Just one thing. Has Europe already the day-light-saving-time? So that we know when to do our first harvest.

 

are you sure that is right davidb1yth007? I thought we needed 1036 drops wouldn't that be 173 drops a day? 173x6=1038 drops? just asking to make sure I'm not that good at math so just dbl checking

Well I checked and the good news is I have all the non event stuff waiting in the barn so no mad scramble today to finish those. I've also added to my trophies so while I'll probably have to wait on drops, I'm fairly confident of getting enough. I think the tough part for me is going to be growing enough event crops. So my strategy is going to be simple, get up early to start when the event starts, hit it long and hard while the CAC lasts and then hope I can grow the rest in time.

Does anyone know, is it possible to grow enough event crops using only water?

 

After the great how best to grow event seeds to get a field, yes all I ever use is water, I use all 4 big fields..... glade has it's own thing going on.

 

Shiny, once I have enough initial seeds to plant all fields, I almost never use anything but water on my fields (the price of poo is just way too much), and I never have any trouble getting the crops I need. My biggest problem this time is I won't have much computer time the first 3 days, so will get a slow start, may even take down the trees in my rainforest to maximize what time I do have. Good luck everyone!

 

I, too, only use water after the first round or 2 and can plant on all the fields that I am devoting to the event. I am keeping my rainforest in trees but will use the rest of the farm.

Has anybody else noticed that the honeydew melon is already in the seed list but shows a quantity of 0? I hope this is not an indication of a bug at the start of the event tomorrow.

 

Do you mean without manure/SG? Or do you mean without CAC/PJ? (since you were talking about CAC above)

Bats 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all bat channel all bat time.

See, that's why I am always wanting to try more, but then see I need to sit back more I should have picked up on the lack of information on CAC or lack of. Vary important thing.

 

This is an easier one. A CAC lasts 18 hours and with a PPP lasts 23 hours and 24 minutes.
So if you use 6 CAC followed by one PPP it near enough covers your six days.....

There is plenty of time to do these events with just water.But you need to use CAC and every square as a one by one, after the first three rounds ...(see below)
I clear off all my farm by the third round and use mostly two x ones for that third round Only, and then 1 x 1 for the fourth and so on... ...All with CAC....
Estimated time... for 17,000 six hour crops (4 hour 48 mins watered) with one nightly plant is three days.... four without the nightly plant....
Summary:
Round one; ten 2 x 2. use ten supergrow if you have it. activate CAC*** Before harvesting. Yield = 70
Round two; seventy 2 x 2 .... use 70 supergrow if you have it. Yield = 490
round three; cover as much of each field as you can with 2 x 1 s(454) and 1 x 1 s (36) on the edges. the 490 is not quite enough the entire farm (five fields) but it is close (plant 20 squares of pumkins, bell peppers or snowdrops [6hr crops]) Yield = 2414, but replant 964 1 x 1 s = nett yield of 1450
round four; All 1 x 1 s yield = 3856 replant 964 = nett yield of 2892
round five to eight; 4 x 2892 = 11568 Total to here =15910
round nine; need 1990 more = 664 squares more; I suggest you plant main field, green meadow, one baha field and 72 1 x 1 squares in the Glade. Total = 17902

While supergrow, manure and suzy's supergrow do help speed things up, they are not essential to finish this event in the allotted time.
Let's say you have two owls on these fields and you want to keep two pens out throughout the event. That is ten squares in total. Round three could be OK, and your yields shortfall after that will be 3 x 5 x number of squares (10 in this example) =150 so you will need 150 extra squares in round nine.....

 

frmrlife - I'm almost sure it is 6. Each CAC is prolonged to 23-something hours when using PPP, so it might actually be 7 if you haven't harvested in time.

this event looks like it starts at 2am edt again which is ok with me I'm going to try and stay awake until it starts then I'm going to go and do some nite fishing ( hopefully I will catch me some nice monster fish ) then ill come home and do my farms again then take a nap lol
