Two fields of carnations, rainforest and glade full of trees, and Baha full of pens gave me 50 drops. Now the fun begins. :)

Drop rates are extremely low  Got 30 drops
Had trees in magical glade, 12h stables in meadow, rye in main field and trees + crops in baha + rainforest.

How can I get the Cloud Row...

We don't get any shears from our magic trees. Isn't the description of the trees that you get a drop from them during an event? Just don't know how they can change it.

BillyWhiskers had a field of rye, spelt and red cabbage and on Baha a field of trees and a field mixed of stables and trees. Drops: 52 LL rune 29%

Pnp: Field of leeks, iris, trees, and on Baha a field of trees and ginger. Did not harvest Rainforest trees. Drops: 23 LL rune at 30%
Usually jumbo trees give one drop per tree. This time, 5 jumbos yielded one drop.

Baby Farm: Stables, trees, onions, and on Baha trees and cactus. Drops: 32 Trophy 13%

    lottidah,
FAQ already stated that magic tree won't give drops, why they can changed?
they are BP, the game designer or we call the " Mighty game system"
They could change whenever they like Or, they think it is "good" to game.

trun back to game strategy, even I forget to harvest my chili & re-plant baha main field in ginger,
still, with around 2 full field of "comfort" carnation, all trees & workshops, stables, I got 45drops.
pretty good start. let see how the drops fall on event crops, it will see if BP want to give us a
    easy Easter event.

This is crazy  On this farm I have LL rune at 30%, 2 Howies, had all main fields with refined spelt and both Island fields in ginger...a handfull of trees. Got 37 drops.
Baby farm has LL rune at 24% with exact same setup and 47 drops o_O. Third farm has 29% LL rune exact setup and got 52 drops.

I had 10 drops to start and a bizarre glitch, so not sure I'm any indicator of anything. At least my lilies survived-- even if they aren't in the same field I planted them in!!

I think it's called the luck of the draw JJenks.:p Whatever the algorithm applies when you harvest. My LL rune is 28%, have CR activated, main fields some stables and carnations (was going to do spelt, but forgot until I seeded:wuerg:) and island ginger. I got 44 drops.

Well from my rainforest, filled with trees and all ready to harvest I got 2 drops and that's with LL at 30% - seriously. Off to have a rant in feedback about the magic trees.>:(

Initial 10 lily's yielded zero drops
I guess that was to be expected....but at least 1 would have been nice lol

Since there seems to be a trend in setting very different drop requirements for events lately, I find it easier to look at my percentages to get a better idea of how I'm doing with drops. I got 50 shears from my morning harvest. I think that's pretty average for event starts for me. It equals 20% of the total needed. (In the Play it Cool event I got 191 drops to start, only 18% of the total needed.) So, I think I'm doing ok.

Not at all happy about the magic tree situation. If they don't give event items, what's so magic about them?:sleepy:

Thanks poppyseed for the % calculation. Seems I am on the right side of the drops too. Its your morning there ? Its night 9 'o' clock here.

Back from work some 45 mins back or so. Did my 1st harvest got 60 drops. according to poppyseeds calculation that's fairly a good rate of drop. I had animal stalls mostly and ginger in comfort fields along with 8 orange pens and orange workshops in baha & rainforest. One howie and rune 29%

Can you please tell us Mooboy more about your preparation and did it yield good results. I am just curious to know. Will the future events take this direction ?

I am also curious to know the rate of drops from trees.
My trees were just in the 1x1 edges.

You came to the same conclusion as I ? Just try to stock up your barn and whenever you are in need of coupons, powerfeeds, supergrows etc, try to finish the necessary FSQ steps as the games roll by. Its more useful that way than trying to finish it super fast.

    A cool approach.

I want to encourage everyone to at least attempt part of this event. Even if you don't want to grow the event crop, you can easily do the following levels 1,2,8,7. With just these 4 levels you can get the event sticker, 2 carrot apple chutney (level2), 2 12 hr coupons for all helpers (level8) and 4 wonder trees(level 7). Seems like a very small price to pay for these goodies.

If you have the 65 pruning shears by the time the event approaches the end by all means do level 6, getting a reward of 4 wonder stables.

From there decide just what you want to do. Enjoy!

I left my farm in FSQ mode. Here's what I received this morning:
    main 9, meadow 9, glade 9, island main 2, rain forest 5 = 34.
Add 5 more from subsequent harvesting = 39.
Plus 5 more from neighbors for a grand total of 44 Shears.

I feel confident that the drop goal will be met.

@Mir85 You said "Hope this makes sense". Don't worry, I'll read and re-read until it does! :) Oh, thanks for the help. I certainly do need it. ;)

@12ss12 I take the laid back approach to this. I sew, I wait, I reap, and I wait for the animals to do their thing. I see this as a patience game. I think that's why I like it as much as I do.

Got 38 shears ...which i think is bad for everything i had out and my LL is at 30% near the end
And to not include the magic trees i think is CRUEL ...after all we got these to give us the extra drops ...what is the point of having them ????? ...IF we cannot use them in events ...when 9 out of ten the drops are pathetic and have been for a long time now>:(....for FIVE fields that is NOT even a good percentage for the effort and time put into these event

You are MEAN Farmerama EXtremely mean ...angry yes I am ...for working my butt off to get pittance

***Gets off her soap box and goes for a coffee and to calm down***

Thank you tpabird. I have added your strategy to my first post. Good suggestion.

You have hit nail on its head. That's why I like this game too.

My rant is over :music:, you are so right poppyseed. It was just a shock to see such low drop numbers on this farm...I'm spoiled, I admit it :pxD.
    With only 250 shears needed thats 45 per 24 hours....easy peasy :p ;)
