Temple of Doors Event Strategy

I only need 4 more doors on this farm to complete the event it is doable I'm a little further behind on my other farm but I have faith I will complete it also DBayes the 2 givers are one is in room 3 middle and room 5 middle and the cloud row which you already got is room 6 middle and the other giver is room 6 right hope this helps

 

congrats flwrsndnc ! Seems you are doing great. Congrats all other on your progress. I will be doing great tomorrow afternoon or atleast by tomorrow evening. So far opened only one room, the second room (taken Mir's advice which is good I think) and have not progressed any further. But doing it in a relaxed way.

Farmer_broke You got such a lot of GBs in a day or two ? Now, how many BBs did you get ?. Instead of using the powerfeed on chickens why don't you breed them and put them on market.

NanaLyn Welcome to the strategy thread. Drop in now and then with your experience. But I don't think this event is terrific like you think. As you progress, you might find it more easier I suppose. All events can't be similar.

I have grown 11549 lobster claws
about 6000 silver vase
I have 472 tablets.
I am glad I have waited till I have everything to start opening doors
especially since reading how everyone is having much trouble with the randomness of this event.
I hope when I am done with all these crops and tablets I can shoot right through the entire event.

Been reading everyone's comments and I guess I'm lucky. So far, my keys have been pretty evenly distributed. Just hope it stays that way. Think I'll change strategy a bit and stop opening doors - just exchange for keys until I have a good amount of everything. I don't really want the frustration of needing a specific key to advance and wasting a day trying to get it. The closer we get to the end, the fewer doors to open and the greater the opportunity for frustration just waiting for the right key.

 

Ok Folks,

I am a bit confused with this event. I only want the givers and cloud row--does that mean I only have to do the middle door of each room, then the last door and I can forgo the first (left) door.

If this is the case than I have wasted a bunch of silver vase crops.

I am not one to be confused with the requirements and order of an event until this one. Can someone enlighten me.

to get just the cloud row and givers you just need to do room 3 middle door ( Giver ) room 5 middle door ( Giver ) and room 6 right door ( Giver ) room 6 middle door ( Cloud Row ) hope this helps you don't have to do any of the doors on the left

 

@cookie02840, I wasted silver vases on that room as well, (since I wasn't clear on how the temple doors worked, plus it was the first door I had keys to open). But yes, it appears to me that those of us that only want the CR and givers could have skipped the door that rewards the sticker entirely... because as long as we open any 1 door in a room we are then moved on to the next room where we can again choose any door we want to. (If you want to finish the whole event tho, you must open the door that rewards the sticker in order to complete all 3 rounds).

I can't believe what I've just done. I've used almost 3000 silver vases getting square keys I don't need instead of the other keys.

 

Steadily heading towards the rank of a professional door opener. Who would've thought a farmer could be such?
Managed to get the Cloud Row this morning and it's up and running! Now working on round 3, collecting the goodies. Got 3 doors to go till the finish.

Ofcourse the randomness of keys can be annoying, I too felt I had way too many circles at one point, but those came in handy a few doors later. I'm happy this isn't a straight forward event.

Not that it helps much, but at least each extra/left over square key will be exchanged for 380 EP + 380 TEP + 500 CC after the event is over...

I found my way out again - opened every door and ended up with a surplus of 2 circle keys.

So Far Manged to get 19 Circle Keys, 8 Wave Keys and 9 Triangle Keys. I have 5 Circle Keys too Many. Just Wish I could Trade these to those who cannot get Enough Circle Keys.

It is very annoying not knowing how many additional Silver Vases and Lobster Claws i need to Grow. So I am now Aiming to get 6 Wave Keys and 5 Triangle Keys. Growing Additional Silver Vases or Lobster Claws is the Issue getting Additional Stone Tablets need to Prolong me to be able to resume to normal farming.

I would be extra careful not to donate too many silver vases and Lobster claws to get Shaped Keys. As it will be Pain to Rebuild These Stocks Back Up As I keep a Float just around 1000 Each depending how many more i need to regroup to get the remaining Shaped Keys.

I will use my Keys Once i got all of The Keys. There is no rush to get Giver Items and Cloud Row really for me

If you Read my First Post at End of Posting is Does Give Guidance to Which Doors to Unlock of Each Room to get Givers and Cloud Row. I did say be careful to which Doors to Unlock !!

I am sorry to hear that Erridge, Cookie02840, GuineaUP to have made mistakes. I Hope a pray no further mistakes are made. It is an Event many of us Dislike, plus it not kind Event it was hyped up to be either.

As we need to get those needed shaped keys that is eluding us Hope we finally get to break that Jinx

What the future holds is unknown to any of us. A big blank. I'm sure you're able to deal with it and have fun in the meantime!

PS. for those collecting prior to opening doors, my advice would be to get the Square Keys first, and to use the remaining stock and the tablets to do the Shaped Keys. I learned it might be wise to wait about a minute between creating those. I got far less "doubles" once I started doing so.

 

When will we have it?

 

Finished here on pnp. The random factor did not hit too hard. I have 4 left over circles and I do have extra crops but that was my own miscounting.

On BW, the random factor has hit and will require more crops. I have 19 squares, 13 triangles, 14 circles and only 2 waves. Crops have caught up with drops and will need to plant a longer overnight crop other than the lobster claw to boost drops.

Third farm was only going for trees and PF and has finished. Only 1 extra wave key but a couple of thousand extra crops due to not fully understanding how the event functioned and thinking I needed way more than I actually did.

With CAC still running, I will grow crops to top off until bedtime and then go back to animals to prepare for the breeding event, work on a quest, and to sell the manure.

Have completed one room so far and looks like half of the rest ... just to make sure I knew what I was doing ... and so far haven't had any random ...they are probably waiting round the corner ready to pounce on me at some point ...

Before opening the doors ... I made sure ... all my fields had crops growing in them

Last event I made a Boo Boo and was VERY lucky to find I hadn't harvested a field or I would have been waiting for the 5 crops to be delivered
TODAY.. I Have met Mr RANDOM and now have 6 waves 2 circles 1 triangle and no squares and getting low on silver vases

So far have got all the givers and now have to try to figure out where room 6 is to get the cloud row ...wish they had numbers lol

From my experience: yes, randomness is quite weak here, but you can use it. If you need one specific shape (for example circle) use following strategy: generate one shape every few minutes, but if you get the one you need (circle) immediately generate another. There is a high chance that it will be the same, so you will get more of the shapes you need.

It seems it's how the randomness works. Every minute 3-5 of a shape does appear, then a new shape occurs.
Use it to your adventage. Or maybe not.

 

Ehh my mistake isn't so bad mooboy, because as the junk growing has progressed I've changed my focus from just getting the CR and givers to actually trying to complete the event. I'm headed for the last giver now, and then I'll progress goodie by goodie until I finish the event...

PS...Thanks for the input about the key randomness strategy fluffy I will try that with my next round of harvests.
