Play It Cool Event Strategies

Got the CR done. Given the decent straw drop rate on +10hr crops/pens/workshops I'll get back to farming as if there's no ongoing event at all.

If your only desire is the CR, 60/60 on both sides is indeed the best, cheapest and fastest option to go for.

 

You know it! Farm is still in diapers. Best time to start a new farm is during an event. Poop sales make start-up no problem. Poop was selling for nearly 500 ccs when it listed today. I wondered whether I could sell the dirty diapers too.

Who knows when I'll check it. The "cool" part is for the event, the "carrot" part is for One-Two playing around, and you know the "broke" part. Everything I list in the market will have (.12) one two.

Congratulations on the event. haaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh ....The event ......... haaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh ...... the junks!

 

The tasks are definitely getting harder. By that, I mean it is taking more glasses of water and more melon the further you go.

It also sure seems to me that the drop rate has decreased from the first day too.

Things that make you go hmmm...

 

Best part of this event are the posts you have been sharing! Thank you forum contributors, it is such a nice treat to read this thread. Neither of my farms will finish all of the steps, I am stopping at getting the cloud rows, that involves more than enough junk growing for me. Thank you so much to my friends and neighbors for the straws, so many more glasses of water to mill, but there is some light at the end of this tunnel!

 

Yes, for me the event is getting a LOT harder and the drop rate is going down. Bad news for the likes of me. I *may* get to 70 tasks today... may...

 

finished right side, left side finished up to task 27.
waiting melon matured. drops, so far look good. at least I still had 106drops waiting
for the melon. 81hrs left.
Even still in mix farming, only used 3.5 out of 5 field for event crop growing....
Finished will be no probelm. Just a matter of time.
Then can go back to normal farming.

 

I don't have any issue with the drops ........... it's just the thought of starting to get serious about growing the gazillion junks that's got me climbing the windmill.

 

Been taking my time and working the event from side to side about evenly. Have finished 93 tasks for the froggies, so it's looking good for a relaxed finish.

I haven't put all my fields in melons, which means the harvests have been smaller for me. The poo market was too tempting, so I've got two fields mostly in pens!

 

Willow, I'm doing the same, got 89 tasks finished and selling a little poo on the side.

 

I have all the melons I need I just need to get the drops so I can make the water glasses so on my main lands I am planting carnations and on the baha I am planting ginger and in the rainforest I have out elephants so I think I'm doing pretty good its the same on both of my farms

 

That's really a great way to do it.

121 tasks complete. CR activated. The rest is gravy!

 

Great to see everyone progressing well.

My approach this time has been quite questionable. I don't recommend following it but I'll share it. The key to it has been keeping fields active.

• No advance preparation then suddenly placing 400 angel apple trees.
• Beginning to grow the crops needed for the event after the event began
• (junk) CAC used and 1x1 plots
• Only 10 super grow used (not even necessary though but the monkey queen threw it so no worry with 10)
• one white innocence appropriately timed (use not necessary and was purchased super super cheap)
• Trees fruit needed for the event was all produced early on with no concern for ep
• BAHA and rainforest were full primarily of moranga trees for a comple of days
• Played with 44 cuckoo pens early on and sporatically (very unprofitable if one is concerned with immediate profits)
• Mill was occupied on BAHA so did not use it
• Grew the crop circles needed for the cuckoo feed
• Milled the cuckoo feed to take advantage of as much of the cuckoo chain as possible
• Used only one crop refinement that cuts time around RL (not in favor of all that paying ccs to change refinements as event does not need it to complete)
• Concentrated on drops early on with no concern whatsoever for junks growing until now. Manage to omplete about 110 step up to now and need event junks and no worry for drops as they will come easily in 3 days.
• Beginning now to gradually return farm to desired animal production while gradually getting the junks out of the way
• No mature use and only water
• Main mill is periodically free now for whatever it is
• A fsq with the reward being the farm equipment was used
• 110 - 115 parts done with left side completed
• Very disorganized with no real event goal in mind except just finish what I can.
• And I guess I should wrap it up with 400 angel aples trees again just for the sake of the angels

Five other accomplishments on the farm during this period so far:

1. Had none of shipwreck bay opened and now have it all open and full (and now the market must pay for it and I hope I remember to harvest the place sometimes but probably will not)
2. Began a few farm
3. Reached my goal of 1,000,000 peaches finally
4. Had a very nice experience with another farmer in market activity as explain earlier
5. Made a few ccs putting forth little effort

RL will not allow for convenient growing of event junks today so tommorow or the next day will be fine. No hurry hurry ....... defintely no hurry hurry to grow junks here!

Wow, it's great to hear that everyone is doing so well!

I have 65 tasks completed on the left, and 47 tasks on the right; all 3 items earned, but I'm fretting about cloud row at this point. Drops have been abysmal (may seriously try to invest in a Howie over the next couple of Renzo fairs since my LL is complete) but friends have been amazingly generous.

There's still hope!

 

There is nothing to worry about, you only need to complete 8 more tasks on the right side to get the cloud row, which requires 18 glasses of water (72 drops).

I should be the one worrying, I have only completed 55 on left and 36 on right (have not been able to harvest the 6 hour event crops on time due to real life) and still need 259 drops to get the cloud row. However, please do not send me drops because now that I have finally gotten all the event crops required, I can continue with my long crops to get more drops.
