Is this notification really necessary? It is extremely annoying...especially at night when the room is dark(the wife is sleeping) and it's hard to see the keyboard.

At the very least have it when we log out...not when we are logging in. Common sense already tells our session expired when we are logged out. This feature is totally useless except to annoy us."


Why does this totally useless notification exist?

 

WOW...I have to totally agree...the Alchemist was a waste...should be turned into something else. The Jackpot prize wheel...i already have enough red bats, or the insulting chicken coop...level 95...dont need a chicken coop. So its really not a jackpot. I like the idea of vintage game pieces, more animals, thrown in a pink stale, maybe differeent reds/// Decree has voiced all my issues too...its why i left the game for awhile.
BTW: Do u think anyone is reading this??? ie developers?

Hey elimeno! I do believe someone from BP reads these. Whether it's a developer or someone else, we will never know because they aren't very good at communicating with their customers. Moderators do their best, but it's very clear they aren't very informed with regards to development. This is a great opportunity to transition into another suggestion.

BP NEEDS to have a developer who specifically interacts with the community. There needs to be someone from BP who is willing to sit down and go through the suggestions and RESPOND to them. We understand that some of the suggestions will be utilized and others wont. However, it still stands that there should be more transparency. Someone one from BP should be explaining why they don't want to adopt certain suggestions. Customers need to feel that they are being heard, and right now it feels that the developers have locked themselves in a room and are focused more on "what event comes next" rather than improving the game as a whole. Many successful game companies have a representative just for this purpose. I believe it's time BP do the same.

All the posts are being read, and suggestions are periodically sent to the Game Team, along with complaints and criticism. No feedback goes unnoticed.

We appreciate the suggestion, but the Developers cannot participate in all the forums to interact with the community, explain why they do what they do and why don't they do what they do not do. They would have absolutely no time left for actual development. And I can assure you that our Community Managers as well as our Producer actually reads the forums. However, it is impossible for them to answer everything, everybody is busy with a lot of tasks covered by their job. Also, Farmerama is available in so many languages, it would be impossible to participate in all of them and it would not be too fair towards non-English / non-German speakers either. Everything that has to be communicated from the Team, is being communicated through announcements, as well as the old Producer Newsletters - which explained quite a few things. Therefore, at the moment, moderators collecting everything into reports and forwarding them to the Game Team is the only solution. But we appreciate your suggestion and we hope this isn't too frustrating for you.

An XXL pine tree as the TOP reward on the party ticket wheel???? I know you need to vary the results, but an XXL pear, XXL catawpa and 2 sets of 4 mulch on the same PARTY ticket wheel is a bit much. No way a pine should ever be the TOP prize. EDIT: long time players will mostly just wait for the next day, but newer players might not know... and will later discover the error.

On the other hand, I am among those loving the new breeding houses. Also like that the moonlight field was moved to its own unit. On the line of comments, I think we are getting too many mainland animals and not enough Baha stuff. Plus, I don't think I am the only one who would really like to see some more challenges specific to the higher level players.

 

I really dislike the new feature added to the cloud rows. I sincerely hope this is a bug because it is definitely not an improvement.

 

Too many clicks in the cloud row. If I am clicking on one at a time, it shows what the rewards are, I do not need to see the rewards again after receiving them, this causes me to click again. Very annoying, it was better before.

 

I TOTALLY agree with the new pop up on the cloud rows! There are already too many clicks required to play this game! Now you add another useless feature telling us what we just received from harvesting a cloud row when we already had 1 pop up tell us, or we can just mouse over the CR symbol to see what we are getting from it.
It is really irritating and time consuming. It was a terrible idea. Please get rid of it ASAP! Thank you.

 

The summary is great when using the harvester feature. Really irritating if hand harvesting your rows.

 

I agree with what Noelle stated - keep the summary for the harvester only!

 

+ sign in the farmers society quest takes me to the seed shop; this is nowhere near as helpful or desired as the one that took me to the market (albeit temporary it was brilliant).

 

wow , another click per cloud row..Are you people even thinking???! this game is already extremely click heavy, why add more useless clicks? speaking only for myself it is a massive turnoff and makes me want to ignore cloud row now.
I tried harvesting cloud row... what a PAIN! Good grief,3 clicks per row is way over the top! add to that you have to move cursor all 3 times to different areas,not a good move bp! I seriously doubt that anyone who has ever harvested manually would ask for more to click that only supplies redundant info! If we must have a pop up that tallies what has been harvested please ONLY ONE at the end of harvesting!

Thank you Teddy Bear, but which developer / designer or other decided it was a good idea in the first place? Did one of them say 'you know what, instead of curing some of the issues, let's give the players what we think they want most and what they've been clamouring for - a second results board to click on the cloud row for each cloud'.

I cannot believe that this was even thought something that would be accepted as useful - it has nothing to recommend it. It does not add one jot or iota of enjoyment, useful information, additional worth or even entertaining.

It shouldn't need negative feedback from the players for developers to have to undo something that should never have been even thought worthy of doing in the first place - it does not reflect well on the team that this went live, when it should have not even got to the drawing board.

Thank you for your feedback and criticism. As you know, we are unable to answer your question, but what we have been explained is that the thought behind this change ( I will not call it improvement because I don't want tomatoes thrown at me ) was a good one: the pop-up should have been implemented for very few rewards only, for example, for random tools or crafting ingredients, informing the players about the specific items received. Unfortunately, going live for all the rewards caused a big headache instead.

At the moment we don't now if the original version or the intended improvement will go live as soon as possible, but we know for sure it will be changed because it was not intended to work the way it is now.

Something that might interest you all: Some of your fellow farmers have found a workaround in the mean time Clicking very fast on the next cloud row, clicking on its round icon for harvesting it before the pop-up for the first one appears, will leave the pop-up in the background, saving the trouble of closing it after each harvest, allowing you to navigate and continue harvesting all the rows. Upon exiting the beanstalk and re-entering it, the pop-ups will be gone.

Hi teddy.bear. I want to thank you and the team for your prompt response to this situation. It has been changed back now so you can come out from behind your tomato shield, or use some of the catching practice gained from the carnival queen to catch some of those tomatoes and make ketchup.

EDIT: When I tried it before it was gone, but now it's back. I don't know why it didn't pop up before, but oh well. I'm glad you all are fixing it. Have a nice day.

HATE hate hate the new summary feature in the cloud rows. How do I shut it off. If it continues I will not be clearing the cloud row. It makes me too angry.

The shock wave is already soooooo slow, since about november 2015, maybe a little before that..that you add the delay and one more click (after you have to wait for the summary to be created and shown) I WANT TO SCREAM! The cloud is suppose to be a boon, not a detriment.

Before you started this, I tried to hit the cloud row - without having the hover window even pop up and that was getting harder and harder to do, now I know why - because this summary thing was coming. I have 80 + rows x 3 items per page is 240 x I would have to wait for the summary pop up. Would YOU have the patience for that? I sure don't.

Fix the things that still don't work. Don't screw with the things that are working.

Thank you, Doc425 I will use the practice to catch more chocolate bars and instead of tomatoes - chocolate is always yummier than ketchup *sharing some delicious treats with everyone*
