Doc425, this is a picture posted in a Technical issues thread by a mod. If you look just below the Prize, you will see the symbols that are needed to open the door. Once you have all the symbols needed, the Open Door lights up. For example, under the CAC image are two symbols, a circle and a wave. In this example, none of these have been earned so the Open is greyed out. Hope this helps. :)

so far I have gotten four circles - only circles. traded vases for the 2 sure-thing squares to get going into first room. used the 3 circles in first room since they were all I had. and just got yet ANOTHER circle ! almost 2 days of playing and only circles. may not be any strategy at all. just open what we can before time runs out.
OR only do the sure thing squares.

Thank you MARLYMAR and Noelle.:) Now it makes more sense.:po_O

EDIT: I just found out the hard way that when you change one room to the next level it changes all rooms to the next level. I thought I had it all set up to get the first giver, "That was Close", in the middle and 30 units of power feed on the right. But since I was waiting on more Lobster claws to grow to open those two and I had plenty of Silver vases to open the left door to get 20 Suzy's turbo mulch with 4 squares, I would just go ahead and do that. -.- o_O o_O When I opened the third door on the left, it moved me to the fourth door in all the rooms! xD I learned the hard way that if you see something you really want, don't open any other doors until you get it!:(:p

Something else I've learned today: I have been manual farming, but decided to use the harvesters from an FSQ today for a break and my drops have increased dramatically! :D On the same field, with the same crop, I'm getting twice, or more, drops than I did when I was manually farming. I waited for several harvests just to make sure, but it is consistent.:wuerg:

the only thing I don't like is if you forgot to mark one or two that you have gotten its hard to determine how many of what you still need as far as the squares circles and triangles :cry:

Ugh! All this RANDOMNESS distracted me from sticking to my strategy plan (to get all 3 givers asap in round 1)>:(. I got SO excited about actually having enough RANDOM keys to finally open another door, that without checking my notes I opened the door to the CR in room 6 instead of waiting until I had the right keys to open the door to the 3rd giver-.-:wuerg::oops:. Now I'll miss out on that giver's EPs/TEPs that I could have been earning a few times until I was finally able to open the door to the CR in round 2 (which may take days, who knows, lol). Oh well, not a bad screw up, but still a screw up :sleepy:.

Caution everybody: If you've gone to all the trouble of making a strategy plan like I did, make sure you check your notes first before you open any doors... lol. Otherwise you have to wait until you get to the next round, (and open more doors) before you'll be able to get the prize you wanted:eek:

Have decided to try to get all the keys before opening doors. So far have gotten 7 waves, 8 circles and 5 triangles on this farm; 5 waves, 9 circles, 6 triangles on second farm. Doesn't seem to be too bad for the first 38 hours of the event. Will see how it goes tomorrow before deciding if I should continue with this plan. Good luck to everyone.

Doc, there are 6 rooms with three doors in each room. No 4th door anywhere. What does happen is that if you open a door, you go to the next room. You have to tour all 6 rooms and then you will be back in room 1 for a second round. At this point, you will see that one door is opened (from your first round) and two doors remain.

I too have decided to wait till I have the initial amount needed to gain the random keys before I start trading. Mir's suggestion of doing the random doors first has merit. So that is the path for me.

    Progress thus far:

    Stone Tablets 385
    Silver Vases 6208
    Lobster Claws 2634

    So far, so good.

Thank you Noelle.:) I read and reread the event FAQ several times, but I think the 3 openings is what was throwing my 1 watt brain off. :p After reading your posts and rereading the event FAQ it's finally becoming clearer. Looking at it from that perspective the little circle showing the rooms lighting up as you enter them even starts to make sense. ;) Thanks for your kind, simple, clear explanation to someone who's mind is about as fast as molasses in winter. o_O:eek:

Hope all are progressing well. The broke farm is nearly shut down and working the new farm, noobbie. STarted the day before the event began. Hint to progress: It has graduated from the mentors nest. The event is not nearly finished nor am I with that farm. Will update further near the end of the event.

I do not know what I clicked but all fields in bahamarama got deleted with the event crops. So there goes nearly 752 event crops :p:cry:xD. The beauty of it is that, yesterday too I couldn't refrain from clicking to make the random keys and used up all my silver vase and some 20 to 30 crops were the only ones left out. So I planted 8 in the green meadow and remaining in the baha. All went out except that 8x4=32 + 5(replenished 5) = 37. So now I am starting with 37 for the silver vase.:cry:xD

Not opened any rooms yet. But hope to catch up tomorrow.:) Glad to see everyone is progressing and broke is sky rocketing with is new farm and new mentor. He manages to keep himself busy and entertained. :)

Broke, Initially I thought why you are opening such huge number of farms. But now I see, you do that with a purpose, set different goals for each farm and experiment yourself and make your own events and do not succumb to regular events but go through your own events. :)Such a lot of thinking on my part without event attempting to think. [IMG] Sure I must have become intelligent. ;):pxD

Thanks sanddollar, banjo and pnp for the encouragement:).
I am feeling better now, and I am back to juggling school and farmerama:p.

Just tried to exchange 11 keys and got 8 wave, 2 circles and 1 triangle>:(, think I will ignore this event and rest well, especially when I am lagging behind with drops (only 314 drops). At least I have gotten the "That Was Close" item that will give an extra 1586 bep everyday...

Once again, good luck to all trying to finish this event :)

One-Two, can you imagine a new farm getting 75 golden bananas at one time without growing a thing on BAHA?

I need to buy some stars and the stars are getting expensive. Those poor chickens hahahaha.

I need to give um a real tasty treat. When the event is over I think I'll give them all the power feed I earned from the quests and never check the farm again. hahahah For all of eternity they'll munch on power feed. Believe me, they would have earned it.

After a great business trip to Azores (and being almost a week without playing) I'm two harvests away of each event plant. So far, I've opened all first square rune doors and 5 of the twelve random rune doors. I'm in room 6 now, waiting for the right geometric shapes to open a second door. Unfortunately, I didn't write which doors I opened before so I have no idea how many of each geometric rune I have to get.
I'm hoping that I only have to plant only one batch of each event plant if needed. Crossing fingers!

Anyway, good luck to all and may the roulette runes "force" be with you!

EDIT: Exploration round #3; room 2. Got every geometric shape I needed so far. Now I need 3 circles in a row to finish room 2. Can I get it????

    > I really like reading the forum because it has so much information from such great farmers.
    > Normally I don’t post very often; however, with this event I felt compelled to.
    > Hind-sight is 20/20; wishing I’d skipped this event.
    > The randomness of the 3 keys (circle, wave & triangle) is outright ridiculous.
    > When I did an exchange and received the following, I feel the odds are against you from the very beginning.
    11 circles, 3 waves, 0 triangles
    > Another really disturbing and quirky thing is that if one wanted to buy extra stone tablets, there is still no guarantee of receiving the keys one needs to finish the event or to get the gifts they desire and in turn one cannot calculate how many event flowers to really grow.
    > Well, I started the event so I’ll keep trudging along & see how far I can advance. Maybe I’ll get lucky & beat them at their own game.
    > Good luck to all!!!!!
