When I was a young teen, we had a wild turkey show up in our yard. We didn't have a garage, only a carport, and it decided that the top of my mom's GMC Pacer was a good place to roost:p. Actually was an improvement on the looks of the car:wuerg:xD.
When we moved into our house 20 years ago, there were no squirrels here in our town. In the "city" 40 miles away, yes, but not here. Then a few pairs showed up (kinda thinking someone decided we needed them and transplanted them), and now they're all over. They drive my poor dogs nuts when they come in the yard looking for food (my fault, I used to put peanuts out for them, and they learned to come here for easy meals. For a while every time I stepped out on the porch at least one squirrel would come running, and if I didn't give them nuts, they'd follow me across the yardxD. I don't much anymore - well, okay, sometimes:oops: - but they still come.)

Love those neons, great find 12ss12!:inlove:

I'm liking the Neons too. I can hardly wait.

As a youngster growing up here in California it was common knowledge that the only nasty snake we had was the Rattlesnake.

A number of years later my father and I were hunting deer when I spied a Coral snake. It wasn't a King snake as some suggested. Trust me, I know the difference. I captured it and took it to the local zoo where they confirmed my suspicion. It was indeed a Coral snake. Come to find out some kind hearted souls felt they should be West of the Rockies too. -.-

There's just no accounting for stinkin thinkin!

I raised a squirrel once after it fell out of its nest.
Had to bottle feed it, it was so young didn't even have hair yet.
Most fun animal I ever raised.
Ran around me like I was a tree! lol
I would have yard sales and the squirrel would jump on strangers
and totally freak them out. ~
    Fun times lol

Our black lab, Daisy was an adept squirrel hunter. We used to find a rigimortis one in our yard every few months.:wuerg:

So, once when a baby squirrel fell out its nest in our yard, we locked the dogs in the house. Then carefully put the baby(eyes weren't open yet) on the top of the fence. The mama squirrel was raising havoc and barking at us the whole time. She then came to the fence....fetched her baby and put it back in the nest.:music:

We were living in second floor in the quarters, then (I was a school student then & life went in a much more slower phase than now.....good old days ....:inlove:those days.:inlove:..I truly miss them....). We have several big trees at the back side of our flat and its easy for us to reach the branches from our window. We have a big library in our house. There were lots of books in the lofts too. We had a cloths line inside one of our room. Suddenly what did we find but that a squirrel has given birth to a lot of baby squirrels in our loft. We did not know this until the baby squirrels were well enough to run on our clothes line. They stayed for few days and went away. They were very soft to touch and delicate too.

LOL... a few years ago, I got into a discussion with a coworker who insisted he had seen one in Arizona. Apparently some were actually indigenous. At least they appeared on the native charts by then.

I am told that the only reason corals are not more dangerous is that they have very small mouths.

On another note, my kids don't really believe that I used to have to check the sandboxes for snakes when I babysat a couple kids who lived up in the hills (aka.. for all you easterners, a "hill" or "foothill" is anything under about 5000 Feet -- lol).

As much as I like the neon horse, have to say those dancing turkeys are extremely cute. Wonder if they're dancing to Turkey in the Straw.
