Announcement charity: water - Results of World Water Day 2016

Howdy Farmers,

Once again, we’re absolutely blown away by our players’ amazing generosity and caring spirit! Thank you for showing your commitment to helping communities gain access to clean water by supporting charity: water through the purchase of the “Well Wishes” Magic Stalk Pack. In just six days, farmers from over 80 countries exceeded our initial goal and raised $58,565. Incredible!We donated 100% of the revenue from the sale and, in turn, charity: water will use 100% of the donation for clean water projects. The simple gift of clean water makes a huge impact. It prevents disease; it helps children spend less time collecting water and more time getting an education; and, last but not least, it helps communities earn more income to fight poverty.​

When the clean water projects are completed, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.​

As you may recall, our previous campaigns raised close to $125,000 and have helped 1,500 people in Ethiopia and Kenya, plus 11 communities in Nepal after last year’s earthquake gain access to clean water.
